The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 489

"It seems I am the only one excited about you coming home… Bully!"
She said with a pained and wronged expression before dashing into her room and slamming the door shut…
"I'm so sorry master, I didn't -"
"No it's fine Huan Ji, she is just very emotionally sensitive, and seems to like you a lot… She is also very strong and fast…" Min Hong praised;
"Yeah, that is the reason why I love her…" Huan Ji smiled whilst Min Hong and the Old Man simply smirked…
"Tough love unh?" Gong Yi asked as Huan Ji was finally able to stand straight but painfully so;
"That's just her playful side, after all, she is only nineteen…"
"But she does have a sweet, romantic side, and that is when her maturity blooms into display…" Huan Ji praised as he approached the opposing door…
"Hmm… It seems like you are very happy with being fisted in the guts…" Gong Yi commented with a bewildered expression;
"Wait till you see her punch someone she is angry at…"
"Eh? Hehe he, thanks but I'll pass…" Gong Yi broke out in sweat when he heard that…
The girl had just made a Saint Stage expert almost puke his gut out, and Huan Ji was calling that an affectionate play? Of course, he would obviously not want to see her angry…
Huan Ji opened the door and Min Hong noticed this place was basically a meeting area, specifically one where sensitive discussions are made, because not only were they soundproofing runes etched all over the walls, but there were also protective barrier runes etched around it…
Soon enough, the experts from Huan Ji's group began to file in one after the other, and once the burly man entered, he looked to Huan Ji and laughed;
"I gather you have seen Wei Nian…"
Ugh!
Huan Ji rolled his eyes, whilst Wei Nian simply ignored all of them as they took their seats;
"Leader, where are the rest?"
The burly guy asked with a frown, whilst the rest of the group also frowned at the realization, that their comrades who left with Huan Ji weren't present and it didn't look like they were coming either since they were about to begin a meeting without them…
Hu!
Huan Ji sighed with a pained expression on his face;
"Leader, where is Elder Huo and Chen?" Another expert asked;
"They're dead…"
Bang! Slam!
Two of these men couldn't hold back their reflexive shock as they slammed their palms on the table;
"Leader, why does it have to be the outsiders who have to answer this question?"
The burly guy was almost growling with reddened eyes as he stared daggers at Huan Ji;
"Hun Ku, know your place!" Huan Ji growled back at the burly guy as his cultivation flared up…
Instantly the entire room began to whip with aggressive breeze as the Old Man quickly sent a barrier of energy to protect Min Hong and Gong Yi from the rampaging energy that was billowing all over the place, but Min Hong simply sat there with his elbow on the armrest off the chair and his fist supporting his chin whilst he was looking at the entire scenario like it was some boring opera…

