Celestial Peak Chapter 237

A White Spear that is a grade-2 artifact and a Black Bow that is also grade-2 artifact. Two weapons with nothing in common other than having both piercing attribute. Ze Kha, the seventh Dragon looked at Wang Ling with an utterly confused expression.
It took him a while but he finally realized what was happening and became enraged. He looked into Wang Ling with eyes as red as blood, devilish might escaped his body and then roared, "Don't you dare look down upon me! Take out you sword, do you really think you can face me with a weapon you are not unaccustomed in!?"
Shaking his head, he said, "I am not looking down upon you, this two is going to be my weapons and when I say that my sword is currently useless right now I am being serious. These two is going to let me show you what it means to face me." Wang Ling sounded serious and picked up left.
He then activated his Qi and picked up the Spear and suspended it in the air. Right now, unless he unleashes both his qi and not restrain himself, Wang Ling cannot show his whole capabilities. The bow and the spear, these two weapons is something that pull out his mastery right now.
The proctor assigned to them looked at the situation and shook his head before announcing the start of the match.
Ke Zha, upon feeling humiliated did not waste any time and kicked the ground to dash forward. He was someone who uses the halberd and as he twisted his body, his halberd glowed in a devilish light and with a swing a baleful aura swept the area.
A powerful force threatened to take Wang Ling out in a single hit. This halberd of his was destructive and tyrannical, if Wang Ling was to attempt to counter it with his fingers then it would be better to just break it himself to save the trouble.
This person was a Dragon Ranker, he was not a simple bloke who can be dealt with easily. But right at this moment, with Wang Ling's bloodline activated and his qi running to its fullest, both eyes at its max capacity he was now about to show his brother and sister how to use their respective weapons.

"Watch closely." Wang Ling whispered and quickly twisted his body and jumped to the side. He circulated his qi to the bow and pulled a non-existent bowstring. But a golden light flowing with power appeared as he made a full draw.
"Blood Seeker's Bow: Talons of the Roc!" Wang Ling let out a roar and then let go of the bowstring. The sharp rendering of the air reverberated in the ears of many. The golden arrow flew out towards Ke Zha with terrifying might.
But Ke Zha merely parried the arrow before it could reach him, "Pathetic." Ke Zha muttered and continued forth as he twists his body and created a beeline towards Wang Ling.
Wang Ling saw this but kept his calm. He kicked the ground and activated the Soaring Devil movement technique. He moved back and gained some distance and all alone while doing this, he did not break his attention towards Ke Zha.
Pointing his bow to the skies, Wang Ling let go of the bowstring that he had stretched taut. "Blood Seeker's Bow: Rain from the Ninth Heaven!" Wang Ling shouted and a rain of golden arrows fell upon Ke Zha.
A ten meter large arrow went up the skies and exploded to many pieces later on after it had reached it peak. A rain of arrows exploded out and this cause Ke Zha to be alarmed. He tried calculating the distance he needed to travel and decided to face off against the rain of arrow as he would not be able to outrun it.
"Devil's Maneuver!" Ke Zha first struck an arrow and then he connected one arrow after the other and then began eradicating the arrows heading for him found above while advancing. He had created a dome around him that kept him safe from harm.
But as he looked towards Wang Ling, his pupils dilated at the sight of him looking at him dangerously, [This is not good.] He thought and then stopped then on his tracks. He received the arrows falling on his body and only dodged the fatal ones. He braced for something big.

