Wang Ling was made to follow the new students without any complaints. Mo Nuan told him that he could not leave the academy for a day as the plaques had yet to transform into identity plaques.

Although Wang Ling was saddened, he did not argue and followed Mo Nuan into the outer circle of the academy.

As their group walked around, they passed through different places and different sites. But they didn't stop to look at them. Mo Nuan mentioned something about those places that can be visited by themselves so she did not want to waste her time by being their guide.

She only ever accepted this guide job as a thing to earn a few points anyway and she was already feeling irritated that she had to give half of what she would earn to those bastards who won the bet.

The students reached an area where houses were built on a mountain. Starting for the foot of the mountain, the houses only got bigger. The house on the peak was no longer a house and was already a mansion bordering a castle.

"This would be your lodgings for the day until tomorrow at noon. Every house is the same, except for the houses of the top 10 examinees which were arranged with qi convergence arrays. The top 10 to 4 houses multiply the denseness of the spirit qi in the surrounding area by a fold.

Bai Xue was with her and she didn't have any problem having Wang Ling live with her. It wasn't much of a hassle or any trouble.

Wang Ling walked up quietly without any intention of causing trouble but the trouble was looking for him instead. Wang Ling had yet to even take his fifth step when a fist came from behind him.

Feeling the dangerous intent oncoming, Wang Ling promptly made his move. He turned around to block the fist but the fist was too fast to be blocked. The fist flew pass his arms that was forming a cross to block the attack.

Wang Ling saw a fist coming for him and felt a ravenous spirit qi enveloping that fist. The fist was about to land on his face, but he wasn't going to let it easily let himself get hit.

Moving as fast as he could. He made use of his supreme spirit qi to envelope his forehead as much as possible and banged his forehead against the oncoming fist.

Bang!

Wang Ling took three steps backward as his forehead hit the fist. He couldn't evade it but it didn't mean he was at any big disadvantage.

The man who punched him held his fist as two of his fingers were dislocated as he too took a step backward. Wang Ling looked at that student in anger.

His killing intent was seeping out of his body as he felt his head throb. He was only a level-2 nascent soul stage cultivator. He was able to hit back, but Wang Ling's strength wasn't so overwhelming that he would be unfazed by such a surprise attack.

As his killing intent intensified, Wang Ling glared at the dazed Guo Ru as he coldly stated, "What are you doing?"

His tone was cold and unfeeling. It made many of those present shiver as they listened.

Guo Ru straightened out his dislocated fingers as he smirked and condescendingly answered, "I'm just testing out the master of the little bitch who took the first place of the examination. I don't know how you did it but you should exchange with me, who is the rightful number one of this group."

Listening to Guo Ru's condescending and annoying words. Wang Ling's anger almost instantaneously disappeared as he heard one of the funniest things he had heard. Wang Ling smiled and the little white fox that was pretending to sleep on his shoulder also began laughing.

Bai Xue could not contain her laughter anymore as she said to Wang Ling, "Wang Ling that should be enough. A good laugh and a few fingers should be a good exchange for a cowardly sneak attack. Guo Ru, was it? Keep it up, you'll be a good clown one day!"

Bai Xue had always been rude and upon waking up from the funniest and nonsensical bullshit she had heard in a while. Bai Xue commended Guo Ru for coming up with such a joke that her irritation from being woken up disappeared.

She was planning to sneak attack him in return for waking her up when Wang Ling was struck. But it wasn't needed now.

The reason why they were laughing was simple. He had the gall to straight-up claim he was the top student of the group when he wasn't even a contender to begin with. Aiane of the elves had reached second place, if anyone had any right to claim she was best other than Bai Xue. It would be her.

Wang Ling had the same opinion as Bai Xue. After that 'joke' Guo Ru had uttered. Everything seemed trivial now. He turned around and continued going up the mountain.

This act of Wang Ling and Bai Xue pair obviously infuriated Guo Ru to no end. His spirit qi shot up as his burly body experienced a change.

It was Bai Xue who found Guo Ru as an eyesore. Being look down upon by Guo Ru like this made Bai Xue frown deeply.

Guo Ru only scoffed at her words, he didn't take Bai Xue's words as anything serious. The beast was a mere level-3 nascent soul stage nobody. If they fight, it was obvious he who would win.

