The pain… Catrina remembered it very well.

How long has it been?

Was she even given a few years before receiving pain from her mother?

It had become more common than water, food, or anything else.

A few years of love, and an eternity of pain. Suffering, fear, despair, disgust…

The excruciating pain of her mother slaps, her flesh getting irritated, blood coming from her nose and her mouth, her teeth breaking… the pain of the hate of her mother, of her wicked frustrations, and the pain of having her entire body being played by strange men… the pain of being beaten to almost death several times through the weeks.

Aah… the Pain!

The sharp and fleshy lance pierced her spine, went across her innards, from her intestines to her stomach to her lungs, blossoming its sharp tip n the middle of her small breasts, like a scarlet rose, blood flew through the air.

Her body was covered in pain and blood.

It felt so… familiar. Almost mesmerizing.

Alice and Zehe went silent as they glanced at her.

Catrina laughed.

"Haha… Hahaha! Hahahaha! Geggoron-sama, my love, do you feel it too? The pain!" shouted Catrina.

Geggoron's Split Soul inside Catrina was slightly different as if his mind were contaminated by Catrina herself… though he was a wicked demon demigod, she seemed to have fallen into a greater abyss.

"Yes, Catrina, I feel the pain," said Geggoron's split soul, leaking his divinity all around Catrina.

Catrina smiled and glanced at Alice, she twisted her arms, her flesh, and bones, and grabbed on the lance tightly with her claws.

"Don't worry… this hasn't finished yet!" she said.

Alice, who had fallen into insanity and emerged as a new woman when she was bitten by Kireina, could only give a smile back to her.

"Good! That is what I like!" she said, manipulating her own blood and shaping it as countless lances, which flew towards Catrina, and impaled her from all sides.

"Can you take this?!" shouted Alice, shaking Catrina's body over the tip of her lance, her entire body leaking more and more blood. Then, she sent her flying through the air.

Catrina's entire body was constantly shrouded in darkness as she emerged once again through the air, extending her tongue as if it were hundreds of meters long and hitting the ground like a crazed whip.

Alice evaded in time while using her lance to intercept the attacks, meanwhile, Zehe floated around and used her barriers to defend herself, while releasing a barrage of meteorites made out of materialized shadow magic.

The sphere of darkness where Catrina was started to create more and more tongues, all of them crazily chasing her enemies with great voracity.

"She's growing stronger?" wondered Zehe.

"That is good though, I wanted a challenge! Didn't you, as well?" asked Alice, with a crazed expression.

Zehe chuckled.

"Fufufu, I suppose~," she said, extending her Aura and being less cautious about using her abilities. Her Aura shaped itself as shadow tentacles and fought against Catrina's 'tongues'.

Catrina then began to release purple chocks of lightning all around, while laughing eerily.

Alice used her sharp lance to slash the tongues into pieces, however, even the pieces were capable of moving by themselves as if they were snakes!

"Oh?"

The tongues entangled Alice's entire body, as they detonated!

Boom!

However, Alice became crimson lightning and freed herself before they exploded, resuming her charge against the tongues.

Zehe kept fighting off them with her aura while firing countless meteorites of materialized Shadow and Dark Attribute magic like a giant, car-sized meteors.

Suddenly, the dark and eerie mist shrouding Catrina slowly merged with herself, as she showed her new and healed body to Alice and Zehe, her body had been completely recovered back, but had mutated, from the wound that Alice caused through her spine to her chest, a giant mouth appeared, filled with countless sharp fangs and tongues that she used to fight… her entire body was naked, showing her pale purple skin, filled with scars. Her scaled tail had grown long, similar to a lamia tail, however, she still had her legs. Her broken arms were healed back but now covered in purple fur and scales, with gigantic claws.

Zehe glanced at the crazy girl's body.

"So many scars for such a young girl…" she muttered, she could not help but have some pity on her past. She seemed to have been wicked from the start, and it was not something that Geggoron influenced much, other than giving her the courage of finally going wild.

Catrina merged her Aura with Geggoron's split soul, generating a deadly, poisonous, and nightmarish ethereal domain that expanded like a mist. She shaped it into countless tongues covered in sharp claws, which she used to attack Alice and Zehe alongside her other tongues.

