Wang Hong and the energetic youths of the Azure Skies Kingdom were all in a fervor. The atmosphere became suited for a low-class battlefield.

Everyone couldn't wait to see the sparring. There was a wide and spacious area situated in the center of the banquet hall, Wang Hong went there and stood there with his left hand on his back and his right hand holding his spear.

He was waiting for an opponent to step forward. The smile on Wang Hong's face was brimming and held no worry.

Wang Ling was expecting more of a simple banquet where people will interact with one another and talk about the current news of the Kingdom and the continent. He wanted to listen in on these kids' conversation and learn about the current world situation.

He had not encountered a book concerning the continent and the different powers other than the Kingdoms nearby the Azure Skies Kingdom so Wang Ling is still on the dark.

[Should I just get a book?

But there was no book concerning the continent in the bookstores I visit with Yue right?

Hmm, should I check the public library or should I head for the royal library directly? Sigh, I'll just go to the Royal Library, there should be a higher chance of high quality books in there.]

Wang Ling decided decisively. No need going to the public library if he can go to royal library. The royal library of any country should be better their public one anyway.

With a wine cup on hand Wang Ling took a sip of the wine. He then heard some movements beside him. Turning his head over, he saw Wang Yue clumsily getting a plate of sweets that was placed on the table.

She was having a hard time mostly because she was not even looking at the food and her arms were short.

Her arms were a little short and the plate was place near the center of the table so it was hard getting one. Seeing this, Wang Ling helped her by handing a plate over before subsequently saying.

"Yue, stop reading the book if you're going to eat. Place the book down for a moment and let us watch Wang Hong spar with the other kids."

Upon hearing Wang Ling's voice, Wang Yue's attention was shaken from the book. She turned to look at Wang Ling before giving him a confused expression, as if she was saying; "when did you get here?"

Wang Ling did not say anything anymore and handed her a plate of roasted meat. Wang Yue did what she was told and placed the book down, she took the plate off of Wang Ling's hand and started eating.

While her cheeks were puff up like a ball of sweetness or like a chipmunk who is happily eating. Wang Yue turned her head to the center of the banquet hall and there he saw his Second Older Brother, Wang Hong.

Pointing at Wang Hong's direction, she asked.

"Is second older brother going to fight?"

Wang Yue asked Wang Ling with pure innocence. She was still eating but in-between her bite and chewing, she managed to ask a question before turning into a chipmunk once more.

"Yes he will be fighting. From the looks of it, our guests came prepared." Wang Ling smiled as he saw them taking out swords that was emitting strange undulations.

Wang Yue widened her eyes and became worried for Wang Hong. She was not that close with Wang Hong, but she was still her sister and Wang Hong treated her like one. Wang Yue was a simple person who treats her family dearly.

Even though she was still not comfortable with Wang Hong's incessant demand for family bonding earlier today, she was still touch to see that her family was so caring and sweet. Also, she only ignored him earlier because she was too engrossed with the books she had just bought and couldn't stop reading.

"Will second older brother be alright? He's not going to get any injury right?"

Wang Yue was worried that something bad might occur. She even forgot to take another bite of the meat in front of her, this shows how shaken she was.

If this glutton forgets to eat her food, then it was clear that she is shaken or disturbed, that's how Wang Ling see his sister at least.

"Don't worry about it too much. Wang Hong is strong and he'll be able to beat them easily. Just eat and watch the show he's about to perform for us."

There were not much people around where Wang Ling and Wang Yue was sitting on so no one really heard his rather hushed voice.

If someone actually heard him talk about Wang Hong easily beating the geniuses of the Azure Skies Kingdom, there would be huge trouble coming to him for sure.

Wang Yue nodded her head after being reassured by Wang Ling's words. When she was just about to get back to eating, she noticed the wine bottle Wang Ling was holding.

"Big brother, is that wine are you holding?"

Wang Ling nodded his head.

"Butler Sun said that you shouldn't be drinking such things. Wine is supposed to be bad for your health." Wang Yue warned Wang Ling.

Wang Ling shrugged his shoulders.

"It's not bad for my health. Butler Sun is only exaggerating his words." He said these words and poured himself a cup of wine before drinking it in one go.

Wang Yue was reluctant to believe Wang Ling, but in the end she chose to trust him. She then took the piece of meat in front of her and began once again.

In the center area of the banquet hall. Wang Hong was waiting for his opponent to take a step forward.

There were arguments everywhere to decide who will get to fight Wang Hong first. The people who were arguing were mostly youths who are at sky root stage. These youths looked like they were in their late teens.

For them to reach such a stage in such an age means that their talent is not really that good. Their better than common people at best.

[Wang Hong should stop playing around with young people like this.

He should have long pass the foundational phase of cultivation so having a bout on this level is not helpful and could even be detrimental to him.

Wang Ling criticized Wang Hong in his heart. While he was doing so, his eyes met Wang Hong's gaze who were looking around the banquet.

Wang Hong wanted to say something but Wang Ling motioned to not bother so Wang Hong stop. Wang Hong then turned his head to see Wang Yue was watching him intently. Well, she was eating while watching but that only means she was enjoying herself.

Wang Hong was pumped. He was sure to give his older brother and littler sister a wonderful show to watch.

"Hey! What is it with the hold up?" Wang Hong called for the youths with unrestrained irritation.

"Hold your horses, I'm coming already so wait a minute."

The arrogant young man who first issued his challenge stepped forth and exchanged looks with Wang Hong. The arrogant fellow's stride was wide so it didn't take long for him to reach fifteen meters away from Wang Hong.

