Celestial Peak Chapter 376

Other than depression, many other things could cripple you especially when you walk the path of a cultivator.
Wang Ling just did one of the many ways, by destroying his meridians he inadvertently set his future to its oblivion. Blood flowed out of his orifices, pain like no other assailed his senses and his body wanted to coil so he could cope with this sensation.
Add to the fact that the holy qi at this moment was wreaking havoc in his body, the pain was amplified multiple times over.
However, Wang Ling did not move. He kept his back straight, eyes closed, and kept on going with his cultivation because inside of his body at this moment was the incomplete formation of a gold-azure meridian system — the Overlord Lines was currently acting as the guide of his qi.
It was painful, yes, but Wang Ling bore the pain with greeted teeth.
This way of doing things was high, the possibility of death was to the roof but in time, Wang Ling did the impossible, he managed to calm his body.
Though blood dyed his clothes and his body felt like it would collapse at any moment, Wang Ling held on to it.
The qi was calming down, the path was being established, the only thing he needed now was a way to complete the establishment of his new meridian system.
After who knows how long later, Wang Ling's body glowed with a golden light. His black hair shifted color and became entire golden in color, the power he held purer and calm than a lake.
He was in peace, harmonized with himself, and with this, 'The second destruction arrives.'
Without a moment's notice, another qi invaded his body, the vile, and destructive power of the True Devil Qi destroyed the unity of his body.

The golden glow was tainted, his aura shifted, and after some time, blood escaped from his pores. The Overlord Lines, the power that which granted by the Holy Race's purest form of power fought with the bruteness that was the True Devil Qi!
'The Overlord Veins… it is unstable. The Holy Qi is possible to pass through, but the True Devil Qi is simply impossible.'
A miscalculation has appeared.
Before Wang Ling destroyed his meridian system, he ensured to wrap it with the Overlord Lines so when he destroyed the system, the Overlord Line would be able to take over without a problem.
All was going well actually, the holy qi flowed without a problem, it was moving smoothly, but the moment he added the True Devil Qi, everything went downhill.
Wang Ling's current body could not take the pressure, his internal organs were crying and the Overlord Lines showed signs of collapsing.
Wang Ling stopped.
With a pool of blood directly under him, Wang Ling was left without anyway continue, 'My body will no longer hold.' He proceeded to circulate Holy Qi and activated his Holy Race bloodline in full blast.
His mind was filled, 'The True Devil Qi and the Holy Qi can't harmonize without the Supreme Spirit Qi as expected. I have to make do for the time being, I will not be able to use the True Devil Qi, but I will at least be able to properly cultivate.
'The Holy Qi still holds the property of a supreme existence, my cultivation will improve faster and once the Overlord Lines settle, I will be able to try again.' Wang Ling's persistence was one of his few redeeming qualities aside from his strength.
The path to cultivation had always been wrought with hardships, this was no different than the usual.

The Overhaul Phoenix Rebirth constitution also appeared to help in his recovery. Under the light of the Holy Qi and his halo, Wang Ling began cultivating while still recovering.
With the purity of the Holy Qi, Wang Ling managed to reach the very peak of Qi Reinforcement Realm in just two days. His mortal body hungered for food, yet Wang Ling kept his concentration, on settling the Overlord Lines, or what he now called [Overlord Meridians].
'It is still unstable, but I can make do… I can cultivate now, though the drawback is that I can only use half of my strength. My swordsmanship will still need to be rein in because of my frail vessel, but I can make do.
If this was the True Devil Qi he'd be done in a few hours, but because the Holy Qi specializes in different strengths, Wang Ling was left to wait.
Slowly accepting the Holy qi of the world, Wang Ling felt refreshed. After a long time, he finally managed to cultivate without the risk of imploding.
He temporarily cut off his connection with the True Devil bloodline to stymie the improvement of the True Devil Qi. With this Wang Ling was truly left with nothing but the power of Heaven.
Elemental Control was his strength, but without any connection with fire or anything else, Wang Ling was left smooth flow of power.
Another day passed, Wang Ling suddenly felt a disturbance in the air, the ground shook and Wang Ling opened his eyes.
Something was wrong and as soon as he did so, Wang Ling looked to the side, exited the doors, and exited the house.
"Leo is something the matt—"
BAM!
Spurt!
A tusk pierced Wang Ling's side as a boar running wild came running to him at a moment's notice.
The boar crashed through their home, and crashed him into a tree!
"ACK!" Wang Ling had no sword and with his sword qi clad middle finger, he jammed it in the beast's face and had it back off!
Wang Ling felt tremendous pain, and unlike before, it was unbearable and he couldn't help but release a yell, "AAAAAAAH~"
His flesh felt like it was rotting, the aura of death lingered thickly in the air, with creased brows, Wang Ling said holding the hole on his stomach.
"Tsk, I need to find Leo."
Wang Ling asked himself while staring at what used to be a red boar that now had a body engulfed in darkness and a face for its skull.
A beast without flesh, a beast without life, Wang Ling now faced a Red Boar that had become an Abyssal Demon.
