Celestial Peak Chapter 405

"You, the Great Ancestor? That's impossible."
"I also didn't believe stupidity can be the death of anyone other than young masters, yet here you are bleeding out and still screaming." Wang Ling moved his fingers and though it was not a perfect fit, he's just glad that it got reattached.
"Wait… did you just call me stupid?"
"You just gave me another proof why I should call you that." Wang Ling raised his brows and then began destroying the earth spikes that pierced Alidia's body. He circulated what little Holy Qi he got from activating his bloodline and then approached Alidia with the intent of injecting it into her body.
"Ah, wait—" Alidia panicked, she already experienced Wang Ling's qi when he attacked her, she didn't want to suffer again. She wished to get away, but her strength already left her, and stumbled on the ground.
Wang Ling crouched down and held her head like she was some dog and just said, "Why are you so anxious? If you know who the Great Ancestor is, surely you must know about the special properties of my qi, isn't that right?"
The refreshing feeling entered Alidia's body, her wounds did not instantaneously heal up, but the blooding stopped at the very least, "Thi-this is impossible, even a potent Rank 3 Healing Pill can't possibly take effect this quickly."
"And yet you just witnessed the impossible, again, nothing is impossible in this Universe – even my reincarnation. So, with this, do you have an inkling of the belief that I am the one you call the Great Ancestor?"
"Shut up, do you really think I'll believe you just because of this qi and that theatrics you just pulled?
Oh… so you want more proof?" Wang Ling stared deep into her eyes with nothing but a casual and friendly smile while drowning her in a sea of blood.

[He's going to kill me.] was what went into her mind all of a sudden, "AH!" Alidia jumped back holding onto her neck as though she had just been strangled.
"Oh, you were acting so confidently that I thought for sure you'd be able to look me straight in the eyes. Guess only the fox can see me eye to eye even after all this time." Wang Ling smiled, "Well, that's enough that. Do you know why I just showed you that despite me trying to prove my existence to you?"
"What? To… threaten me?"
[Hoooh, she's grown to become apprehensive.]
"Huh? If I am to threaten you, I would've started by cutting off an arm or two to set an example, and when you beg for your life will I begin threatening you. No, what I'm doing right now is not threatening, but a display of who I am, after all, you need to ascertain who the Great Ancestor is correct?"
Like a maelstrom, he arrives and announces his name to the world with dignity. He's a Regal being, his existence commands the world and his very existence is the proof of life, with qi belonging to the first creations. He creates everlasting rivers of blood, his rage scorch the heaven and the earth - he's the Uncrowned King who fought the evil for our sakes – the Great Ancestor: Wang Ling.
[He commands the world with his might, he's young but he already achieved the peak of swordsmanship. The aura of slaughter he carries may not be as maniacal as it was in the legend, but words passed from the ancient past isn't exactly trustworthy… given all that he showed me, I should believe him this young man before I have all that quality of being the Great Ancestor's reincarnation, but… he's still missing something.]

Alidia still didn't want to believe him, "Then, what about the second qi that belongs to Hell? Where is that? The Great Ancestor Controls Heaven and Hell atop his palms, for all that I care you may be one of the Holy Race strutting about with the face of the Great Ancestor."
"Well, you have a point." Wang Ling, however, didn't activate his Hellish Qi, "Sigh, I am tired of this charade. I would kill you if I just haven't attained enlightenment if you want to believe is on you starting from now on."
Wang Ling just gave up with Alidia's persistence. He didn't need to prove himself, he could kill this woman if he wanted, but he's trying not to become an asshole so she gets to live, "Just tell me, what you know about the — tsk, people are coming, woman, where is your place, I still need to talk to you about the matter at hand."
"I agree… ack… may I ask for your — ah!"
"Shut up and tell me the direction of your home, I'll take you there. Don't act like an embarrassed child, I know you're already past that age." Wang Ling's straightforward nature showed itself. Alidia's face flushed with both embarrassment and anger, this young man before him wasn't even showing him a glance when she on his embrace.
Wang Ling tread upon lightly on the alleyways of the town, and before long, he arrived at the doors and a humble homemade of nothing but wood.
"This is a good place."
"You humor me," Alidia said at Wang Ling's remark. Upon their entry, she noticed that a letter has been slipped into her door. She quickly snatched it and kept it hidden in her bosom.
"No, it really is. Places like this are rather lovely, it is small but provides comfort." He remembered how he and his master started out, in a small hut, and then after earning some money, they moved to a better place and after stumbling to treasures, they bought a mountain.
He then came to a sudden realization, he looked down at himself and then around him, [I think I realized why I like dressing as frugally as possible.] he found the reason laughable but understandable at the same time.
[Despite the slaughters and the revenge, I didn't really lose my origin, didn't I?] he laughed at the thought.
"I am going to change for the time being. How about you?"
"No need, I think I'll wash my clothes on a river by the mountain later."
"…why?"
"Just a whim, pay it no heed."
Alidia disregarded Wang Ling and then went to a separate room where she began reading the letter. As she read through it, her eyes suddenly widened.
[Miss Alidia, I know that you no longer to wish to hear anything from us, but this letter is to warn you that, we have received from different worlds that different Wang Lings have been reported to be killing the people indiscriminately.]

The Court of Souls?
What do we talk about tonight?~“How about a story?”~Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one.~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~Was it strong then?~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it?~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~So he became a hero and changed the world?~»…”~Tell me.~“Nooo, that’s not how the story goes. This isn’t a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was… kinder than the rest.”~A kind demon? How boring.~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~So tell the story!

Old Version - The First Magician
INDEFINITE HIATUS I always seem to make these too long when I ask for peoples opinions so I’m not gonna try an exciting description anymore but instead just give you an idea of what to expect. First off, this is my 2nd attempt at a story but my foundation for this one is much better than the 1st already and I see this going much further and so far its coming together much faster and easier. So please excuse me if things are not up to publishing standards. Also I tend to confuse your, you’re and so on so sorry to people that triggers ahead of time. The First Magician follows the story of 15 year old Alex in a post apocalyptic rpg-ish world in the near future. Earth was transformed, monsters appeared and people began being able to use Ki but could not figure out how to use magic. Alex ends up becoming the first human able to use magic through a series of events and sets in motion events that will change the very future of the human race. He will be somewhat OP simply because he is the only human (at least to start, who knows about later?) who is able to use mana. Many classic RPG elements have been removed. I didn’t want the story to be like all of the other lit rpg stories on RRL but it also makes the writing easier for me hence the watering down of rpg elements. UPDATES: I am doing this to relieve stress and for fun so I will release chapters when I can. So far though ive managed to keep up with 2 most days. CONTENT WARNINGS: There will be some light language but it won't be insane. I might have some gore later on but am unsure and the same for the sexual content. Sexual content isn't super likely as I doubt I can write it well but I put the tag so people cant yell about it if I add some in the future but forgot to add the tag. COVER ART: Yes it is from the anime Log Horizon. It is a good representation of what earth looks like despite it not being many years in the future. DISCORD: https://discord.gg/s6V3hGV

Era: Dawn of the New Gods
Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my collegues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. *It is a sort of reverse RPG as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilites. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beatiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters(some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items. *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character. The cover image photo is credited to Angel David *For now it's one chapter a day
