Celestial Peak Chapter 226

Standing before the gate, Wang Ling was quietly waiting for the swords in his possession to calm down. The two blades had awoken and it was calling for the blade in the possession of Feng Wuhan.
Wang Ling turned to Mao Lan and asked, "Who is that Feng Wuhan? Do you mean to say she is the strongest of the Phoenixes? Does that mean she is stronger than you, Senior Lan?"
Mao Lan looked at me with what seemed to be an angered look and explained, "She is not the strongest, although she does hold the first ranking. Her swordsmanship is good, but most of that is drawn out by the [Blood Wind Sword] of her clan."
"Blood Wind Sword? Is that the inheritance sword of the Feng (Wind) Clan? The one with the fragments of Wang Wudi's sword?" He asked curiously.
Mao Lan nodded her head as she responded, "That is correct. Although she looks like a frail woman, her bloodlust and killing intent is top-notched that it managed to draw out Wang Wudi's essence out. She is hailed as the strongest bearer of the sword in the current generation."
Upon hearing such a thing, Wang Ling merely smiled. He stared at the back of Feng Wuhan and left with Mao Lan and the others shortly after. He was satisfied to know that another piece was in the city, but it seems like it would be trouble to get that sword.
While he worries over the sword, Mao Lan was thinking of many things regarding Wang Ling and Feng Wuhan. She was silently running simulations inside her head as they traveled in groups within the city.
The streets they were walking on could accommodate large beasts like a dragon if they were there. Wang Ling noticed this and found it comforting that even when there were hundreds of people wandering the streets, the road never seemed crowded.
Wang Ling was happily going around the city and along the way, a particular white fox would wander away and come back with food sauce on her mouth. Bai Xue was also enjoying the food around her without trouble.

As they went around the city, Wang Ling and the rest found their way to a grand building with seven floors. At the front of the building was the name [Immortal Jade Restaurant], Lu Tao entered the restaurant without wasting any time and beckoned the rest to follow.
As soon as they entered, the staff seemed to know them and immediately came to their side and escorted them higher up. They entered the upper floors of the restaurant and the higher they went up, the more luxurious the designs were and the more the arrogant the people seemed.
As they entered the seventh floor, there were only a few tables and most of them were already occupied. But upon entering, those who were eating or drinking liquor stopped what they were doing and turned their heads over to Wang Ling's group who had just arrived.
Wang Ling looked around and found familiar faces amongst the people there. From the three groups of people having a pleasant time Wang Ling knew of the beautiful and icy young maiden seated beside another fair but mature maiden, it was QingBiao.
Wang Ling smiled at her and QingBiao bowed her head ever so slightly to show her respect. Wang Ling was happy to see such a thing. Respect was important, especially if she was to be his future sister-in-law.
From what he knew, QingBio was the strongest student of the Sacred Beast Academy. Being the second Phoenix even without the help of her beasts was a title that merits respect from everyone.
As for the other group that had their tables joined with the Sacred Beast Academy was another familiar face. They were his family. On the side was Wang Hong, Wang Yue, and Xiao Fei'er enjoying a meal with the Sacred Beast Academy.
As for the las group, they were some people Wang Ling did not know of. They were silently eating by the side. They seemed to be ordinary men aside for the fact they were there with them at the most expensive floor and the fact they once flashed Wang Ling a kind of surprise look before returning to normal.

There were three youths, and all of them were wearing black. He ignored them, but a part of his senses was warry of them. A rare occurrence to have.
While his mind was wandering, a pair of dainty hands grabbed his hands and the beautiful and grown-up face of Wang Yue was shown. With a wide and flourishing smile and a pair of eyes that seemed to be made of obsidian, she flashed him a dazzling smile and greeted him.
"Big Brother, you have arrived. Big Brother Wang Hong really was telling the truth." Wang Yue was now sixteen and she was 1.7 meters tall which was pretty tall for a woman. Such height made Wang Yue looked mature and accentuated her beauty and mixed it with her innocence, and what was concocted a pure being that could make the Blood Seeking Celestial smile unconsciously and make him want to pat her head.
And just like that, Wang Ling broke into a soft smile on the outside but was smirking on the inside saying, [I knew she would be a flower when she grows up. Sigh, it is only a matter of time before bastards start courting her.] He thought.
He was fuming at the thought of bastards laying a hand on his sister, but he did not let such a blatant emotion for irritation show as he made sure to smile and greet Wang Yue and the rest, "I did not expect you guys to be here. Mother, and Hong'er it is good to see you."
Wang Ling approached his mother and exchanged a hug. Bai Xue had woken up from hearing the chiming voice of Bai Xue and jumped off Wang Ling's shoulders to greet everyone.
Pleasantries were exchanged and QingBiao also showed a welcoming attitude. Their group joined the group of the Sacred Beast Academy and the Wang Family.
And like always, a feast was ordered to be consumed and everyone was in their own little worlds. Bai Xue was with Wang Yue and Wang Hong was with QingBiao and the rest were interacting with one another.
Wang Ling was smiling and chatting while observing the three youths on the side. While Wang Ling seemed distracted, the three glanced at them before leaving. They left like a uniform group and as they left, no trace of their existence could be felt.
[Interesting.] Wang Ling thought before smiling and going back to chatting with everyone. Amidst the fun, Wang Ling managed to slip away and then found a position beside the window of the building where the view of the city could be viewed.
Wang Ling observed the passing people with his Devil's Pupils and as he did, he found there were different people with interesting auras. It was a unique sight. And it made him smile.
He was not that keen on the idea of participating in this Ten Year Bout. Aside from the reason of him wanting the prize, nothing truly interest him. But now, a lot of people was gathering at the Invincible City, geniuses that had sprouted at this current generation.
It had been a while, but finally, Wang Ling might just be able to run wild without hiding anything.
[Well, I do have to hide my Devil Bloodline for now though.]
And as he had such thoughts, fireworks rushed to the sky and exploded. It was then followed by the sounds of War Drums, such is the sign of the Ten Year Bout that is said to be the most important event of every ten years in the life of a youth and the entire realm itself was going to start.
