With appearance of the Phoenix, the people that entered the White Dragon Valley started to converge. They headed for the area where the Phoenix first appeared.

As they got closer to the illusory image of the Phoenix, the number of people around them had increased significantly. Top notch disciples from top tier powerhouse started to appear.

Wang Ling noticed that around the area where they were coming from, there were two different sect around. One was the Tiger Domination Sect while the other one was the Colossus Sect that had its disciple wear black robes.

Wang Ling looked over at the Colossus Sect that was on their right and noticed their towering build. They looked strong and they seem to possess indomitable might that can rival that of a savage beast.

Getting closer to the illusory image of the Phoenix; they were getting closer to the treasure; but as they get closer to the treasure; the more savage beasts were starting to appear.

Blood were beginning to spill everywhere as an actual bloodbath began to happen. However, something weird was pick upon by Wang Ling, the savage beasts that they have encountered seem to be also heading deeper into the White Dragon Valley.

The savage beasts were all heading to the same place as they were. They wanted to reach the place where the Phoenix had appeared. Why was this so? Wang Ling had an idea and it was something he didn't like.

[The savage beasts are trying to take the bloodline of the two beast for themselves.]

Bloodline was an important factor for savage beasts and even spirit beasts for that matter. The density of one's bloodline is like the talent for the human cultivators; a higher purity of bloodline, the stronger the possibility becoming a being that ascends to a celestial.

Wang Ling was well aware of this and he did not like this. He wanted the blood for himself as he could feel a tinge of devilish aura from the Phoenix even from where he stood. The bloodline of the Phoenix has enough devil lineage for him to make his bloodline mutate once again.

The two beasts started to tremble and the loudest, most powerful resonating roars and cries of the Dragon and Phoenix appeared.

Both beasts started to become bigger and bigger. The skies began to grow darker as the emergence of the two beasts seemed to have triggered some kind of phenomenon.

The beasts that was running towards the Phoenix became even more vigorous and madly started stampeding towards the area of the Phoenix and Dragon.

The beasts were pushing one another and soon enough, fights broke out as beasts versus beast happened. Fang Guan and the others tried their best to avoid any beast fighting but there were simply too many beasts around that they were unable to avoid them.

A Dragon Scaled Ape was in front of them and it noticed Fang Guan's process and became immediately enraged. A human was also here to steal the blood of the beasts that was supposed to be theirs.

HOOO!

The Dragon Scaled Ape let out an enraged roar and struck its enormous fist against Fang Guan and the rest. A strong force erupted from Fang Guan's body after seeing the Dragon Scaled Ape moving to kill them.

His aura surged as his body began to swell. His already robust body became even more robust and a strong sense of unmovable made him look gallant and impressive.

"SCRAM!!" Fang Guan let out a roar himself and struck his fist forward fearlessly. He needed no sword to defend for his body was his greatest weapon.

Fang Guan's fist looked like it belonged to a toddler when compared to the sheer size it had with the Dragon Scaled Ape. However, this fist of his was not something that anyone can look down upon.

As his fist tore through the air, creating booming sounds as the friction set the air itself ablaze. His 'little' fist met the Dragon Scaled Ape's giant fist.

Underneath Fang Guan, the ground sunk as his entire body shook from that punch. But the Dragon Scaled Ape did not came out unscathed from that exchanged. Three of its fingers were destroyed by Fang Guan.

The Dragon Scale Ape became even angrier as his strength was matched by the puny human in front of it. The Dragon Scaled Ape wanted to execute another fist but Zi Liang's figure emerged from behind Fang Guan and quickly brandished her sword against the beast.

Her sword was quick and deadly. She targeted the beast's eyes, therefore taking away its sight. The Dragon Scaled Ape flailed all over the place but a blazing sword came and beheaded the beast set it ablaze.

Lu Lin had made a perfect slashed, her sword that was many times heated easily cut through the tough skin of the Dragon Scaled Ape.

After killing the Dragon Scaled Ape, their group didn't waste any time and moved forward as soon as they could. Many beasts saw them moving faster and tried to make them stop on their tracks, but the humans coordinated almost seamlessly and became an unstoppable force that slaughtered their way towards the screeching Phoenix and roaring Dragon.

The other sect that was present also created a path of blood that led to the Phoenix and Dragon. The Piercing Heaven Academy was rather slow compared to the two, but they were gradually moving forward.

