Celestial Peak Chapter 398

"Master, for how long will I need to do this?"
"Why? Are you tired already?"
"No, it is just that… you said… you would teach me techniques from now on."
"Yeah, that won't work out. Your body will not hold up even if I tone the Blood Seeking Knife to its lowest level of sword techniques. The Phoenix Slaughter was the only thing you can perform without tearing a ligament or breaking your bones because it is the only technique your body is perfectly synched with. Do not worry I am already creating a perfectly synched technique to your body, but… they are too strong for you to execute."
Wang Ling sat on an open pagoda, enjoying the calm breeze and Leo's suffering. Leo was doing old fashion training with 200-kilogram braces on each limb. Wang Ling also sealed Leo's qi so that his body would be trained more efficiently.
Leo has no talent as such these kinds of training was of utmost importance. The fundamentals would build upon a great pagoda that would tower over reality and time.
Wang Ling's current foundation was strong that's why he could reach levels with ease without suffering, "In the coming years you would be thanking me that I did this for you."
"Years!?"
"Why are you surprised? Cultivators live for a very long time, I do not know about the world beyond Mortality Severance, but if you're being trained by me expect to live at least for a thousand years. Now, do twenty laps around the garden before I add another 10 kilos."
"YES!" Leo shouted with determination.
"Grandmaster Wang, here are the refreshments you asked for." A woman in red placed a tray near Wang Ling.
"The Family Head of the Lopus Family has arrived, Master, shall I lead them to you?" the one in blue reported calmly.

"Thank you, Ella. Rea." Wang Ling said and as the two servants, "You mentioned about the Lopus Family Head? Lead them inside, Rea."
The lady wearing blue bowed and followed the orders given to her, Wang Ling was left there with Ella who he asked, "How is your body? Is it still aching?"
"No, thanks to the Grandmaster we are no longer under so much pain."
"So, the treatment worked, good for you. Just continue the method I taught you guys for three months and your lives should stabilize. After a year you can go wild with each other."
Ella blushed but Wang Ling just smiled.
"Grandmaster, you seem to be in a good mood."
Dragil walked with light steps, the smile he held had not wavered for the past few weeks since their last meeting. Wang Ling did not mind seeing him so happy.
"So, what brings you here to my humble abode?" Dragil asked before taking a sip of the tea.
Dragil failed to contain himself, he quickly placed a book on the table before Wang Ling.
"This is?"
"The list of names that accepted our rule. Almost seventy percent of those who threatened us came crawling to our side after making the announcement."
Picking it up, Wang Ling went through the list. It was detailed containing the names and their affiliation. Most of them were from those who have connections to the market like blacksmiths and alchemists, "So the Seven Sword Coalition's reach is this wide? But still, it has been weeks since we issued our disregard for their power, I thought they'd come crawling here by now."
A mysterious smile appeared, his brows rising and his eyes showing amusement. Dragil had not seen this side of Wang Ling, but he knew that it was not something that meant bad news.

"I do not know why that is that case as well, but peace is always good, right, Grandmaster?"
"I agree, but, sometimes a little action from the enemy can also bring peace of mind."
Wang Ling sat there, his mind going in circles as to whether he should destroy the Seven Sword Coalition as soon as possible, [I want to do that, but… the Towers might interfere… hmm, what if I take over the underworld first? Maybe I should do that, I have too much time now that I am cultivating during the night.]
His current cultivation method needed Wang Ling to cultivate while the moon hangs over his head. During the day he's free to do whatever he needs to do. The only night he didn't spend on cultivating was when he cured the two servants.
"Does this City have a Slave Trade?"
"No, I don't think there is."
Smiling at Dragil, Wang Ling raised his brows, "Are you really sure about that? How about the Black Market? Have you checked?"
"…I, am not sure. But I must ask what the Grandmaster would do if there was?"
"Nothing, I'm just going to visit them."
Drail found it hard to believe Wang Ling considering how he seems to trust the edge of the sword in convincing others. Wang Ling may seem like he's young and immature, but his ways surely weren't.
[He even uses the situation to his best when the sword is turned against him.] Dragil sighed as he looked over at Leo struggling to move forward and remembered something so that he'd be able to shift the topic of discussion, "Is Leo free this night?"
"Is your wife asking him for dinner again?"
"Yes. I can't speak for her but I think Dalia may be projecting her desire to care for Sera to Leo."
"And that is okay with you?"
"It is… I know the death of my son took a toll on her and if this gives her peace of mind then I would not mind at all. A part of me will never be able to cleanse the impurity of hate, but I want to move on now that those who had their hand in his death are over."
Dragil looking over at Leo with calm eyes.
Wang Ling saw this and nodded, "The matter with the Black Market has not left my mind just so you know, I still need to find some Slave Traders."
"....I will look up this matter."
===
The Seven Sword Coalition was known to a group of people who uses violence to get their way. Their base of operation was at the peak of Meteor Mountain, surrounded by illusion.
Around these regions, they were known as the invincible and about a week ago they decided to attack the Lopus Family to set an example.
They made their move, but… none of them made it down the mountain.
Under the blazing sun, a person wearing a red mask walked out of the mountain. He was silent and without any sound and on his hand was a pile of paper he retrieved from the Seven Sword Coalition. It was slightly dyed with blood but it remained readable.
[With this, I completed my mission in this world. Should I return to the Tower, now?] He thought to himself and then he noticed a peculiar report, [Hooh, a Grandmaster of the Sword who emptied an entire Sect? That's interesting, maybe I should test my blade with him?]

The Loyal Ones [Dark Biopunk Fantasy]
TLDR; A slave monster survives horror, war and servitude, while trying to live with himself. Thralls are a race of monstrous slave soldiers, in a universe where biological magic takes the place of technology. Centuries ago, their ancestors were desperate humans, who volunteered to be transformed for the Poison War. Today their unfortunate descendants are still soldiers and laborers. In contract law they are 'corporate wards'; slaves owned largely by arms dealers. Dally Harper starts this story as a champion cage fighter. He is one of the 'lucky' ones. It's all downhill from there. Content Warning: Explicit violence and gore, slavery, implied sexual assault. None of these are framed as positive or glorified, however they do have a strong impact on the plot and main characters.