"What are you going to do about it?" Guo Ru's body disappeared and reappeared just 3 meters away from Wang Ling. With Guo Ru's fist stretched back as far as he could. He punched out in a split second manner.

But even before he could reappeared before Wang Ling. Wang Ling who was getting irritated by him once more turned his body to a sword and especially focusing his attention to his middle finger.

This made many shook their heads in response.

However, Wang Ling's improved sword qi wasn't going to let him down. If Guo Ru used a technique then Wang Ling might face some trouble. But he didn't. Wang Ling made use of three qi pillars and directly stopped Guo Ru's fist with a single finger.

"Piercing Wave." He mumbled quietly as Guo Ru's fist stopped its advance.

Wang Ling stopping the fist with a single finger caused the other students to be shock. It was an unprecedented surprise. But the one who was most surprised about this matter would be Guo Ru who was forced to step back.

But being who he was. Wang Ling would not let anyone who provokes him scratch-free if he can do some damage. Utilizing his Soaring Devil movement technique, Wang Ling disappeared and reappeared behind the frantically retreating Guo Ru.

Wang Ling smashed Guo Ru on the back and burrowed him on the ground. Wang Ling used 3 of his qi pillars to achieve this whole thing. It was quite wasteful of him. But seeing Guo Ru moan just before his feet was truly quite satisfying.

Jumping backward, Wang Ling watched as Guo Ru struggled to get up. But as he was doing so, Bai Xue leisurely approached him.

He moved and tried to take Bai Xue by the neck but his hands paused as Bai Xue's aura suddenly changed. The air around Bai Xue became intimidating as an invisible aura appeared and bored down upon Guo Ru.

On Bai Xue's two front legs had cloud rising in an imposing manner. After circulating the ability of the Phantom Cloud Tiger, she proceeded to use its bloodline.

Guo Ru came from the race of Tigers.

Although beastmen were only partly related to spirit beasts. They were like spirit beasts in regards to their reverence of those who possesses stronger bloodlines. Guo Ru was a mere beastman from a lower realm.

The Phantom Cloud Tiger was one of the rulers of the Lower Heaven Realm. It may only control a small portion of some region, but it was still higher than any other tigers of this realm.

Bai Xue owned its bloodline. Right now, he was making full use of its capabilities. With Guo Ru's hands stopping, his eyes caught Bai Xue's eyes and immediately dodged and look down on the ground.

The haughty attitude of Guo Ru became submissive as Bai Xue's anger and irritation peaked.

"I told you to shut up and you didn't listen. For an 'incomplete' beast such as yourself to dare challenge me, do you wish to die that early?" Bai Xue's words were harsh, but Guo Ru said nothing.

His head slowly got lower and lower. His knees realigned as it he began to kneel and started revering Bai Xue as if she was a god. Those bystanders had their mouths agape at this sight.

Waving his tail, Bai Xue went pass Guo Ru and waited for Wang Ling to move before jumping on his shoulder.

Wang Ling left with Bai Xue and entered the first placed house where the spirit qi was densest. Those who were left outside didn't know what happened. The beastmen who entered with Guo Ru step forth and asked him what happened.

"What happened Senior Guo Ru. Did those guys poison you? Did the little bit…"

Bang!

Without any explanation, the one who talked smack about Bair Xue was sent flying and Guo Ru looked back if the door of the first place house opened. He heave a sigh of relief after seeing that it hadn't.

Guo Ru looked around and told the beastmen present to keep away from Bai Xue and Wang Ling.

"If you don't follow my commands, then, you will die."

Wang Ling entered the room with Bai Xue and immediately went to find a good place to rest. The house had multiple rooms and at least 10 people could stay at the house without a problem.

Picking a room for themselves, Wang Ling entered his own and Bai Xue entered her own. It was no problem and the two quickly cultivated and devoured the spirit qi that was around them.

The thick and dense spirit qi entered their bodies and meridians and blessed their insides. Wang Ling's cultivation was improving. With the dense spirit qi that was surrounding the entirety of Thundergod Academy and the formation set up in the house and the stellar stones, he had set up.

Time passed and as he was too immersed in his cultivation. Night passed and his black gold plaque became a purple plaque that had his name engraved on its surface. At noon, Wang Ling opened his eyes and as he did, he checked his plaque.

Stretching his body, he thought.

"Time to go home!" Wang Ling was already ready to leave.
