Along the way, they managed to encounter seven devil cultivator all of which were killed by Wang Ling and Bai Xue. The two of them didn't meet any strong enemy only level-1 to 3 nascent soul stage cultivators.

Of course, they didn't forget to torture… to ask them if they knew anything regarding this Mini World. Sadly, they were useless and the only thing that made Wang Ling smile was the loots they had with them.

Wang Ling had though that this Mini World was small. But who would've thought that even after running around trying to find devil cultivators and spirit beasts, he was almost left stupefied by how hard it was to encounter anyone.

Just as they were moving around, he caught sight of another devil cultivator heading deeper into the Mini World and was heading to the palace. Wang Ling licked his lips getting ready to take that person down.

He got up on a tree and used it as a platform to send himself flying as if he was a cannonball. With sword in hand, Wang Ling was just about to behead another devil cultivator when all of a sudden a roar came from his right.

Roaarrr!!!!

Wang Ling turned his head over and saw a spirit beast that was brimming with life and devil aura.

"Human! Coming into the territory of the True Devil King was a mistake! Come, I will send you down to your deaths!"

The spirit beast looked like it was a hybrid of a giant python and a bull. On its head was a horn that was even larger than the one the Devil Horn Buffalo he had previously fought.

Wang Ling saw this and frowned. He could feel the spirit beast was stronger than the ones he had fought before. Also, it was fast. No, it was extremely fast.

Swoosh!

The devil cultivator was just in front of Wang Ling and Bai Xue, but the horned-snake that was supposed to be meters away reached him first. With its gigantic maw that spans for over 5 meters, the horned-snake devoured the devil cultivator whole.

Wang Ling's scalps turned numbed after seeing this. He wanted to retreat but the snake had already marked him and turned to him as it also wanted to devour him.

Its resplendent black scales were reflected in Wang Ling's eyes. The maw of the horned-snake was simply terrifying.

Wang Ling's face turned dark and his wings abruptly opened up so he could step back and retreat. But his speed was not on par with the horned-snake. Leading for Bai Xue to step up and defend against the snake's deadly maw.

Transforming into a Black Tiger, the wings of the Phoenix sprouted from her back. Flames erupted from her body and the mist-like cloud started coming out of her paws. Her claws extended as she retaliated with a headbutt.

The horned-snake's advance stopped and Bai Xue used that opportunity to slash its face.

Bai Xue wrenched the horned-snakes mouth open with her sharp claws. Upon opening its mouth, she gathered her flames into her mouth and as the heat reached its peak, Bai Xue unleashed hell into the horned-snake's mouth.

The horned-snake wailed in pain but Bai Xue continued.

The forceful approach of the horned-snake was stopped and Bai Xue's power kept the snake at bay. Wang Ling received breathing space but he saw that the snake was not dead yet. Not wasting a single second, he kept his sword and took out his bow.

Posturing in front of the snake's blazing mouth and Bai Xue's flames. Wang Ling gathered his mix of supreme spirit qi and hellish qi into his bow as he pulled its bowstring.

He formed a black golden arrow. He let out a breath as he remembered one of his most devastating martial techniques from the past. With nine qi pillars behind his arrows, Wang Ling murmured.

"Heaven's Wrath!" Wang Ling let go of the bowstring and the roars of the heavens echoed along with the wind. Everything around Wang Ling seemingly got swept by his arrow and the dense aura of slaughter exploded into the horned-snake's mouth.

The arrow entered the flames burning the horned-snake's body. It lacerated everything on its path and rendered the body of the horned-snake like it was made of wood. Bits of flesh flew into the air as if they were fireworks.

It was a scary sight to behold but it was also amazing and could make anyone's mouth agape. Even as Wang Ling's arrow reached the end of the horned-snake's body, its momentum has yet to die down.

It pierced through the body of the horned-snake and devastated the area it passes. The body of the horned-snake was at least fifty meters long and the rest of his arrow's travel before it stopped was little over 400 hundred meters.

