Celestial Peak Chapter 434

Silver Blade World — [Dragon Blood Tavern]
"Sir Ling Wudi, do you think that Brother Wang Fu will be able to recover from this?"
"I don't know, but whether he does or not has nothing to do with us anymore. I already did him the favor of allowing his heart to see its darkness, if he can't even see his mistakes past that, then that would mean that's his limitations."
Wang Ling was not talking to Chang Ping, rather to Wang Fei who decided to join them instead of the Wang Family group. Her arm had already been reattached, the meridians did not suffer any major damages, but was still receiving treatment from Wang Ling.
Wang Fei had her arms severed by her cousin who was swallowed by a Heart Devil. Despite them sharing blood it was hard to trust someone who had tried to cut you down once. Wang Ling did not mind her presence and with her joining their group, Wang Ling needed not to hire a guide to the Tomb.
Also, Wang Ling made another deal with Wang Fei that she'd inform her about the war between the Wang Family and the White Tiger Clan. Wang Fei did not say anything against his requests as the war was not some secret.
"This war began when another scuffle erupted when our family and the White Tiger Clan finally decided to reconcile and bury the hatchet by holding a martial conference. The Wang Family Masters against the Second-Generation Deities all stepped up to fight one another, and then, when the White Tiger Clan lost, they caused a ruckus and attacked us like cowards. My Uncle, the Second Elder, received grievous wounds because of this attack."
Her words had no hint of a lie behind them, it was all the truth. Either that or Wang Ling had lost the ability to see through lies.
"Tch, this is why we are losing against the Abyssal Demons, those bastards from the bigger powers can't even pick their priorities. Instead of helping the Towers, they go about on their own ways prancing about trying to devour each other's powers." Chang Ping clicked her tongue as she cursed the two Superpowers.

Wang Fei creased her brows at those words, "I-I may be indebted to Miss Chang, but I will not just stand by as you badmouth my family. We of the Wang Clan values the Universe, we have been protecting the Origin World long before this calamity happened so we have our reasons for not being able to send out our strongest Masters!"
Wang Fei came to defend her family. Her words were, once again the truth. The Wang Family had been protecting the Origin World with the Xiao Family for a long time. They who had been fighting against the enemies inside the Origin World had lasted for millennia.
Chang Ping knew of this as well as she was one of the few who managed to witness the Hero Wang Shu Qing fight against the Abyssal Demons with nothing but a single Spear and his long-time friend, the Blood Spear, Sun Wu.
This was very common knowledge in the Universe, but from the side, Wang Ling's hands stopped as he paused his spoon, "Is something wrong, Sir Ling Wudi?" Chang Ping asked and Wang Ling shook his head.
"Nothing, I just remembered something, disregard me and just go on and have your conversation." Wang Ling stated as he returned to eating. He had already cut the mask he was wearing in half after learning that doing would not be a problem.
He ate in silence contemplating the bountiful information he was given, [Father has become the Hero of the Origin World… the realm formed by the Creator himself. Hearing stories of Butler Sun is rather surreal, however.]
Stories like this make Wang Ling feel that there was hope that his family was alive. Even after Centuries and Millenia had passed and their names no longer get mentioned so often, Wang Ling wished to believe still. Even if the newer generations replaced the old Heroes, Wang Ling relished the old days where his family's name was uttered.

