The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 501

"Alright people, it's time to finish our mission…"
Rin Chen who was looking through the windows of the room they were assigned to in District 21 spoke to the rest of the group;
"Are you ready?"
He asked as Ta Mi who was supposed to deliver the message stood and nodded as they both headed straight for the Core District with Su San, Pi Xi and Bai Fan whilst the rest of the experts were left behind…
The group arrived at the core district and after showing themselves to be core court disciples to the Enforcement Hall guards at the Sect Leader's residence, they were finally allowed in and within the reception area of the Sect Leader's residence which was an outdoor garden with a pergola at its center…
At the moment, there were six figures sitting beneath the shed having a conversation and the moment the group of five arrived they stopped their conversations before the sect leader spoke;
"I was told you have a message for me from Fei Hong?"
He asked looking around before his gaze landed on the little Ta Mi who stepped forward and then passed a scroll over to the Sect Leader…
The Sect Leader confirmed at first glance that there was no danger embedded within the scroll, and thus, he unwrapped it and read out loud;
"Sect Leader, the mission was a success; we were able to find Jun Tao, but unfortunately most of our sect seniors who left with him had already been killed by the Diamond Crust Mercenaries…" The Sect Leader began to read out for everyone to hear;
"The Diamond Crust Mercenaries was founded by three of the top Super Clans of the Empire; Chun, Xi and Shen, and their motives were to cause a friction between the Dogon Empire and the Jun Empire by attacking and robbing the Jun Empire merchants who are planning to come trade with the Dogon Empire…"

"What!?" The Fifth Grand Elder was the first to react to what was being read aloud;
"Afterwards, I was cornered and attacked by the Leader of the Xi Super Clan; Xi Kong and a man referred to as Old Man Bai of the Bai Super Clan, and whilst they thought I was dead, they leaked some information which backed up my above claims…"
"Xi Kong isn't the leader of the Xi Clan, is it?"
The First Grand Elder asked whilst the other Grand Elders shook their head to confirm he was correct…
"Xi Kong was the third generation Leader of the Xi Super Clan before Xi Gen took the reins…" The Fifth Elder explained;
"Isn't he supposed to be dead?" The Second Grand Elder asked whilst the Fourth Grand Elder replied;
"He was supposed to be dead 300 years ago, and even Xi Gen has retired to the position of a Patriarch whilst his son Xi Kun is the apparent heir to the Clan Leader position…"
"If it was XI Kong referred to the other man as Old Man Bai, then that means it was truly the Third Generation Leader of the Bai Super Clan…"
"If that's true and they are really planning a rebellion, then this is bad news; an extremely horrible news…"
The Sect Leader explained whilst Rin Chen and the rest of the group gazed at each other with stunned expressions when they heard Min Hong was actually attacked by two old ghosts who were three generations older than them…
Bai Fan on the other hand was simply stumped as he stared unblinkingly at the scroll in the Sect Leader's hands, unable to believe that his clan was truly planning a rebellion;
"With Jun Tao's help and some of the native tribes of the Land of Stones, we were able to bring down the Diamond Crust Alliance, and we came across an expert with a Nirvana power level technique named Bai Shaoxing-" The Sect Leader abruptly paused before looking towards the group;

"All five of you, return to your dorms…" Then he looked to the Fourth Elder;
"I and Fifth would be heading to the Imperial Capital to meet with the Crown Prince and Imperial Patriarch, you all should put up the Sect protective barrier at all times…"
"If things are going to turn out like I think it is, then we'll need to begin evacuation plans for all our disciples!"
"Unh!?"
"What!?" The other two Grand Elders were stunned by what was coming out of the Sect Leader's mouth;
"Fourth, have all our disciples outside the sect return, and put up the barrier immediately after; No one is to leave or allowed in!"
The Sect leader ordered with a strict tone as a solemn aura began to descend upon the area, forcing Rin Chen's group to leave immediately…
"I am entrusting you all with the lives of these kids, the time has come for you to be the Grand Elder they believe you all to be!"
The Sect leader added before waving his sleeves causing the space in the area to ripple and tear open;
"Fifth, let's go!"
"Be careful, Sect Leader!" The Grand Elders warned as the Sect Leader nodded before following behind the Fifth Grand Elder who had already jumped into the spatial tear;
'The brewing storms within the Empire is finally surfacing unh?' The Sect Leader thought to himself before leaping into the spatial tear which closed up instantaneously…
"You heard the man, let's get to work!" The Fourth Grand Elder took control as they all vanished from their spot leaving the garden utterly empty and quiet…
Meanwhile…
Miles away from the Sect…
At the entrance of the Sunfire City…
A well adorned carriage which was being escorted by three Nascent Soul expert, and was being pulled by two spirit beast which looked like the merger of a wild Horse and Ox just moved past the checkpoint…
One of these Nascent Soul experts drove the carriage whilst the other two stood on flying swords following it on either sides, and within this carriage were two figures; a round potbellied stubby man, and a lady who was the stark opposite…
The duo currently sat within the carriage with eyes that were lost or seemingly possessed, and in the man's hand was a seal; a mysterious mark which seemed to have been burnt into their palms…
Oddly, they neither nor spoke to one another, and it almost looked like they were both unaware of the other's presence, as the carriage sped along the road headed towards the direction of the Chun Super Clan