Wang Ling had fully drawn his bowstring and as he did, he poured a quarter of his qi to it and mumbled, "Blood Seeker's Bow: Phoenix Cry!" An ear rendering screech of a phoenix escaped his bow and flew towards Ke Zha as if it wanted to rip him to shreds.
But Ke Zha was prepared for it. He had gathered his qi and coming from the south ascending to north his halberd flew up and split the heavens, "Heavenly Conqueror!" He roared and clashed with Wang Ling's assault.
And in mere moments, his muscles bulged and became taut. And then, the next seen could not be any shocking as the arrow in half without as much as batting an eye. He grew a head taller and he resembled that of a war god. Ke Zha was already going all out.
His defense increased and so did his speed and power, he kicked the ground and reached Wang Ling in mere moment. Wang Ling had time to pull the string but chose not to and threw it before picking up the spear.
Ke Zha saw this and smiled. He had already thrown the idea of Wang Ling messing with him and was looking at him like a true opponent. Without holding anything back he brandished his halberd against him as he roared, "Mountain Cleaver!"
Wang Ling saw this and thrusted his spear forward, "Spear God's Spear: Piercing the Moon!" Wang Ling twisted his spear and met with the halberd head on.
He did not back down nor did he make any sound of distress. He was calm and his spear that carried an almost indomitable strength did not even budge in front of Ke Zha's herculean might.
Wang Ling saw this and retreated back. He gained some distance away from Ke Zha and he positioned himself correctly, he looked straight to Ke Zha and said, "Spear God's Spear: Leviathan's Roar!"
Wang Ling kicked the ground and the impact of his kick made the stage shook a little and he disappeared from Ke Zha's sight. He had activated Soaring Devil when he kicked the ground and he was so fast that when he reappeared he was already right in front of Ke Zha who had also prepared something for him.
"Heavenly Conqueror!" Wang Ling was left to meet with this devastating attack but he did not back down. The roar of a Sea Serpent was heard and it shook the heart of many.
It met with Ke Zha's halberd and with his explosive speed and monstrous strength, Wang Ling destroyed his halberd, "Disappear from my sight!" Wang Ling roared in the heat of the moment and blew Ke Zha away.
He immediately tried recovering his breath and as Wang Ling raised his head, his victory had already been decided. He looked at his siblings and both were looking at him with their mouth open.
He stepped down of the stage and went over to Ke Zha and said, "You were strong."
Ke Zha merely responded with, "Thank you." and was assisted out of the square.
Wang Ling had finished his fight and the other two also have. Every fight had just finished and the real thing was just beginning. Those who won would be given a one hour break to recuperate their expended energy and heal as much as possible.
Now, there are only sixteen representatives.
The three clearly managed to move forward. Qin Ao (Stage A), and Han Xieru (Stage A) also managed to head up the rankings, Hao Yahui also managed to head up. And Feng Wuhan was also the same.
Time was out and Wang Ling step forth and fought his opponent. He was the first match in Stage D and his next opponent was far weaker than Ke Zha so he managed to secure a win without much trouble.
He turned over to the A stage and saw Han Xieru and Yan Renhuo ready to fight.

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.

These capsules could be use for rehab and even reconstruction! Unfortunately, the new capsules cost $100,000 and not many people can afford them, either way the new game World of Destiny was a hit with over 110 million subscriptions!Meet our tragic MC Feng Jun, an injured psychopath that simply wants to get his next kill. He has no MO, he doesn't even care if what he kills is an insect let alone a person. He just has to kill every once in awhile to scratch his itch. Up til an injury that left him without a leg, he was able to make do simply killing insects as no one cared and he didn't even have to visit any doctors about it. People just thought he hated bugs! But after his injury he has been suck at his home not being able to do anything! Fortunately he is rich and spends most of his time playing MMOs since normal VRMMOs don't work well with his injury as the realism setting always keeps him with only one leg! But what will he do with a new opportunity to rebuild his leg with nanotech? Knowing he has to spend a year in the game minimum for something like this, he sets a goal to insure he doesn't go crazy (er) without having stuff to kill. This is a VRMMO story where the game is closer to zhan long than royal road with a few twists here and there. The world outside of the game is sci fi and has very little impact at least for the first year due to obvious reasons. No gore or explicit sex in this story, if cursing requires a mature tag I will add it later, this story is at best PG-13. Tragedy is for his circumstances and previous life, the game itself isn't tragic at all as it's just a game more or less.(This story will be put out alongside my main story whenever I feel like it for now, no set schedule at this time)
