"What happened to Big Sis, Xue?"
"She overused her qi, but she'll be fine, I already healed her with my qi. Why, don't you help me take care of her while!? I still have something to talk with Mother and Father."
Wang Yue missed Wang Ling, but she had also craved the companionship of Bai Xue who stayed with her when Wang Ling was still in deep seclusion to reach Immortality.
Handing over Bai Xue to Wang Yue, Wang Ling turned to his parents with a wry smile. Xiao Fei'er's strength is not to laugh as she was already at the Peak of Immortal Realm.
Wang Yue brought Bai Xue away with the help of Qiqi to a room that specializes in recuperation. Wang Ling stared at her back and watched them leave. Xiao Yu was handed to Butler Sun, currently, Xiao Jianfa is not in the realm, but he will soon arrive after they get in touch with him.
Xiao Fei'er wanted to drag Wang Ling away, trying to make him go inside and have a meal.
"Let us go, I have a lot of questions that need an answer. Have you eaten already? Oh yeah, we are all cultivators, but hey, it doesn't hurt to eat. Come on, let us eat!" Xiao Fei'er was ecstatic to have Wang Ling with them once again.
At first, Wang Ling merely wished to do a little detour and see how his family was doing. But, seeing the smile of his mother the words of wanting to leave was stuck to his throat. He was unable to say anything, but, he stuck to his grounds and showed a bitter smile towards his mother.
Xiao Fei'er turned back observing Wang Ling's expression, she wanted to see why his steps stopped and only saw Wang Ling's expression and already she knew that he needed somewhere to be.

"You need to leave so fast?"
"It is only for a couple of hours, I shall return after I confirm something in the Red Lands. I will return without delay after I do what I want to do."
Xiao Fei'er wished to go against it, but Wang Shu Qing stopped her from saying anything. He knew that everything that Wang Ling does is not something they will be able to understand. He too has connections to the Origin World, although he has no access to the old records of the Origin World, Wang Shu Qing was still aware that Wang Ling's presence is something vital.
So, he nodded his head, "Go, do what you must. But remember son, be careful and take care of yourself."
"I will." With those words, he turned his back and left through the rift of space. The Red Lands is near, it will take him a couple of minutes to go there, he will return around an hour even if he meets a complication.
Xiao Fei'er could no longer feel the presence of Wang Ling in a matter of seconds. She showed a wry smile that turned to a bitter smile and finally, a sad but relieved expression befell her visage.
"The dry field had blossomed into a full-blown flower field, surely, what a good he had become."
A flower field, that is how she now sees her oldest son. Back then, Wang Ling was without a soul that is comparable to that of a field that is devoid of life and vegetation. When he regained his consciousness he became a raging storm that flooded his previous self.
The dry field was then soaked up in a rain of blood and everything in even he himself could not come into terms into himself. Call it a mother's instincts but Xiao Fei'er had always seen Wang Ling's subtle struggles that he did not want others to see.

Hiding behind the strength he cultivated that others saw as a meteoric rise. A glorious rise that none could have perceived, a rise that was as bright as the sun, and that are what Wang Ling's rise had become in the eyes of the populace.
However, they failed the see the chaotic emotions of Wang Ling as if he was frantically wishing to become stronger in order to not lose something. But, after the incident with the Xue Clan Wang Ling's expression had become brighter than before and the dried outfield had become a flower field without Xiao Fei'er ever noticing that he had changed.
But, the flower field is still not yet fully blossomed, he had yet to become truly at peace, he is still chasing something, but compared to before he is no longer following a path full of thorns but a path that he had created himself. But, Xiao Fei'er does not know what it is that he is chasing so she can only hope that it is something that will not cause him grief or cause his end.
Wang Ling flew to the Red Lands and passed through a devastated Invincible City. What used to be called the last bastion of the Celestial Spirit Realm was now in rabbles and it was no longer the glorious city that used to be.
According to Xiao Yu this place was the first place to be devastated by the Demons and everyone inside was killed. From Invincible City, the Rifts opened one after the other and spread throughout the realm.
The three continents were destroyed, the Domains survived, but the Desolate Domain that does not have any supreme power ruling over it was destroyed swiftly and the Tranquil Empire and the Qin Clan chose to retreat to their respective domains rather than defend that place.
The Tranquil Empire evacuated the populace while the Qin Clan abandoned them. Now, the previous populace of the Desolate Domain resides in the Frost Domain, the territory of the Yan Clan and Wang Family.
Walking past the devastation, Wang Ling entered the Red Lands. There would be occasional roars of Demons, but even if one appeared Wang Ling killed it with ease.
After flying for a few seconds he finally reached the center of the Red Lands

Cornucopia of Hope
The graduating class of Hope's Peak Academy has been kidnapped sometime after their graduation ceremony. They wake up in a beautiful, plush mansion with no idea where they could be other than the name Our Mansion of Plenty. The physical barriers of steel plates and locked doors might not be enough to cage them, if it weren't for the malicious mechanical fairy calling itself The Fey and ruling their new lives with an iron--albeit tiny--fist. While being kidnapped is bad enough, the fact that this fairy brat is telling them to kill each other is definitely worse. Apparently, murdering one of your fellow victims is the only way to get out of this luxurious mansion. But nobody would do that...right? Cornucopia of Hope is a non-canon killing game completely alienated from the the canon universe of the Danganronpa games. The things borrowed from the games are as followed: Hope's Peak Academy, and the structure of 16ish hyper-skilled teenagers trapped in an enclosed space and being subjected to a motive, a murder, an investigation, a trial, and an execution of the presumed killer. There are no spoilers, tie ins, or previous knowledge required of the series to read this story!

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
