Celestial Peak Chapter 239

On the day when Wang Ling was chosen to be a part of the Selection for the position of the Son of Heaven. It was also the day when Qin Ao was deemed unqualified to be a part of it.
Qin Ao, the strongest youth of the Heaven's Will Academy, he is smart and is a monstrous genius that stands on top of the realm's younger generation. He was primarily the next candidate for the position for the Son of Heaven, but he has a flaw.
He was a bastard who kills for his own pleasure and commits acts that even the proper people of the Devil Path do not commit. He was a bastard wearing the mask of someone good.
He could have been chosen if not for him being a bastard and his lack of a pure heart and the will to actually carry the sin and guilt that had built up in his heart. Qin Ao was aware of this because he failed the First Trial of the Academy in a mere ten seconds.
The Grand Elders who supported him and the Grand Elders who didn't have already decided that he was not fit to participate in the Selection because he had already failed the First Trial. Even those who supported him cannot go against tradition, at first, he reluctantly accepted it.
But the presence of Wang Ling made him irritated. Someone from outside the Academy became the Son of Heaven? What a joke, was what he had thought.
At this moment, where he went up the stage, Qin Ao was facing the second-ranked Phoenix. And as the proctor announced the start of the fight, he moved quickly and brought out a sword.
[Why can't I become the Son of Heaven instead of him?] He roared inside his head as he moved and grasped the flow of the battled, [I am the strongest of them all didn't Big Brother claim the position for the Son of Heaven because he was the strongest? Why can't I do the same? Do I need to prove that he is useless? Do I need to prove that those around him are utter trash?]

Qin Ao was smiling but as of this moment, his mind was wandering through different kinds of thoughts. He moved faster and faster and after seven moves, he stopped his blade just before his opponent's neck.
"Winner, Qin Ao. He will move to the Finals of the Stage A. The Stage A Finalists has been confirmed!" An announcement has been made and it was still before noon.
On Stage B there were two people competing. One of them was the third Dragon of the Rankings and the other was someone known as Xie Liu (six). Xie Liu was one of the youths he had seen back in the restaurant eyeing Wang Yue.
The fight on the B Stage lasted for another five minutes before the winner was decided.
"Winner, Xie Liu. He will move on to the Finals of Stage B. The Stage B Finalists have been confirmed!" There was another loud announcement.
On Stage C, there was still the first fight going on. The one stage was the other person with Xie Liu the other day. It was a man named Xie (Wu). And just like Xie Liu, he won but the only difference was that he managed to win with ease.
"Winner, Xie Wu!"
Xie Wu was much stronger than Xie Liu. This was the conclusion Wang Ling had come up with. The second match of Stage C was against Mao Lan of Thundergod Academy and Feng Wuhan of the Feng Clan.
"Let us have a fair match." Mao Lan bowed towards Feng Wuhan and clenched her fist tightly. Feng Wuhan reciprocated the gesture by taking out a sword from within her storage ring.
The sword she brought out was not a sword that contains the sword fragment of Wang Ling. The fight continued forward, Mao Lan released a thunderous roar accompanied by the roar of the lightning that wrapped around her body and fist.

She was serious and she wants to take down Feng Wuhan without making any mistakes. Mao Lan moved fast that she managed to left after images, but Feng Wuhan did not bother with her after images and directly went for the correct body.
Mao Lan was fast, but it was clear that Feng Wuhan was faster. Her surname was not merely just for show. The Feng (Wind) Clan was a clan who specializes in quick maneuvers that they begin training through with their eyes and then the sword before their movement techniques.
The movement techniques, their sword skills, their ocular visions were top-notched. And with Mao Lan's Tyrannical attacks and Terrifying speed matched against Feng Wuhan's graceful sword movements, it was destined that their fights would be nothing short of close.
Mao Lang moved and soared through the skies. She gathered qi to her palms and shot a palm towards Feng Wuhan, "[Palm of the Thundergod]!" She roared aloud and a giant palm escaped from her palms and it raced towards Feng Wuhan.
Feng Wuhan saw this and planted her feet on the ground and held her sword near her waist. She twisted her body and gathered her sword qi and qi of the wind towards her sword and as her sword qi began to peak, Feng Wuhan's qi shot up to the sky and a large slash flash from her sword that rendered the giant palm in two.
"[Twin Sovereign Slash]!" Feng Wuhan had used one of the few secret techniques of her clan.
It should have been over by now, but Mao Lan behind her palm technique had already finished preparing for it. The claps of thunder and lightning reverberated through the air and exploded in a brilliant show of might, what followed was nothing short of a spectacle.
"[Lightning Dragon's Descend]!" Mao Lan poured everything into this single hit.
However, Feng Wuhan reaming unperturbed and as she stood there with a calm expression. Feng Wuhan finally moved and then made her sword become a shining start that unleashed another Sovereign Slash that was far stronger than the first.
It split the body of the Dragon in two and what followed was Mao Lan losing her consciousness and her lightning dragon vanishing in thin air.
"Winner, Feng Wuhan! She will move on to Stage C Finals. The Stage C Finalists have been confirmed!"
And over at Stage D, it was Hao Yahui who won the fight and moved to the next round.
Stage A: Yan Renhuo and Qin Ao!
Stage B: Bai Xue and Xie Liu!
Stage C: Feng Wuhan and Xie Wu!
Stage D: Wang Ling and Hao Yahui!
