Celestial Peak Chapter 210

Marriage in the world of cultivation is mostly done for the sake of their Family. Forsaking the emotion which they held within their hearts and reaching the top by sacrificing a member of their own Clan.
The World of Cultivation is nothing short of a political power struggle, despite how straightforward it looks the balance it has is nothing but a flimsy line. The Xie Clan, Desolate Clan, Feng (Wind) Clan, and the Mu Clan are just a few examples of such a thing.
There are countless more Clans out there that practices such things, and the ones who does such acts are the startups who send their daughters to the well-establish powers of the world.
They seek protection from stronger families and seek to find a connection that may lead them to a greater future. Such an act is not even vile as it was common practice, it is only vile to those who see it as so.
The act of having many wives is supposed to be seen as an act of disrespecting and not showing one's partner the love and respect she deserves. But others see it as something to show off their masculinity or their act of reciprocating their love towards other beings that shows them such a high level of affection.
An act is only vile if you decide it to be, and the act of the Mu Clan asking for the hand in marriage of Wang Yue is nothing short of vile and disgusting. It was unwanted and not welcomed, it was something Butler Sun and anyone in the Wang Family is sure to agree on.
The Mu Clan can fuck themselves. What is forming an alliance to make peace if the happiness of one's own is not kept? The Young Miss is not a tool that can just be decided upon by some Clan.
"Have the Mu Clan not see our intent? Have the arrows of the Mistress been too light for you to understand that your Clan is something we are ready to stand up to? The Mu Clan may have existed for many millennia. But our Wang Family is not afraid of you, the Immortals in your Family is nothing but an old man who is on their last leg. And you have no one to represent in the [Origin Lands], so what is it that you think you can scare us with?"

Butler Sun stopped speaking and stared at Mu Feng who had eked out of the way. The pressure coming from Butler Sun had been too immense for him. His silhouette decreased and Mu Feng lost the ability to look Sun Wu in the eyes.
However, as Mu Feng shrieked away, the old man beside him snickered and attracted the attention of Sun Wu. Creasing his brows, Sun Wu asked, "What is so funny?"
The old man contained himself and spoke up as he stared down at Butler Sun's eyes, "Do you really think our Mu Clan kept our silence because we fear you people? You destroyed a number of our branch families, but the one who did so was Xiao Fei'er. Let me guess, you might have thought that you were incapacitating us, but is that really the matter?"
Butler Sun became serious as he listened to the old man's words some more.
"Your Immortal expert made a move against us, and if we retaliate, do you suppose anyone would complain? No, none will see our actions in the fault. And if we are to raise our flags against your Wang Family, our allies will have the right to attack you, and if our allies attack you, with only the Yan Clan who have no more than two Immortals as your ally and the Xiao Clan as the chained sword that cannot make a move. Do you think you can fend us off?"
The old man picked up the tea on the table that is served to him and then took a sip to introduce the refreshing tea to his system. With a long pause in progress, the old man from the Mu Clan once again continued.
"The Mu Clan might not be able to decimate the Wang Family, but with two other behemoths, do you think we cannot wipe you out? The offer of taking in the adopted daughter of the Wang is nothing but our gesture to show that we want to make peace. But you have rejected the offer and chose to protect the lass that is not even a member of the immediate family. And you have taken out the spear that also means you are endangering us in your territory. Now, let me ask you, do you think the Wang Family can handle the repercussions of denying our offer?"

Butler Sun did not speak for a while as if he had choked up. This put a smile on the face of the Old Man, but before Mu Feng could feel confidence and regain his composure. Butler Sun had already created a smile and stared down at the old man.
Picking his spear and then pointing at Mu Feng. The old man became alert and then stood in front of Mu Feng who was quivering in fear. His eyes was full of alertness and he was ready to take action in order to let his Young Master escape.
"Your words are nothing but useless babble. Your little allies, let me first confirm. Is it the Desolate Clan, and the Frost Peak Sect? If yes then your Mu Clan does indeed have the ability to raise your heads and look at us in the eyes. But do you really think you those people who had already been defeated by our War God has the right to speak? If you do wish to point your swords at death then I welcome you to do so, the Wang Family never regrets its decisions. The Young Miss of the Wang Family is the Young Miss of the Wang Territory, she is a member of this family and if we do not forsake her for the sake of a flimsy peace and let her suffer all her life.
"If you think you have the courage to face the Wang Family then do so, take up arms and announce it to the world. Face us and make the world know of the chaos that is about to ensue, I am the Spear of the Bloody War God, to those who point their weapons at his family is the same as pointing at mine! And the price of doing such act is your very lives and the rest of the insolent bastards who wish to see us fall!!"
Butler Sun raised his voice little by little and as a wave shook the house as he roared out in anger. The old man could feel that Butler Sun was not someone he can take. The arrogance he had disappeared.
And just like Mu Feng, he too choked and was at a loss for word.
Butler Sun stared at them and in irritation, "NOW, FUCK OFF! YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE AND YOU SHALL NEVER TAKE THE YOUNG MISS, YOU ARE A NUISANCE!!"
Butler Sun exchanged gazes with Mu Feng who was behind the old man and spoke slowly with a deep and heavy tone, "You, idiotic noble, hear these words. You are not to set foot in this territory any longer. I do not care what reason is it that you need, but if you set foot in the land of the Wang Territory then one of the lovely seven Shadows will visit you."
With that said, Butler Sun turned around and then had the servants escort the old man and Mu Feng out. Butler Sun went to his office and went to write three letters.
One was for Xiao Fei'er who needs to know that chaos was about to fall. The other was for the leader of the Yan Clan letting them know that something is bound to happen. And lastly, he wrote a letter to Wang Ling…
Staring at the letter he wrote for Wang Ling, he sighed and mumbled, "Should I send this to the First Young Master...?"

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.

Cheaters Always Win
Chester Everheart knew that life wasn't fair. Some were born in situations where it was almost impossible to succeed, whereas others were born with a silver spoon with everything at their disposal. A scant few were dropped into another world, filled with monsters and magic and forced to fend for themselves. The latter was a rare, somewhat ridiculous trope; but it happened to him anyway. Despite this he followed a motto that applied regardless of the dimension he was in. Playing fair is for suckers, and cheaters always win. Cheaters Always Win is a comedy-adventure that I've had churning in my head for a couple years now. I'd like to think it still has the charm that most LitRPGs have while also being unique in its own way. Every arc of the story will subsequently have a 'Level Complete' chapter that details all the stats, levels, equipment, etc. gained by the main cast of characters.