She floated through the air and sliced the entire buildings around with her attacks, quickly flattening the entire buildings in the vicinity, debris flew through the air.

Alice decided to jump into close quarter combat once again, converting her feet into scarlet thunder and then flying towards Catrina with her lance, which had already pierced her flesh once.

"Grotesque Spear Torture!" she shouted, unleashing a powerful series of consecutive stabs enhanced with her blood towards Catrina's floating body.

Catrina laughed as she used her tongues as weapons. Covering them into her deadly poison and then slashing against the attacks released, which were made out of crimson and dark energy.

From behind Catrina, Zehe appeared, activating the third eye in her forehead, she enhanced all of her capabilities and shaped her aura into giant claws, materializing them with magic and beginning to release powerful blows with the giant fists made out of shadows and darkness.

Catrina mutated her back and generated countless crimson eyes over her flesh, opening their eyelids and revealing the scarlet irises inside, they began to charge Divine Energy and fire scarlet lasers against Zehe.

Zehe shaped her magic Aura into barriers, and with the assistance of the Slime Clones alongside her, she could reflect attacks charged with Divinity to an extent by using the Divinity Devouring Skill Effect, which was being constantly conjured by Kireina's Slime Clones.

Then, Zehe used the barriers to push forward, she waved her stave as countless magic circles appeared above her, firing materialized magic in the shape of chains!

"Divinity-Sealing Sinful Chains!" shouted Zehe.

Flash!

"Ah!"

The shadow chains began to wrap around Catrina's tongues and body, tightly gripping her flesh. Each chain was covered in the Divinity Devouring Skill effect, sealing most of Catrina's attacks while consuming her already mutated body, which was infected with Geggoron's split soul Nightmare Divine Energy.

Catrina still had her Aura, which could not be chained. She used it to slash apart the chains while defending herself from Alice's spear.

She felt her chances of winning slowly decreasing, the thrill of a battle to the death. It seems that she had finally found what she was seeking in this life.

"Fleshy Spear Agonizing Puncture!"

Alice had decided to not use her crimson lightning offensively against Catrina as it would only get absorbed by her, but she still enhanced her muscles and reflexes with it, her speed was almost unmatched, and her sharp spear pierced Catrina's chained flesh, leaving deep and bloody holes that even pierced her soul, which was merged with Geggoron's split soul.

"Ggggaaaahh! Gaahahahah! Yes, keep going!" Catrina laughed, manipulating her Aura, and giving it her purple lightning capabilities, moving at almost the same speed as Alice!

"Oh? You're always filled with surprises, little kitten!" laughed Alice, receiving Catrina's attacks with her spear, several of them were able to bypass her and create bloody wounds all across her body. Even the Legendary Rank gear she was wearing began to break apart as it was pierced by Catrina's attacks.

Her claws made out of Poisonous and Nightmarish Aura, with the speed of lightning and Divine Energy were strong enough to make Alice vomit blood several times, however, she quickly recovered as the Slime Clones with her provided her with fresh blood from Kireina.

On the other hand, Zehe was using her Aura, shaping them as giant arms, and beginning to smash Catrina's body while it was chained. Enhanced by the effects of 'Divinity Devouring', she was capable of making her Aura pierce through the Divine Energy-enhanced flesh of Catrina and directly affecting her merged soul (with Geggoron's split soul).

However, Catrina only laughed, as she channeled the Divine Energy granted by Geggoron's split soul and conjured Nightmare Magic over the two girls. She mixed the spells with her purple lightning, making them fly at immense speeds like dark lightning instead.

"Nightmarish Lightning! Despairing Thunder of Nightmares! Nightmare Inducing Shock! Zapping Nightmarish Pain!"

Zehe decided to receive most of the attacks by expanding her Aura and expending large amounts of her Mana, as she had gained a bit of Divinity by drinking the special elixir given to her by Kireina after she completed a task in the Kingdom (Empire) System.

This pseudo-demi-divinity was enough for her to try out some stronger blows. Merging her Aura with her Magic, she released spells without the need of chanting, tentacles appeared from all sides as they blew away the nightmarish, black thunder.

However, some attacks reached Zehe but were blocked by her other dozens of barriers that she had over her body, already prepared for such things. She then shaped her Aura as a claw and sliced Catrina's torso, leaving deep wounds, leaking black blood.

Slash!

