Celestial Peak Chapter 411

Crimson Blood Sect — Newly build Alchemy Room — North of the Sect.
"The Sword God has fallen; the Southeast of the Universe was overtaken by Abyssal Demons. With the Red Dawn World seized the nearby planets would fall and if the calculations of many scholars were correct, then three of the remaining 97 worlds would be overrun by Abyssal Demons in five years' time… that's calculating one of the Great Families make their move, not if one of the Five Gods take charge.
"The Sword God is either dead or missing, the Spear God is in seclusion, the Bow God is nowhere to be found, the Refining God cannot leave her post, and the Fist God is recuperating after his confrontation with Three Emperor-Grade Demons." Alchemist Jiru who was busily mixing ingredients in front of Wang Ling said.
Wang Ling didn't really ask anything but Alchemist Jiru reported the matter nonetheless. Wang Ling, however, couldn't care, "I can be bothered with that at the moment, this World is at the very Edges of the Universe, so even all the worlds begin falling, we still have time to evacuate to the Origin World."
"It might be that easy, Grandmaster, only Natives of the Origin World can see the Invisible path, after all."
"It's still invisible?"
"What was that, Grandmaster?"
"I said don't let your attention stray, that's poison medicine you are making."
"Wait, I thought you said it's a simple vitality-boosting Recipe?"
"I lied. The compounds of those ingredients create a powerful poison so make sure to keep your wits with you." Alchemist Jiru didn't answer Wang Ling and that gave Wang Ling some peace of mind.
Jiru arrived a week ago seeking his tutelage from Wang Ling. No one really stopped him for the reason he's Wang Ling's Half-Disciple and that Jiru was now a Two Star Alchemist. A revered position by this world's standards.
If a One-Star Alchemist Demands respect, then a Two-Star Alchemist demands anyone from this world to bow. Yet Alchemist Jiru still bows before the Grandmaster Wang Wudi, and that makes many people, inside or outside the Sect was now confident of his skills.
If a Two-Star Alchemist was to bow before Wang Wudi, then he's not a man to be trifled with, [By now the news of Jiru's arrival at my behest should have spread all over the Region by now, soon, I'll be reaping them off with their power.] but the best part of this all was that the Alchemist Tower would not do anything because Wang Wudi's exploits prove to be righteous.

No Tower might accept him because of his violent takeover of the Star Seeking Sect, nevertheless, he's already someone to be respected.
Fire appeared from Jiru's palms; his eyes became serious as he began refining the pill inside his cauldron. Wang Ling watched Jiru's attempts refining the pill, and when he finished, he finally managed to heave a sigh of relief.
He took out the red pill that had the marks of blazing flames on its surface. He presented it to Wang Ling with cupped hands, saying, "I have completed it, Grandmaster… but, might I ask what this pill's name is? Its ingredients is a mere slight variant of the Dragon Booster Pill, a Two-2 Star Pill, I did no think a method to concoct poison using such ingredients existed."
Wang Ling raised his brows and then, popped the pill in his mouth.
"GRANDMASTER What are you doing!?" Jiru panicked.
Wang Ling just smiled, munching on the pill as though it was candy, "This is just an ordinary Dragon Booster Pill, I let you add the Fire Dragon Saliva leaves so that it can increase the effectivity and you did exceptionally well. Though you did mess up in measuring the amount of Fire Flower Powder because of your stories."
Wang Ling looked at Jiru whose face told the story of a man that had been betrayed, finding this amusing he asked this disciple of his, "Why do you think did I lie to you?"
"To moc… tease me, Grandmaster?" Jiru wanted to say Wang Ling was mocking him by joking by lying to him while he's being taught, but hearing this only made Wang Ling smile at the still innocent youth before him.
"You seem to have disliked what I have done, don't you, Jiru? Come on, tell me, why is it that you dislike? You must have some hidden hate for me, is it my natural gaze of superiority? My willfulness? My way of looking at you?"
"I… wouldn't dare, Grandmaster. I am the one learning from the Grandmaster, I cannot hold you to anything —" Jiru tried to deny Wang Ling's words, but a simple finger tapped the Alchemy Room's floor. Jiru saw Wang Ling's eyes that's not seeking any beautiful words, Wang Ling sought after the truth, "I, feel like the Grandmaster is simply toying with me. I fear that I might end up deviating from the path that I was to walk."

"Then what is your wish?"
"To become an Elder of the Alchemist Tower. I know the Grandmaster can help me create this path for me, yet I feel like you are simply playing as you teach me. I know not of the Grandmaster's skills, but I wish to believe that you are who you say you are…"
Wang Ling could see the doubt in Jiru's eyes, and standing up, he walked past him. Jiru, bit his lower lip, thinking he was being abandoned by his impertinence, but, from behind him, he heard Wang Ling's voice.
"Summon your fire."
Jiru turned around and saw Wang Ling handling the ingredients. Jiru did not know what Wang Ling was going to do, but instead of asking he just did what he was asked.
Wang Ling saw this and waved his hand and stole Jiru's fire, "I can't show you my flames because it might cause us untold problems, but, with your fire, it will be enough."
On the back of Wang Ling's head, three haloes appeared, and with its appearance, the tiny blaze that was Jiru's crimson flame changed and turned a feverish white.
The giant blaze of flame enveloped the cauldron as though he was smothering it, and Wang Ling just threw every ingredient needed in the cauldron without so much as measuring it.
To others, this may seem like Wang Ling's being reckless, but Jiru could see the absolute control he had over the flames and the number of ingredients. But what's even more impressive was his concentration.
A large amount of qi was being spent, yet he's not even flinching. Wang Ling's attention was taken by the cauldron and everything else. It was as though his soul was taken away from his body.
[The flow of his flame, the intensity, the change in temperature, the moment when to put in the ingredient, all of it… are perfectly maintained.]
Minutes passed and Wang Ling stopped, he moved his hand and extracted a bright golden red pill from the cauldron after throwing everything aside.
Wang Ling threw the pill to Jiru whose hands began to tremble, "This is a Two Star Pill? This purity, this can even contend to a Three Star Phoenix Booster Pill."
"With that, I prove to you, my legitimacy. And to answer your earlier question I am not mocking you by saying that what you were concocting was poison because even a Booster Pill that enhances the vigor of the body is poison if concocted incorrectly. You spend too much time trying to say so many things that your mind becomes clouded. A mind that is clouded cannot concoct anything worthwhile; an Alchemist concocts medicine, and if we are off by even a millimeter in our measurements, and if we are off by a single degree in the temperature then impurity would arise. An Alchemist must concoct pills as though they are poison because the moment a single error occurs, it truly will become a lethal weapon to the one who will intake it."
Wang Ling's words finally stopped, he returned to his seat and looked at Jiru.
Jiru saw his eyes and just prostrated before Wang Ling, "I apologize for doubting the Grandmaster, I ask for punishment to atone for my sins."
Wang Ling just rested his head on his knuckle, saying, "I will not punish you, but if you must, then unless you obtain a clear mind and clear your heart, and then, concoct me a pill that rivals the one I created."
"I understand… thank you, Grandmaster." Jiru now understood why Wang Ling asked him to speak of his doubts… the Grandmaster wanted him to cleanse his thoughts.
While this was true, Wang Ling only really wanted to further strengthen Jiru's resolve. But seeing his revering eyes, he didn't really care.
While someone was being ensnared by Wang Ling's "kindness" up on the Northern Regions of the World, an opening was created as a being holding a white sword came crashing down in the middle of an Icicle Hell.
