Celestial Peak Chapter 332

"What are you doing?"
"Huh?"
Seeing the odd actions of Wang Ling, the Gray Figure was baffled. He flinched at a time where there was no enemy, he blocked when there was no one, his killing intent exploded without any reason, and his Hellish Qi and Chaos Qi spread throughout for no reason, and he acted so weird that it was as if his body had been taken over by another entity.
Hearing the question of the Gray Figure Wang Ling stared at his surroundings. He was indeed inside the palms of the black scaled Dragon but it would seem that only he can perceive the Black Dragon and the Gray Figure was oblivious as to what is happening at the moment.
"It is nothing, I was just — taken aback by the primordial presence of the temple. It is as if the soul of the Black Dragon still remains in this place."
The Gray Figure laughed at his stupidity, "Haha if that is true then that would be quite the fortune. If we are to meet the soul of the Black Dragon then we either devour it or die, well I am not sensing its presence so let us go inside."
He raised his head and stared at the Black Dragon's domineering presence. He swallowed his saliva and began walking. He treads inside the soul of the Black Dragon as if he was underwater, it was if nothing was there, it was as if it was a part of this place.
He crossed path the Black Dragon's hands and he lifted his head to look at the Black Dragon. His eyes filled with questions and when he and the Black Dragon crossed eyes it smirked at it and burst into a peal of wild laughter.
"Hahaha, what a sight! For a person who can see beyond Life and Death." The Dragon drew closer to Wang Ling, "Your eyes, it is weird, one of a kind, it is not something that belongs to any being. Gray, the color of Chaos, Crimson, the Color of a perfected Noble. Human, Devil, Lord? What are you?"

He ignored the ramblings of the Dragon but committed them to memory, "I don't like the atmosphere of this place. It is as if I can hear something, can you hear something, Figure?"
Wang Ling turned his head around and then locked eyes with the Black Dragon. The Black Dragon smiled with its largemouth. The Black Dragon's head was at least three of Wang Ling stacked together. It was big and as it laughed, its spiritual body shook.
The Gray Figure shook its head, "It must be nothing. Like I said I can't feel anything around these parts. The lass you collect the flames said that there are two parts in this place, correct? Let us check inside, we may find the portal that leads to the trial."
"So you can't hear anything that makes me feel quite secure. You are strangely perceptive for staying inside of my body, I have been meaning to ask you, are you a soul? Or a lingering Will?" Wang Ling asked curiously.
The Gray Figure smiled and stood up, proudly announcing, "I do not know!"
[This being is quite sly, he has someone inside of him who can't see me, huh. I wonder, is he an enemy of the Creator? Or someone else entirely?] The Black Dragon listened to the conversation Wang Ling had with himself, or so it seems.
His words were picked with meticulousness as if he was he was letting the Black Dragon know his current standing. And from what the Black Dragon picked up, his interest shot up and he smiled slyly.
The Black Dragon followed Wang Ling while answering the question 'he asked', "I am no soul, I am but a will of my soul. But it is not to say that I am not real, I am real as I am dead, I am the Black Dragon that observes if what level of the trial I should take you. In this temple, I am in control even if I am away. Such is the power of my lineage."

Wang Ling smiled secretly, it seems like the Black Dragon is smart enough to pick up his queues, "So even you don't know what kind of being you are. Oh yeah, Figure, I am pretty interested in these eyes of mine. It let me see what others cannot see correct? If its level increases, will I be able to see the flow of God QI?"
Wang Ling continued his steps unimpeded. His steps were resolute and his eyes were filled with his usual indifference. He was looking around, observing the scenery, he was acting as if he was on edge trying to see if there was any traps.
The Gray Figure answered, "Heh, so now you are worried about it, if you had just improved your bloodline you would have managed to improve it to the next level. Your eyes is special, in all truthfulness, it is an innate ability only you and you alone possess. Well, it is too late now, should you wish to increase your lineage it should be some time later."
It was now the time of the Black Dragon to speak, "Special eyes? The first time I heard of it, I didn't know that the Creator created someone like yourself, it does not matter. You who can see me is something of an enigma, but I can feel Chaos in your, I do not know what you are, but, if you have Chaos — let us move on, I cannot tell you anything. Head inside the temple, the one to speak would be my soul. Inside this temple, there is a formation, step on that and it will bring you to the designated location I have decided."
Nodding his head, Wang Ling entered the temple. Inside the temple, there was a sculpture of a dragon. It was a magnificent dragon, and it resembled the image of a dragon that was staying on the roof of the temple.
In front of the Black Dragon was a platform, and a formation was laid down. It had been kept quite nicely despite it being left alone for some time now.
The growl of the Black Dragon was heard outside, it peeked from outside and stared at Wang Ling who stood on the platform. The Black Dragon observed this being who has a lot of different form of qi. It was astonished and soon enough this astonishing human vanished from sight and was sent to the trial grounds.

Asturian Warbringer - A LitRPG on Earth
Currently releasing 5 chapters a week Luke Kells liked only one thing about himself: his green eyes. He hated getting bullied, hated being poor, hated being an orphan, hated his weakness, hated the government, hated his life. If someone had given him a button to push and kill everyone but him and his granddad, he would've done it without a second thought. Then, one day, after fainting during a beating, he woke up with memories that would change his life. Magic, martial arts, how to craft special artifacts; he knew it all. Anyone would’ve taken that path to glory at once. However, he had to deal with a lot on his plate first. To even begin walking that path, Luke first had to deal with his own psychological issues. Almost two years of brutal bullying that was akin to torture and no support from the school staff of the police had left him with a broken soul. Before even realizing he could be rich or powerful, he had to bring himself out of the mental hellhole he found himself in. Oh, and his memories also told him the Sentinel Tower would change reality in six months to protect the planet from the Demonic Horde. But that wasn’t as important as not making the local bully angry, right? A story about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, and reaching absolute glory at the end of the path. This is a slow-paced, character-centered story. If you want something faster paced, filled with almost immediate and nonstopping action, check out my other novel: Modern Awakening - A cultivation, LitRPG, apocalyptic novel.