"Aaggh! Haha!"

Alice enhanced her speed with lightning and evaded them in time, manipulating the leaked blood from her wounds and creating countless weapon-shaped projectiles enhanced by Divinity Devouring that she used to pierce the wounded Catrina!

Zap! Slash! Slash!

"Ggaaaahh! Hahaha…!"

No matter how much pain was inflicted on Catrina, she would keep laughing as if it was nothing, even Zehe and Alice couldn't help but feel a bit of the thrill of battle and the enjoyment of a battle to the death with such a wicked individual.

Kireina's two concubines could not help but release small, playful chuckles as they decided to give it they're all.

"Catrina, you've gained my respect! Receive an attack with all of my power!" shouted Alice, already seeing how Catrina was in her last moments before imminent death, the split soul of Geggoron inside of her was already pierced multiple times, barely hanging on Catrina.

"The same for me! Little girl, it's time for you to have an eternal rest!" shouted Zehe, through the whole fight, she pitied Catrina and wanted to let her rest at last.

Alice and Zehe worked together, merging both of their Auras into one, a void of darkness and eternal crimson rivers of blood. From the void, the head of a grotesque monster appeared!

"What is that? Oh? Hahaha! Yes! Fight to the death! Use it all!" shouted Catrina, somehow freeing herself from most of the chains and channeling all of her Divine Energy and Mana, alongside her very soul and Aura, all into one single blast of powerful energy capable of splitting dozens of mountains!

The grotesque monster from within the void of Zehe and Alice's converged Aura was just their Aura, which was shaping itself to something similar to Kireina's transformation.

The creature made out of Aura resembled a fleshy being made out of pulsating meat, hundreds of eyes, scales, mouths, fangs, bones, and other disgusting fleshy things. The fiendish monstrosity opened its mouth wide as it began to channel an incredible amount of Soul Energy, Mana and Stamina.

"Transcendental Arts; Great Abyssal Demon King's Breath of Annihilation!" shouted Alice and Zehe at the same time, their eyes blazing with determination, as they channeled great quantities of their energies into the 'Art', which was, in fact, a convergence between their Auras, Techniques, Spells and other skills.

"Grooowwwl!" roared the grotesque Aura Demon, firing its breath capable of bringing annihilation.

"Let us go, my love, for the last waltz!" shouted Catrina, as the strange Geggoron's split soul, which had grown with different feelings and developed differently than any of the others by growing with Catrina's wicked and endlessly abyssal mind channeled the last of its Divine Energy.

"Yes, Catrina, let's go together," it said…

"Hahahahahaha! Divine Technique; Venomous and Nightmarish Blaze of Despairing Destruction!"

Both energies clashed against each other through the last struggle. Each one containing powerful energies mixing together endlessly… which one would bring destruction first?

Catrina laughed as she saw her attack slowly overpowering her enemy.

"Hahahaha! Yes, go! Go!"

Flash!

Zehe and Alice smiled.

"It was a good fight, Catrina, but it seems that Kireina-sama will triumph," said Alice.

"Indeed, it was entertaining… I hope that one day we can meet in different conditions, I would like to make you feel the warm, parental love that you seem to have lacked," said Zehe. One could fall her selfish for thinking something like this before killing Catrina, but she didn't care about such things, she liked to express her feelings no matter what they meant for others.

Catrina smiled and kept laughing, embracing Geggoron's split soul, 'her love' as the blast fired by Zehe and Alice suddenly began to devour her own attack. She, however, did not change her expression and kept laughing, and laughing, as the attack consumed her entirely.

Her burned flesh flew into pieces over the ground, and her soul and Geggoron's were twisted and broken apart into pieces, falling like broken glass.

"My love… finally, we can rest, for eternity…" she thought, as her mind was filled with the eternal void.

Zehe and Alice sighed.

"Well, time to recover the flesh and the divinity fragments for Kireina-sama!" said Alice, putting her hands to work.

Zehe glanced at the dark-colored piece of divinity, resembling a piece of broken glass.

"I wonder if she is inside of this… part of her soul…" wondered Zehe.

As she gathered the pieces, her mind was deep within her thoughts.

What was the soul?

What truly made one soul unique?

Were our thoughts and memories what made us what we are?

If those are lost, are we truly dead, even if our soul somehow remains?
