Celestial Peak Chapter 415

The masked swordsman held Leo's body, he carefully lifted him up and then wiped his sword with his clothes. The masked swordsman looked at the gaping hole on the child's stomach, he crouched down, and with a flick of his hand, a golden pill appeared.
"This is going to be wasted on this child…it will kill him too. Tsk, I should have listened to Sister Yue. I need to get him to a hospital quickly, he ne—" He paused as he looked around, "How annoying."
As he said those words, he quickly touched Leo's head to temporarily close stop the bleeding after doing so chains wrapped around the masked swordsman's neck. The masked swordsman looked behind him and saw a pair of women holding tightly on the chains, "Get away from Senior Brother!" the both of them bellowed.
Ella and Rea pulled the masked swordsman, they felt resistance for a moment but the two of them somehow managed to pull him away from Leo. The masked swordsman was flying towards the two girls and as he was being so his eyes was directed at the dark night skies and there, he saw was the falling figure of another boy holding a sword.
Vaki who had been waiting for a chance jumped high up and readied his sword and the moment he saw an opening he took it without any hesitation, "Twilight Sword: Moon Blade!" he swung his sword, and just as it was about to hit the target, the masked swordsman twisted his body and used his hands to parry the sword.
"Good technique, but you're too weak to execute its essence." The masked swordsman said as he stabbed Vaki's sword on the ground. Vaki thought that was the end but the masked swordsman moved his hand and punched Vaki's solar plexus, "I have enough of almost killing for the night." Leo was an unfortunate accident.
The masked swordsman stopped on his tracks, as Vaki dropped on the ground, he pulled the chains holding him and pulled Ella and Rea. The two, however, quickly let go of the chains, seeing their decisiveness the masked swordsman raised his brows, but with the flick of his wrist, the chains suddenly came alive like snakes.

The chains slithered and then wrapped themselves on their bodies. The masked swordsman smiled underneath his mask and pulled them to him. Ella and Rea felt the massive pressure placed upon them and as their body got dragged to their enemy's area, they remembered Wang Ling's lesson for such an event.
They were already placed in such a position, then tapped their heels and on Ella's right sandal and Rea's left sandal hidden knives appeared, they lashed out with a kick using the technique Wang Ling thought them.
"Hell Blade." The both of them whispered. The masked swordsman thought that this attack would be mediocre and was ready to take it in and then knock them out in the next moment.
However, he felt something was wrong. The qi of these two young ladies was obviously that of the yin attribute, that was not some sort of weakness to the masked swordsman, but, from the very core of their strength, one would be able to feel the subtle overbearingness of one particular qi, "Hellish Qi? How the hell— this is a problem."
BAM!
Thud! They fell on the ground and as they felt their bodies creaking. Ella and Rea both got the masked swordsman, their strikes hit him squarely, yet they soon lost consciousness from using too much power.
Blood flowed out from the masked swordsman's backhand he used to block with, "If I didn't block properly, they would have gotten my head… ack—" he suddenly grabbed his chest and black liquid seeped out from the corner of his mask, "The poison is not letting up. Using qi at the fourth rank was painful.
He smiled and then took a deep breath, he looked at the children adjacent to him and then raised his brows, "They have good spirits… though they're getting the wrong idea. Aiya, youth, how many years has it been since I lost it?" he thought to himself before looking back at Leo's body only to find it… missing with only the pool of blood as proof of his presence.
"Wait, what?" he was confused and thinking how injured the boy, he knew it was impossible for him to have left on his own. Quickly the masked swordsman looked around, he spread his spirit sense for hundreds of meters around him, and then, he finally found a running presence.

The presence was weak as though it didn't even exist, if the masked swordsman didn't have his spirit sense, he doubted he'd be able to sense him at all.
"Whoever that brat is, he must be with this group. Tch, my qi is not meant to heal anyone, if I don't do anything the quick patchwork would come to wear off… I need to hurry." The masked swordsman did not circulate his qi for the pain was already beyond its limits.
He was running after Leo and when he caught sight of a frail young girl running with all that she had with Leo on her back. The masked swordsman wanted to call out to her and stop her, but then, he instead stopped dead on his tracks.
Perched on top of the tree, he could feel a thin, yet sharp killing intent. The masked swordsman had long been on top of this Universe, he had slain the foolish who claimed to be on par with the Gods and battled with the Abyssal Demons for several millennia. He had honed his skills, seeking the highest path of swordsmanship, and after so long he claimed that throne.
Yet at this moment, he stopped on his tracks for he saw someone whose aura made his instincts scream to back off. His cultivation was weak, but his presence was that of an actual sword, it was a man dressed in white robes wearing a red cheap wooden demonic mask.
The masked swordsman saw the young lady meet with this person and seeing the two of them the man in white quickly had the young lady bring the boy to the ground.
The man in white poked the boy's body seven times, the boy coughed up the clothing blood impurities in his body, and then, the man in white glowed in a radiant white light.
The masked swordsman this and his eyes widened. He remembered what the boy told him about the "Wang Ling" he killed and how he referred to that thing as, "Master."
The masked swordsman's expression quickly changed underneath his masked. The masked swordsman grew wary of the children, "Considering how the others acted, they must have also been the disciples of this person… tch, have they improved to this extent?"
He questioned as the light disappeared from the man in white dissipated. The masked swordsman was hundreds of meters away, but he clearly saw that the wound he inflicted on the boy's body had already stopped.
The masked swordsman heaved a sigh of relief. He then watched the man in white order the young lady to bring the boy with her back to the Sect, he could hear it all, how the young lady and her fellow disciple saw a masked swordsman stab the boy named Leo. She said this by writing on a white paper she carried with her.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it. Return and tell the Sect that we're on high alert, inform Alidia of this place… I'll save your Martial Brothers and Sisters, don't worry." The man in white said with pure and utter confidence.
The young lady nodded, assured that the man in white would be able to do what he had just said.
The man in white finally sighed in relief, he quietly drew the sword that rested on his waist and simply sighed.
Under his mask, he smiled, and then he gathered his qi and sword intent, "Twilight Sword: Infernal Wrath."
He swung his sword to his right, a fluid yet powerful motion erupted!
SLASH!
CLANG!
Wang Ling successfully blocked the sword from coming for him. He looked to the side and saw a masked swordsman holding his own against him and the forest behind him collapsing.
Wang Ling silently looked at the masked swordsman and asked him, "Will you hold this thing for the time being? I need to check up on my students."
"…what?" the masked swordsman was confused, seeing how calm this man in white robes was.
Wang Ling was seriously calm against all odds and then he spoke once more, "I first need to confirm the lives of my students before we can talk."

Memoirs of an old traveler:First Rebirth
If life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Life sometimes gives you handouts and sometimes not, how would you take control of your life or would you let yourself be adrift on the sea. This is my story of rebirth, the start of a journey between the worlds. Will you take heart from the lessons I have learned or will you take without giving and continue the cycle? ___________________________________ A story with my take on reincarnation, expect somewhat of a more serious writing style but still a bit casual. I like to story build, to craft a universe, so don't expect quick action. Can be a bit of a heavy info read at times so if you don't like that best steer away. Chapters are expected to be at least 1 a week perhaps 2 a week depending on response and how much of an inspiration I get. Credits to multiple authors(too many to count/remember) of both web/light novels and the authors here on RRL for inspiration.