At this moment, Wang Ling has yet to make a move. But Fang Guan and the others had no problems about that as he was not being a baggage to the team and was moving along with them without any problems.

They expected Wang Ling to be quiet all the way till the end, but a figure suddenly passed through Fang Guan, startling him in the process. It was not only him who was surprised, but the other three was the same.

"What are you doing!? This is no time to mess around! Go back and just quietly follow us!" Fang Guan was angered by his sudden actions. He didn't know what is going on in Wang Ling's head, but if he continue to act like this, they will die by the wave of savage beasts.

Wang Ling had yet to exhibit them any of his martial prowess for the past few weeks that they have been together. They didn't know how strong he really was.

The only thing they know about his prowess was his cultivation that had improved from pinnacle-sky root stage to early-energy palace stage before the mission.

"W-wait, don't go, you'll…." Lu Lin called out, but her words got stuck on her throat as soon as Wang Ling's sword began to move.

A fountain of blood was created as he slayed a late-energy palace stage savage beasts with ease. Wang Ling started moving forward and started taking the lives of those who had their backs turned.

As if he was wind, Wang Ling was able to kill almost anything instantaneously. The only beasts he had a hard time dealing with are those that have reached pinnacle-energy palace stage cultivation.

Wang Ling needed to stack up a qi pillar with his full mastery of the sword in order to kill an energy palace stage beasts. At the moment, Wang Ling had killed three pinnacle-energy palace stage savage beasts, yet he was still going strong.

No one answered her and their group of three quickly followed the trail of blood that Wang Ling had created. Soon, they finally reached an open area where a cave with a red barrier was located.

There were many beasts and the remaining humans who came here earlier than them wanting to enter the cave, but the red barrier barred them from entering. On top of the cave was the Dragon and Phoenix that was circling around the area.

There were still a lot of enemies around them, but the fighting was less frequent. The cave in front of them was big, its entrance was over twenty meters big.

Wang Ling saw this and felt the dense aura of hell was inside those caves. He was just about to head forward when the ground suddenly shook.

The cave that Wang Ling was about to enter blew the top area. Rocks and boulders flew all over the place together with the dust. A ball of blood emerged from the cave and started flying into the air where the two beasts were circling around.

The ball of blood emitted a blinding light and almost every being that was thirty meters away from the cave stopped moving. Fang Guan saw the members of Tiger Domination Sect, the disciples of the Colossus sect and with other beasts stop moving.

He didn't know what happened but he was well aware that something bad was about to happen. Wanting to step forth and help his rival, Wu Tian, Wang Ling stopped him with a few words.

"Step in now and you will die." Wang Ling's words made Fang Guan shudder.

"What do you mean by that!?" Zi Liang questioned by the side.

Wang Ling remained silent for a while before saying, "That's the thing that extracted the blood of those beasts we came into contact with…."

As he said those words, a strong suction force came from the ball of blood and started sucking away the blood and life out of the beasts and humans it had bounded. Soon after, Wu Tian and the rest became an empty husk just like those they had seen before.

Fang Guan and the rest were left speechless and felt that they were lucky that they didn't moved too fast to get swept up into this whole thing.

The ball of blood trembled and immediately after seeing this, Wang Ling felt that something was wrong. A twisted look emerged from Wang Ling's face as he said urgently, "Turn back!"

"What!?"

"Turn back and run, stay here and you will die!" Wang Ling urged the others to move as he said, "This is a trap set by that thing!!!" Wang Ling pointed to the ball of blood that had begun to move.

Wang Ling retreated explosively, and seeing the almost invincible Wang Ling act like this, the three was also alarmed by the danger of the ball of blood.

The ball of blood began to move forward together with the illusory image of the Phoenix and Dragon. As it moved, every blood that was spilled and every being that was thirty meters away from it was absorbed.

As the ball of blood continued its killing spree and blood absorption. Its range of thirty meters improved and became fifty meters. The fifty meters would further improve and become seventy, and then, after an hour, the seventy meter radius became a hundred.

At this time, the ball of blood stop. Every blood and vitality that was on its path was absorbed and it seems like it was already satisfied.

Wang Ling and his teammates who were fast on their feet noticed this. They turned to look at the ball of blood that was suspended in the air and became puzzled to see that there was a crack on its surface.