The devastation he had caused was immense. The trees around them were blown away and the craters that came from the past were replaced with a miniature gorge left by Wang Ling's arrow.

The horned-snake was destroyed and everything from its blood to its meat turned to dust.

"That was a little startling." Wang Ling commented as his left knee touched the ground and his exhaustion peak. He kept the bow away and asked Bai Xue for a beast core. Bai Xue took out a beast core from her storage ring and passed it to Wang Ling.

Absorbing the qi from the beast core and taking out some stellar stones, Wang Ling began recuperating.

"I wasn't expecting a pinnacle level-4 nascent soul spirit beast to pop out without warning. I didn't even feel it coming towards us." Bai Xue was also tired and she too was absorbing qi from beast cores and stellar stones.

She was only a level-2 nascent soul stage spirit beast and despite her overwhelming advantage in her arsenal and greater physique, Bai Xue was still weaker in terms of cultivation. She was strong, but her current level of strength only let her jump two levels.

The levels of the nascent soul stage were like a stage for phases. All levels have an early, middle, late, and pinnacle. Bai Xue triumphing over opponents that were two levels higher than her was amazing enough as it is.

Wang Ling nodded his head on Bai Xue's comment. Although he was unable to harvest anything from the horned-snake's body, at least he learned something new. The beast inside this Mini World was unlike the ones outside.

He had never seen such a beast before, and he was someone who hunted down almost everything. He scoured his memories for any form of information he can get and came across a book.

Trying his best to remember its content, Wang Ling stumbled upon a beast that came close to the horned-snake just now. [Regal Black Serpent] was the name of the beast on the book and the description matched the beast he had fought.

"Bai Xue, it seems like this place is deeply connected to Hell Realm. But concerning the qi from the Heaven Realm, what was that?" Wang Ling was already aware that this Mini World has a connection with the Hell Realm.

But because of Bai Xue's earlier words about the Heaven Realm, Wang Ling still doubted it a little bit. However, with the thick hellish qi and aura of slaughter and destruction, he no longer doubted its connection to the Hell Realm.

"The qi of the Heaven Realm I spoke of is the thing that surrounded this place. The curtain, or the barrier that kept this Mini World hidden. Also, although the hellish qi is thicker here, I can still vaguely sense qi from Heaven Realm and it is thicker up there."

Bai Xue pointed at the palace atop the highest hill and Wang Ling frowned. This place was a mystery to him and Bai Xue, but it was becoming increasingly mysterious as they continued.

Wang Ling was wondering what move he should make, but then, he remembered something from Mater Black's words, "Bai Xue, do you know anything about the Holy Race? I think that has something to do with the presence of the Heaven Realm."

Bai Xue was put into deep thought but in the end, shook her head as she could not recall anything that has an inkling to those words.

The two of them recovered but just as they did, the presence of different spirit beasts and humans coming their way was sensed by Bai Xue. The flashy fight they had seem to have attracted a lot of attention from both the inhabitants of this world and the devil cultivators.

Soon, they would be in the middle of the tide and the two of them will be the enemy of two sides. Devil cultivators will start attacking them and spirit beast will hunt them down.

"Should we come out now?" Bai Xue asked which Wang Ling shook his head as he answered.

"Transform into your original form. We will kill our way out of this place before they reach us. We can't risk being found by Master Black or else death will be our only fate.

"You are much faster when you are in your white fox form and you can also use the skills of the Black Tiger and the Phoenix on it. We should be able to kill our way out without letting that much people know of our presence."

Bai Xue agreed and turned back to her white fox form. Although she prefers her Black Tiger form which had a more bulky body and superior power, Bai Xue knew Wang Ling was right. Killing their way out as fast as possible will be crucial.

At the moment, Bai Xue had already recovered to her peak state. But Wang Ling was only half as only five of his nine qi pillars were filled. But either way, nothing awaits them but death if he dally.

Wang Ling unfurled his wings and with a start, he and Bai Xue moved and attempted to kill their way out through in the oncoming wave of beast and humans.
