Celestial Peak Chapter 115

Wang Ling stood up from where he stood and went down. He was moving naturally and his body was constantly emitting heat. He looked normal and unchanged, other than his increased cultivation, nothing was amiss.
It was strange considering how much had changed in just a few short days of cultivating and inheriting most of his innate techniques.
Bai Xue was also on the same boat as him. While she jumped on top of his shoulders, she began to speak, "Will you also start cultivating the Soul Devourer this time around? You need a soul that's a realm higher than your current cultivation correct?"
She was speaking at a volume that only the two of them could hear.
Bai Xue and Wang Ling do not hide anything in regards to their cultivation. This was especially so in what they need. They were partners and they helped one another to get what they need to improve.
It was a shallow relationship but this simple act of sharing every bit of information shows their trust with one another. Aside from any sensitive topic of their past, the two were pretty open about many things.
"I just need a single soul, but it can't be any higher than a Minor Saint. I'll get devoured by the soul if it was stronger than a Minor Saint."
"Okay, let me just confirm this. Do you need the blood of the beasts or any other race you kill?"
"No, why do you ask?"
Bai Xue smiled, "That's great, I get its blood essence then. Hehe, I'll be able to use [Blood Pillage] without the presence of the Phoenix's blood in the external world. Finally, I won't need to just munch on cores."
Wang Ling finally understood why she was asking him. Blood Pillage refers to an innate technique Bai Xue inherited when she was trapped inside the ball of blood.
Back in the White Dragon Valley, she used the said skill to drain any lifeform of their blood and life essence while using the innate superiority of the Phoenix's blood to suppress everyone who approached her.

However, after Bai Xue got out of the ball of blood and absorbed the Phoenix blood into her system. She lost that ability indefinitely. It was such a disappointment after losing such an overpowered innate ability.
Thankfully, that innate technique does not seem to have been lost completely.
After Bai Xue assimilated most of the Frost Dragon's blood and enriched her pool of blood essence. She inherited memories regarding the Blood Pillage innate technique.
This information made Bai Xue extremely happy, but when she and Wang Ling went to test it out in some random beast. They were disappointed to see the innate technique cannot be used, at least temporarily.
The innate technique can only be unlocked fully when Bai Xue assimilates the bloodline of the Frost Dragon completely. It took her a while but she finally did so that day when Wang Ling said what the effects of his Light Bearer innate technique was.
The pressure of being left out by the person who was by your side made her assimilate the blood quicker than she would have imagined. Right now, Bai Xue was itching on who she should use it on.
The technique had no limitations other than taking longer to absorb the blood essence of those stronger beings. However, other than that, there was no other limitations.
Blood Pillage was a technique that will turn the blood essence of others as nutrition without meeting a problem. It was such a wonderful technique that anyone would find it hard not to be jealous of it.
But aside from the perverted and jealousy-inducing effects of the Blood Pillage. Wang Ling had a question pop up in his head after hearing of how Bai Xue managed to unlock the said technique.
[Did the Blood Pillage awakened when the Phoenix bloodline entered her system? Considering her mysterious bloodline already allows her to absorb every of the Four Deities, does that mean unlocking her full potential means more blood of the Four Deities?]
Wang Ling paused his thought process and rubbed his glabella for the future headache he and Bai Xue will face. If his hypothesis was correct, then that means they will need to face more of the Four Deities.

A single Frost Dragon had already marked his soul after he killed it. Bai Xue seemed to have forgotten about the Soul Mark because Wang Ling had not mentioned it before, but the Soul Mark has already etched itself on Wang Ling's soul.
No one will be able to take that soul mark away other than another dragon. Meaning, Wang Ling is going to become the target of every Dragon they will face later in the future.
Wang Ling sighed and Bai Xue noticed this and asked him what was wrong.
"It's a long story, I'll tell you about it later."
Wang Ling and his group reached the edge of the Mountain's peak and stopped. Need not to needlessly go and meet them in front of the cave. They only need to wait at the peak for Wang Hong's and Qigang's return.
They waited and soon saw saints flying away. Many had a smile plastered on their faces while some were frowning. Others were fighting others were just watching them fight.
This was the sight after a raid ends. Those who benefited will face two endings after getting out of the tomb. First, they will walk away without a problem, second, they will be killed or almost killed by others.
Other occurrences could take place like being mark by others, carrying a grudge and many more headache-inducing problems. But all of that was normal.
Facing the Jealousy of others when you manage to gain benefits was a normal occurrence. Grudges formed from conflict inside the tomb was no different as well.
Wang Ling had experienced enough tomb raids to know this much. Fun fact, Wang Ling gained at least half of his previous enemies after a tomb raid. Why this was so, it was simply because he culled too many of other people's kin and disciples.
[Good times.] Wang Ling thought to himself and chortled. While he was chuckling while reminiscing of good times. The ground rumbled and towering ice shards erupted from somewhere below the peak.
Wang Ling saw flames burning as two figures rose into the air and two figures battling one another appeared above the sky.
Squinting his eyes, Wang Ling could make out the identities of those two as the young master of the Mu Clan, Mu Feng and the lady always with Wang Hong, QingBiao.
QingBiao's countenance carried a cold and indifferent expression while her body was covered in frosts. Her qi was carrying the terrifying ability to freeze those who get on her way.
On the opposite of her was Mu Feng who was using a halberd against QingBiao. Wang Ling raised an eyebrow upon seeing Mu Feng, after all, he had already mastered his halberd to the point it was emitting Halberd Intent.
"Oh, this is interesting." Wang Ling remarked. Wang Ling then run-up to the mountain peak and sat on the protruding roots of the Crimson Flower Tree. He made sure to find a good seat to watch a show.
"Have some of this." Bai Xue passed a jar of wine to him and she got out of her shoulder. Taking a seat on her lap, Bai Xue looked up and began to watch two youths clashing in what looked like a fight to the death.
"Who do you think will win?" Bai Xue asked Wang Ling.
"Their cultivation is the same, half-step Grand Saint… but I will have to go for QingBiao. She's quite good at using her qi… oh, would you look at that, she's already gunning for it, I guess QingBiao will win this thing."
Wang Ling and Bai Xue started watching the fight as if it was natural. Why? It was because they were bored.

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.

MY FAKE DUNGEON
Giant doors suddenly appeared all over the world. Alex knowing the truth, now has to wander beyond the doors to save his world. But he realized he alone wasn't enough so he sought help from the others, of which he called them... Players.. _______ A heads up, I'm sure you'd be able to infer from the synopsis, this is something like a dungeon owner mc but I just like to say that there is no heavy litrpg to this even thought the mc calls them players. No system (except for mc?) and no level up like that. Just mc trying to use people for his own good. If I had to describe this novel in three words it be, guns, despair, and monsters. WARNING: I'm a complete amateur at writing and my English sucks so.. yahh.. I will post these on other sites such as webnovel and scribblehub as well.
