Celestial Peak Chapter 431

[Day 8 on the Cosmic Sailer]
Wang Ling seated on the stern like always, by his side was Roan drinking alcohol with each other as they watched the children train, 'How is it that you are training in the sword, Wudi? I thought the White Rings didn't train their bodies and just used the element of the world?'
'I thought I was just a normal human a few days ago, I couldn't possibly change my way of fighting after so long. The swords I mastered can match those who had trained for years now, I am not giving up the path I created just so that I can conform to tradition.' Wang Ling was still playing make-believe with Roan who think of him as someone from the White Rings or the Holy Race.
Wang Ling rested his head on his knuckles, sighed at the sight of Chang Ping, and just told her, "Lower your arms, how many times have I told you not to bother with defending. You cannot defend effectively on war, just take the blade and minimize the damage by altering your weight in your legs." Wang Ling's instructions stopped being hidden under his breath.
He no longer cared for being obscured and just chose to make his voice heard by Chang Ping. The others with him, were, of course listening to him ramble on but none of them stepped forth to say anything because Wang Fu's eyes had been glued onto Wang Ling for the past few hours now.
"Is something the matter? Is this about the matter with her? If you are wondering I am more than happy to tell you that I was only checking her condition, she was inflicted with poison and I was curing her!" Wang Ling exhausted by this charade just blurted out what he had been keeping to himself for days now.

Wang Fu's glare did not settle down however, he was still observing Wang Ling checking to see if he was lying or not.
The silent Hero, the Silk River Sword, someone with a continuous flowing blade walked towards Wang Ling. With an apathetic expression, his sword intent rising he asked Wang Ling, "Why are you telling me this?" he now stood before Wang Ling and Roan.
The others who came with the Silk River Sword were surprised to see him proactively approach someone else. Wang Go, Wang Xin, and Wang Fei have been wondering what the matter was for the past couple of days. This action of his confirmed a lot of their thoughts about the matter that had been confusing them since the other day.
Ji and her companion the Green Mask Hal were also intrigued by the passing drama that made the travel tolerable.
When Wang Fu came back to them, they found him with a sour and unwanted expression, seeing how he confronted Wang Ling and the latter's earlier explanation, they managed to surmise that a misunderstanding had formed between the three.
"Wang Fu, do you not think that is enough? Causing any more trouble would not only cause Sister Chang Ping and Brother Wudi about everyone here in the Sailer. Do you not think you are overstepping your bounds?" Wang Xin, the Dragon Spear stated.
Wang Fu considered his words, but Wang Ling suddenly raised his hands.
"You do not have to stop him if he wishes to do something. We are merely clearing a misunderstanding, and hm stepping up means that he's interested in clearing this mishap, are you not?" With but a yawn he looked Wang Fu in the eyes, asking him, "You ask me why I told you this, then, I shall provide an answer, but blame me not for speaking these words for they are merely my answer.

"First, you have been glaring at me since we met at the breakfast table. Second, your intent is running amok as though you are some ignorant children who just gained his intent. Third, you clearly have feelings for Chang Ping yet a simple misunderstanding you painted in your head after catching a single glance. Lastly, I do not want any future troubles with any of the Wang Family coming from this encounter."
Wang Ling's words were pure and straightforward, he didn't mince his words and just got to the point. He was not afraid of Wang Fu who was nearing the 6th Rank of Cultivation. In the Cosmic Sailer, he had Roan to rely on so he didn't really fear for his life.
He provoked Wang Fu with simple words, yet he remained silent for a good while. Wang Xin and the others from the Wang Family saw Wang Fu trembling, "Wang Fu, that is enough, do no—"
But they were too late as Wang Fu confronted Wang Ling with brave and strong words, "What do you know, you brute of a man? My heart has never beaten this wildly before and you think that I have no right to worry about her? Your presence is that of a nuisance to everyone who taints beauty… you who have tainted the beauty of Sister Chang Ping's Sword dare to question my love for such an art!?"
"…you lost me, insane young man."
Wang Fu's brows creased ever deeper, "So you act innocently after changing that flowing art making it look crude without so much as a hint of elegance. I shed a tear because I knew you were further destroying the art that was Sister Chang Ping—"
At some point, Wang Ling stopped listening.
Wang Ling was speechless at Wang Fu's words. Never had he met someone with such a level of incoherent idiocy?
'Hehe.' Chang Ping snickered as she heard Wang Fu's words. Such ridiculousness was unexpected for someone like Wang Fu.
Wang Ling could hear Chang Ping snicker, and then he just smiled as she said, 'So the Master is wrong, how rare is this? I better tell this to the others when we meet them in the future.'
'…I want to return to my room, how about you take care of this matter?' Wang Ling argued back without much thought.
'Please do not bring throw this trouble at me. I wish not to be drag into the matter. Though the situation is different, it does not change the fact that the Master needs to reconcile with the man who would help open the Tomb for us. I do not think the Master should fight them, like it or not they are stronger than us, and I am not the one with problems with him, you are. I that I might have unknowingly seduced him with a simple laugh… but who would have thought he would fall for my sword dance? Clearly, I am not to blame.'
These words made Wang Ling suddenly had an idea and then, he stood up. Wang Ling became silent, he looked Wang Fu straight in the eyes, sighed ever so deeply, and just said, "As I thought, you are useless with the sword."
"What!?" Wang Fu, was ever so slightly enraged by that remark.
Wang Ling smiled.
'Master, what are you doing? I thought you were patching things up with him.'
'I am'
'How? You are only making him angrier.'
'Exactly.'

When the army rangers of the United States collide with the members of the Hunter's Guild, who will win? Updates on Wednesdays/Thursdays Cover is my own creation. Tips to reading: This is my first book, so cliches and tropes are used as the base and then expanded upon. My intention is to make it a casual read but deep if you decide to look closer. I'm not a people person, so my focus and purpose for writing this is to explore the world building and magic system, not necessarily the characters. There won't be a villian until the postgame ;) Author's philosophy: I took an professional personality inventory (through a community college back in 2018) and was categorized as a "double-checker." I'm never satisfied with the work that I complete, and never want to share it with anyone. But this book is a challenge to myself! As a rule of thumb, I will only add to the story. I can't remove elements I've already included (unless absolutely, absolutely necessary). PS, I'm a native English speaker.

OutRage: Total Realism.
What happens when a game company strives for total immersion and realism from a VRMMO?Players require food, sleep, personal hygeine, air to breathe and everything else required for life. The up side is that its still a game, Players respawn, can use magic, can basically do anything they want with obvious exceptions like: not going to prison for assassinating a ruling monarch, not that you cant do it only that its very hard to do.In comes our protagonist a university student majoring in the sciences, namely chemistry. His name is Henry Jacobs, 19 years old and a complete loner.A new VRMMO game was annouced and it bragged and boasted about how it would be the first in a new era of VR gaming as it would give the game a total of 100% realism, meaning when you get hit it hurts, when you walk into a dungeon full of zombies it will stink as you'd expect like rottting corpses. This game is titled Outrage: Total Realism. Which was a joke made by the publishers knowing how most people would be either excited or enraged.
