"That took a while… and it seems like you're going to continue going with tormenting yourself with that flames of yours. Tell me, are you some masochist or something?"

Bai Xue saw Wang Ling had yet to stop doing his absurd way of training and just had to remark how he was treating himself. Wang Ling just rolled his eyes to Bai Xue before standing up.

He stretched his back and Bai Xue tossed him a jar of wine before he could even respond. Of course, he wasn't going to complain and took a sip of the wine and tasted the light and lifting taste of the Oasis Wine.

Bai Xue finished drinking her wine and turned to look at the Frost Dagon's still fresh corpse that she had preserved. The Frost Dragon was fundamentally made of flesh, blood, ice. A month or two would not be enough to make the Frost Dragon's meat rot.

The Frost Dragon was also a saint at one point so its fleshy body had already changed.

Looking at the majestically split Frost Dragon, Wang Ling smiled. He could sense the improvement of his sword through the damage he had caused to the Frost Dragon.

Wang Ling didn't comment on Bai Xue's newfound comfort. He instead went to take a good chunk of the Frost Dragon's flesh and began setting up a barbequing area where he could cook its meat.

Wang Ling slow-cooked the flame with his Heaven Flame and shared it with Bai Xue. The two enjoyed the meat accompanied by the wine and absorbed the lingering qi inside the meat.

The meat was savory and juicy, where meat juices will fill the mouth with each bite. Wang Ling and Bai Xue enjoyed its taste and had a silent agreement of hunting Frost Dragon's in times of need.

The body of the Frost Dragon was large and because they get benefits from eating the Frost Dragon's meat. The two didn't pass the opportunity to finish everything. After eating everything, Wang Ling decided to keep the bones of the Frost Dragon.

The said bones would be used for plans and a bow that he would take his time to complete. Wang Ling and Bai Xue decided to leave the cave after some time, and because they were inside a cave and could not see the sun.

They did not know how long had passed. What they knew is that they took a lot of time in their cultivations that they could very well be cultivation for months without their knowledge.

Bai Xue and Wang Ling left the cave and the Spring of Beasts Forest altogether. They avoided heading any deeper into the forest for they fear the idea of death through their sheer stupidity, curiosity, and greed.

When they left, several things were already happening around the entire Celestial Spirit Realm without their knowledge. But Wang Ling gave no crap about the news, no, that was incorrect as he very much cares but had no means of gathering information.

Thinking of any major changes happening to the realm, Wang Ling shook his head. At best, a few months should have passed and no longer than 2 to 3 months. The two of them made their way out of the forest.

"So, are you going to transform into your Phoenix form or do you want me to run around?"

"I can't turn into a Phoenix yet. My act of trying to get as much strength from my bloodline ignition had resulted in my Phoenix bloodline waning and thinning out. Recovering from this state is going to take a while."

In the fight with the Frost Dragon, it wasn't just Wang Ling who pushed himself but also, Bai Xue who did her best in trying to make sure the Frost Dragon dies. In the process of doing so, she almost burnt off her bloodline.

Although Wang Ling didn't end up as bad as Bai Xue did.

Wang Ling also has problems with his bloodline that reflects his current position of being weakened but also strengthened at the same time.

"So are we going to run?" he asked honestly which Bai Xue responded with a laugh as she spoke with haughtiness and pride.

"Hehe, no need…" upon saying those words, she jumped into the waterfalls that was going down in front of them and the silhouette a Dragon. Freezing the waterfall, Bai Xue's Dragon form was revealed and Wang Ling found her image beautiful.

Perfectly laid out scales that was reflected by the sun giving out a beautiful deep blue luster of icy and coolness. Gigantic maw and body that was especially terrifying to witness but also inspiring. And wings that stretched for 30-meters.

Wang Ling was full of smiles. He was not expecting to see Bai Xue easily whip out her newly gained bloodline like this. He thought that he would need another few months to sort out her control over it. Surprisingly, controlling the bloodline of a dragon was quite easy to do.

Jumping on Bai Xue's large but arrogant looking head and the two of them sped away while the beast below trembled at the presence of the Frost Dragon. From their perspective, the Frost Dragon had come out of the forest.

They were now free of the fear they had each day for the Frost Dragon. Leaving the Forest, Wang Ling and Bai Xue headed for the Frost Domain in a path that was far from the Frosted Border Range.

They took a path that was named [Snow Pass] it was a pass that was relatively safe for most parts. But was also a couple of times farther from the Frost Domain's actual territory.

The two avoided Frost Border Rang like the plague because they didn't want to get involved in any dangerous situations that could take their lives. The benefits of going to check the abyss was just something everyone does for patriotism.

Along the way, Wang Ling and Bai Xue would meet with beasts lower in strength than them and they would kill it. Wang Ling and Bai Xue's 2 weeks of continuous slaughter and absorbing of beast core proved to be valuable resources.

Wang Ling reached pinnacle-level-2 nascent soul stage and was only waiting for the right time to reach level-3. The two of them was always talking about something to pass the boredom as quite literally, nothing was happening to one another.

Another 2 weeks after Wang Ling and Bai Xue got out of the cave and the two finally reached Frost Domain and the two of them frantically searched for a city.

Lucky for them, they found a Border Town just before noon came. Then, Bai Xue and Wang Ling landed somewhere far from the Border Town they have seen before moving into the town to enjoy having the benefits of living in a town where there was civilization.

Wang Ling was quickly making his way through the entrance of the Border Town but unlike Deserto Border Town, they were made to pay some stellar stones.

Even against Wang Ling's self-code and conduct, he paid some stellar stones to enter the town. The immediately went to find a restaurant so they can wash the taste of barbequed dinner.

Upon entering, they did the usual. Find a waiter get to the second floor and get treated to food by your beast companion. They were doing what everyone was doing.

They especially went to ask for some wine, the lengthy travel from Spirit of Beast Forest and going into the Snow Pass and reaching this Border Town whose name he had yet to reach was something that took a toll in the two of them.

And their alcohol had long been emptied. Bai Xue was not a fan of an emptied jar of wine and was going to buy a lot this time. Going through the lists of wines, Wang Ling and Bai Xue decided to buy the highest quality one.

Bai Xue did, Wang Ling had yet to loot something good so he was still broke. Assaulting and robbing someone that was both rich and a bitch was something he was not going to do.

The foods were just about to arrive when Wang Ling heard some gossips and talks that made him raise a brow.

"Have you heard of the tomb in the [Red Peak Mountain]?"

"The one found by the Feng Family?"

"Yes that one, have you heard? Those of the other Great Clans and Families are going to join in opening the gates and barrier of the tomb."