Days would come to pass as Wang Ling with his two companions. They entered the Silver Blade World near the Tomb and without delaying anything they would reach the Breakblade Mountain where the Tomb lies in between a small crevice.
They arrived in the Rockey Valley. Upon their arrival, everyone already sized them up to see if they would be contenders for the loot. From Big Clans to the youths from the Towers seeking to gain more experience.
There were also the hopefuls wishing to gain more for themselves. Wang Ling walked across the path and then after some time, everyone finished their own evaluations… they sneered at them for only the injured could even post a threat to them.
In places like this, there would always be levels of worth. The surrounding area of the Raid Target would always be split into levels: Those who could contend against the best of the best: those who have slightly weaker skillsets: and the bottom feeders.
[That would usually be it, but I can sense some strong presences nearby.] Wang Ling looked around, though he found no one he could feel that there were still people watching from afar. There were adults, masters, in charge of making sure no one dies.
In this Era where every genius mattered the most in hopes of raising the chances of the Universe's collective survival, the Masters were there to make sure that none dies. In this Legacy Tomb, the fight for resources would undoubtedly be perilous and those who would step out of this event would be recruited to be raised by various Sects and Towers.
Wang Ling only wishes to secure a fire attuned weapons and finally discover the paths of the Overhaul Phoenix Rebirth Technique.
Wang Ling had no plans of being a part of the limelight so just before he could enter those touted to be the best of the best, Wang Ling stopped at the above average line.
"Mister Ling, are not going to continue further? Brother Wang Fu should be there as well, it is the least I would be able to do for you." Wang Fei stated but Wang Ling shook his head.
"I will not, I came here not to receive the eyes of the Masters surrounding the area. I wish not to steal the limelight from the others." His words could not be any more arrogant, but hearing that the woman's words about Wang Fu, none spoke out loud in fear of being sent away.
This masked man was not normal. They all thought to themselves.
Wang Fei tried to convince several times over only to fail and then, Wang Ling finally just chose to stand by the roadside and observe the coming and goings of the other people.
"Will you come with me, Chang Ping?"
"No, my body will be barred from entry. Like it had always been the Legacy Holds have strict rules about those who could enter their tomb. I will remain here and wait for Master to exit."
"Is that so? Then I will try and make… this… trip quick." All of a sudden Wang Ling grew silent.
He smiled, and then closed his eyes.
'Did you sense that Master?'
'Yeah, it appears that something quite interesting is happening.' He said as Wang Ling felt the five similar qis… a group of "impostors" have arrived.

Under a Boundless Sky
If you were to ask someone what they thought of Revian Snow, they would say that she's small. Cute too. Doesn't talk much. Average grades, and hard to find in a crowd, though you'd think that someone with her looks would be more noticeable. She also plays the popular VRMMO's for some reason, but doesn't like to interact with others too much, even online. In short, she doesn't stand out too much. She likes it that way—After all, it's much easier to keep a secret when nobody's looking for one. If you enjoy my work, please consider supporting me on Patreon. It's a great help to me, and a very good motivation to do better, and more. I hope you continue to enjoy what I write!

Briars and Thorns
Millenia ago, humanity faced a catastrophe. Some devastating, catastrophic event that even to this day leaves its impact on humankind and the Earth. That’s not where our story takes place though, instead we look to space, where humans have taken up residence among the stars. Living in huge industrial space stations, life is a bore. Dull daily routines are broken only by extravagant fashion, music, and other means of self expression. Also, of course, the lifeblood of the stations- games. Four months ago, humanity was contacted by the first ever known alien life forms. These aliens, calling themselves the Erta offered their designs and schematics for their True Virtual Reality (TVR) console, as well as access to their game in exchange for peace. And humanity, excited at the opportunity to achieve one of their life long dreams (that is, to experience True VR), graciously took them up on their offer. Now, after scientists have finally confirmed the console to be safe for humans, the game is to finally be released to the public. This comes to the joy of most of the population, but a small portion of them can't help but be upset. As thousands of the researchers meant to be developing virtual reality, are fired overnight. Meet Brian Reed, one of these newly unemployed workers. Now, join Brian as he explores the very game that was the death of his job. And watch as he learns that the game is not quite what it seems.

Supreme Formation Immortal Sovereign
Falling under the Heavenly Tribulation, Ascending Celestial Oalur Kang finds that he's back in the past. Watch him pursue the Heavenly Path of Formations and rise to the peak of the Immortal Path! . . . . . . . . . Hello, this is F-Rank! This is my take on writing cultivation stories. Though I'm sure nobody cares, the intent behind this story was focused on creating a more or less logical cultivation system. I read several stories where the mc transmigrated to a cultivation world (not calling names to avoid unnecessary angst) and was able to completely break the cultivation system and the logic of the world because they had the power of science on their side and were able to think more logically than everybody else. Despite the fact that some characters in those stories were older than the scientific method of thinking and even the human civilization as we know it and the whole society was older than our human race. So I decided to write a story where things about cultivation make sense (as far as a magical world full of super magical people can make sense), so here we are. I don't know if I will be able to fulfil this purpose but I hope that the story will end up enjoyable. Can also be considered a prequel for my other story "Wasn’t my new life in a magical world supposed to be easy?" but has very little overlapping content and can be read as a stand alone story. Also available on Scribble Hub.