"Greetings brother Wang, it has been a while since I last saw you! Five years, correct?" the arrogant fellow spoke in an amiable manner but the fighting intent in his eyes were not dissipating in the slightest.

Wang Hong saw the arrogant fellow and smiled.

Thud!

He tap the floor with his spear and spoke with a smile on his face.

"Brother Gust, it has truly been a while. So, are you here to reclaim the honor you have lost after losing to this coward?"

Wang Hong's eyes shone a frightening glint. In the past he was called a coward by many people. Every time he walks in the street he will at least be called coward three times before he can head home.

This happened when he was five or six years old. When he left for his mother's home where Wang Hong was put in an intense training, others saw his actions as cowardly and thought he chose to hide away, so the nickname coward stuck to Wang Hong for years until the age of twelve when he came back to the Azure Skies Kingdom.

He was twelve when he went came back to the kingdom. When he came back, he took a walk like old times and sure enough when he walked around the city of Azure Skies, they called him a coward once again.

At first he ignored them, but once they started insulting his family like insulting the name of his father and mother. Wang Hong struck them with a spear, he beat those arrogant people who looked down upon him.

Agni Gust who is in front of him is one those people who called him coward back then. After he beat this guy to the point of tears, Wang Hong didn't see him for years until today five years later.

Wang Hong smiled at the sight of his old bully. Gust did the same and smiled back.

They didn't say anything to enrage the other party as they naturally took their stances.

Wang Hong pointed his spear at his opponent while keeping his body low on the ground, he looked eager to pierce his enemy. Gust raised his sword across his chest as he got ready to cut down Wang Hong.

Talking smack to enrage the opponent now is meaningless, Wang Hong wiped the smile on his face as he secretly suppressed his cultivation to match his opponent.

He was originally someone who crossed the foundational phase of cultivation, but because his opponent was a mere sky root stage cultivator, he brought it down by two levels.

Everyone was surprise to see that Gust had actually comprehended a wisp of incomplete sword intent. He was only twenty-one this year so this shows just what kind of heights he will be able to climb in the future.

They were at awe, they even felt pity for Wang Hong. The nobles could not feel any kind of force behind Wang Hong's spear so they were already sure about the outcome. Hais, the sparring in the Wang family would end just like this, they thought inside their head.

Everyone was at the edge of their seats. Everyone other that Wang Ling that is.

Yawning, Wang Ling grabbed a slice of meat from one of the plates.

[This kids simply don't know who they are dealing with.] He ate a slice of meat as he thought of this.

Wang Ling did not need to turn his head around know what happened to Wang Hong's opponent.

Gust who had the body of a bear was sent flying to the wall..

At this point Wang Ling was only feeling bad for the youth Wang Hong had just blown away. He turned his head to look at Gust, he feared that the big guy suffered some severe injury. Well he saw him squirming and then struggling to get up so the guy shouldn't be dead or in a near death state.

If he get anything out of this whole ordeal, then that would be the information regarding the mastery of weapons in the era.

He thought that geniuses of weapons were appearing one after another because of Wang Hong's sudden appearance but it seems like this was not the case. A wisp of an incomplete sword intent was enough to shock to supposed geniuses, this was enough to make proper conjectures about the current situation of the new era.

After Gust was given treatment, the duels of the youths continued. The nobles threw themselves at Wang Hong and challenged him one after another.

Feeling boredom coming to him, Wang Ling chose to finish off the wine so he can return to his courtyard and sleep.

He finished his wine and got up he turned to Wang Yue and said.

"Yue, your big brother is tired so I'll be going back to sleep. If Butler Sun finds me just say that I went back already."

Wang Ling made his excuses and left with a disappointed look on his face. Wang Yue saw that his brother was leaving and waved at him goodbye. She wanted to see him off but she also wanted to watch the fights.

In the end, Wang Ling made her stay and said that he could go back on his own.

On the way back to his courtyard, Wang Ling saw a noble wobbling around looking drunk. The noble was a woman and she was pretty attractive. She had a body sexy enough to ignite the lust of men and her breasts were bountiful like hills.

As she moved around, her body swayed all over the place and acted like a homeless drunk. Her actions looked unbecoming of a woman.

The young noble lady notices him and called out to him.

"Servant, call the young master of the Kin household. Tell him to come and pick me up!!"

The lady mistook Wang Ling for a servant and ordered him like one. Her tone was condescending and full of authority, as if she was talking to some worm. This made any form of kindness and willingness to help the girl vanish from his heart.

Wang Ling furrowed his brows and passed by her as if he didn't notice her. Usually, what would happen when a man see a pretty girl they would try to help her and earn some points from her.

Some would even try to bed a woman that's as drunk as this one.

However, Wang Ling was none of these two type of men. He ignored her and went by her. Even if he didn't help her, other people is bound to see her soon enough. There should be people trying to find her so it doesn't really matter if Wang Ling helps her or not.

Passing by without saying a word, Wang Ling gave the woman a look before quickly leaving that place. He was too tired to deal with such uncultured people.

However, just as he passed by her. The woman suddenly became enraged for being ignored by a servant. She immediately raged up.

"You!! Useless servant, you dare look down upon a noble like me?"

The girl acted irrationally and raised her hands against Wang Ling. Her palms were filled with spirit qi, she was ready to slap Wang Ling on the face there and then.

Wang Ling saw this and his eyes turned to slits. Wang Ling didn't expect the noble girl to act like this. Feeling the dangerous intent being sent to him, his body reacted and moved so he can defend himself.

His fist struck forth and the crisp sound of flesh hitting another flesh was heard.
