Celestial Peak Chapter 414

"Hmmm? What's that qi?" Wang Ling asked as he stepped onto Alin's. Stretching his back, Wang Ling cracked his joints and grew curious, "I wonder, what that is? Alin, I'm stepping out, make sure to return to your room after you recuperate."
Wang Ling stated and Alin raised his hands and then cupped them. Wang Ling leisurely walked out of the guarded gates, the disciples watching it bowed, "Sect Master!"
"At ease, I am simply going out for a walk." He said as Wang Ling began walking towards the dense Hellish and Holy Q, "A familiar presence is also there… wait, I should hide my face, it would only be a matter of time before [Wang Ling] grows in his infamy."
===
Leo knew that Wang Ling was the strongest person in this Region. Unless an entire Sect's worth of enemy came down upon him, then none would be able to kill him. However, as subtle as it was, Leo could feel the qi converging into one place.
He looked over at the East, he could not clearly feel it but the distinct presence of his Master's Qi remained present. It was the only thing he could sense and that made Leo all the more worried about his Master.
In the world of Cultivation, there was only one reason why one would not be able to feel another's qi would be because of the great difference it holds with one's own strength. The more one becomes stronger, the more they grow attuned with the Universe's own flow, and the more this happens the purer their existence would become.
Their qi would become pure that it would seem as though it's a natural phenomenon, a weaker cultivator would not be able to discern the cultivation of an expert because of this very reason.

Leo was only at the pinnacle of Qi Reinforcement Realm Cultivator, the bottom of the barrel, but he didn't even hesitate to run after Wang Ling who could be in danger. His legs carried him with haste, not once did he hesitated, and jumping from roof to roof there were few who noticed him but even them disregarded him.
Leo's haste did not slow, he accelerated by the second, using the movement technique taught to him by his master. In time he reached the nearby forest, he was already feeling tired, yet, it did not really matter to him he sped his way towards the direction of the qi, and then when he stopped, Leo jumped down a tree.
In front of Leo was two things, a cloaked and masked person standing before the bloodied corpse of Wang Ling. The masked person looked intently at Wang Ling's corpse, before noticing Leo's presence, he turned around and acknowledge his presence, with a shocked tone behind his voice, "A Child? Hey, I don't know why you are here, but you better leave before something bad happens."
Wang Ling no longer had an arm, his eyes was devoid of life and a sword had pierced his chest. Leo… was silent. He disregarded the masked person's words; he approached Wang Ling and then closed his still open eyes — he was silent throughout the process.
"Child, this is not a place for you to wander around, it's not safe here so—"
Clang! The sound of steel echoed as Leo swung his knife against the masked assailant, his eyes was already without emotions. It was cold, it was terrifyingly so, the masked persons saw this and asked, "What are you doing, Child?"
"You killed my Master — I will kill you." Leo's voice echoed and shortly after his qi raged.

The masked man parried Leo's knife, he observed the young child who circled around him. Leo kicked dust on the masked bastard's face and when he staggered an opening showed. Leo swung his knife its trajectory was the same as ever, the neck.
Leo did not hesitate to kill, but when it was just about to reach the neck, a red sword stopped its advance. Leo creased his brows but he did not stop, he kicked the bastard's neck, but, "AAAAHHHHH!" he screamed as his leg broke with a single tap.
Falling on the ground Leo still did not stop, he was down with a single leg, it was painful that it made him cry, but his emotions numbed it enough for him to move. He bit his lower lip, held the knife in an icepick grip, and then glared at his Master's murderer dead straight in the eyes, "I'll kill you." He said as blood flowed down from the corner of his mouth.
The Masked "Child, you say that this thing is your master? What do you mean by that?" he asked as though there was nothing wrong.
Just like before, Leo could not listen to the masked bastard. Leo's killing intent was quickly soaring and as it reached its highest peak, he clawed the ground and then kicked the ground, sending himself flying forward!
He draws the knife backward and summoned every qi he possibly could to strengthen his arm!
Leo's cultivation method was derived from Wang Ling's previous cultivation method, that allowed him to conform to almost all form of energy and technique.
This method was not envied by many as it was seen as a low-class dance by many, but the Wang Ling of the past used said technique to rise to the top and for more than 70,000 years he held the Apex of the Cultivation World with said method.
The reason why Wang Ling's methods could be used to any cultivation method was due to this reason, and due to him not having any attunement to an element, he pursued the dao of slaughter and death that he's most specialized in. Said method's name was — [Clear Water Method]
That same technique was given to his direct disciples after creating alterations to meet their demands, and Leo who had no talent in anything used this method to strengthen himself. Using his cultivation, he began incorporating his entire being into his knife as to improve its strength when used with the Clear Water Method.
Without Leo even understanding he managed to trudge onto the previous Wang Ling's path where he tainted the Clear Water with his own color and if Wang Ling's was the color of blood, Leo's was the Murky Darkness of his talentless self.
The color that cries out with the desire to devour its fate, that was him, that was Leo, the strength of his undying persistence, "PHOENIX SLAUGHTER!"
Slash!
The masked assailant saw this and his eyes finally dilated. He creased his brows and sighed, saying, "You are commendable, but screaming doesn't increase your chances. Calm yourself for the time being."
STAB!
At the next moment, Leo was stabbed by a red sword on the stomach. No one was there to save him and the next moment, he fell on the ground, his eyes beginning to lose sight of the world, as he bled out.

The Morgulon
Greg never really wanted to become a werewolf hunter. He just wanted to prove to his father that he could do the job his family was famous for, maybe earn some money while he’s at it. He certainly never wanted to become a werewolf, or run away from home, or fight the inquisition. Unfortunately, as his brothers would say, fate has a shitty sense of humour. Updates on Mondays. "I feel like this story perfectly represents how you can't judge a book by its cover (or, in this case, concept). Edgy badboy werewolf teen romance? Yeet that concept out the window and get ready for an action-packed fantasy with an incredibly built world and logical, realistic characters." "This is a great story, probably better than any werewolf novel I've read. It's certainly not a typical werewolf story (but don't let that stop you from reading it, the werewolves are still amazing.)" "A werewolf story where people aren't constantly meeting gruesome ends that still maintains a gritty atmosphere. Realistic worldbuilding and character design make this a must read!" - RR reviews The first chapter is also on DeviantArt, more may follow.