"Honey, you would have to at least explain how it happened, after all, you know how much Elder Chen and Huo means to this group, as well as the brothers that left with you…"
Wei Nian was also displeased by the fact that it was Gong Yi that had to answer such a question whilst their Leader [Or her partner] kept quiet like it wasn't his place to speak yet…
"Gong Yi, sit down…"
Min Hong spoke leisurely as some of these experts including the burly man looked towards what seemed to be the youngest person in the room…
"Little Kid, didn't your parents tell you not to butt in when adults are having a conversation!?"
Hun Ku growled at Min Hong as Huan Ji blanched in fear, turning his face sick purple as he bolted towards the burly guy;
"Huan Ji!.. Sit!" Min Hong bellowed as everyone within the room gasped in shock;
"D-did he- just address Leader by his name?"
"What's going on here?"
Most of these experts were looking at Min Hong a seemingly fifteen year old boy calling someone at least twice his age by name, especially when this person was the leader of their group…
"Master, I am very sorry for their insolence, they do not know any better…"
"If you want to punish anyone, let it be me since it appears I have failed in teaching them good manners…" Huan Ji bowed to the waist as he pleaded to Min Hong with his face to the floor;
"Huan Ji, it's fine… We don't have time to waste either since we have to return by dusk…" Min Hong spoke ever lazily whilst these experts kept looking at him with their mouths agape;
"However, that being said, I guess I have to clarify everything myself…" Min Hong continued as he turned to look at all these experts and spoke to them;
"I killed all your brothers, as well as your Elder Huo and Elder Chen…"
"Eh?"
"What!?"
"Honey, is he saying the truth?" The experts turned towards Huan Ji who simply nodded in confirmation;
"I don't care if he is just blabbing or not, but the fact that you returned without our brothers, and brought in two kids and one old geezer to come and insult us to our face whilst sucking up to them, I will have to ask; Who are you, because you aren't our leader?" Hun Ku growled in fury;
Huan Ji looked towards Min Hong and Min Hong nodded in ascent;
"We left to go capture more people who would give us a better chance when we finally enter the inheritance ground, but the first set of people we ran into was master here, and his group…"
Huan Ji began to explain everything that happened with their mission, including how the Princess had crashed their ship killing almost everyone within it in the explosion that ensued, as well as the gruesome and unexplainable death of Pirate Huo and the knockout defeat of Pirate Chen, and finally hi own defeat to a combo between Gong Yi and Xiao Gui…

But no matter how true his explanation was, it still sounded like a pure fantasy story to these experts and they were obviously not going to believe that a bunch of teenagers could actually take down seasoned experts like their Elder Huo and Chen like they were toddlers…
But just as Hun Ku stood up to interject once again, Min Hong suddenly looked over to him and warned;
"I know you are only concerned about the wellbeing of your group and you seem to be the one in charge whenever Huan Ji isn't around, and whilst I could make good use of this group of yours, I don't mind putting you all in your place, so sit down!" Min Hong was tired of the entire shenanigan;
They had come here in hopes of getting the information they needed as soon as possible and then visiting the Old Man's boss before returning to the flying ship and be on their way to their next mission destination…
But they have been here for over two hours now, and they haven't even begun to discuss the inheritance grounds, and Min Hong's patience was already wearing thin;
They have only three months to complete two missions located in two different regions far apart, and they would also need to return to the sect in that same amount of time, thus, he had no more time to waste;
"Eh? Insolent kid!"
"I think I will have to take over from where your parents have failed to discipline you!" Hun Ku bellowed as he released his own cultivation;
Boom!
The round table which separated all of them was instantly blasted into bits and pieces;
"Eh? Peak Awakening Stage?"
"Hun Ku has improved in his cultivation once again!?"
"Monstrosity… This is utter monstrosity!"
The experts around were all stunned by their comrade's increase in strength, and that only served to fuel Hun Ku's ego as his aura gathered around him to form the image of what seems to be a Titan which stretched his hands to grab Min Hong…
"Hun Ku!"
Huan Ji blanched in fear as he rushed towards the burly guy whilst some experts were stunned that Huan Ji was moving to save the attacker rather than the person being attacked, but Gong Yi simply smirked in ridicule;
"Hmph!"
It was a snort…
Nothing other than a snort, and instantly, the roof of the entire structure blasted into fine dusts as a gravity that was twenty times that of the entire planet descended on the room…
Min Hong then gazed on Hun Ku and the gravity pinpointed him from the rest as the titan image behind him was instantly flattened to the ground causing Hun Ku to follow suit;
Aarrgghhh!
Hun Ku also resisted as his aura billowed in defiance causing the titan image behind him to yell at the heavens;
"So noisy… Go to sleep…" Min Hong spoke helplessly;
Whi! Whi! Whi!
The gravity began to pulsate as the circle of gravity over Hun Ku began to slam on him in several bouts, hammering him into the ground which each pulsed that descended from the sky, before Min Hong then snapped his fingers;
Boom!
The gravity slammed onto Hun Ku like an entire planet and the floor yielded under this pressure as Hun Ku was slammed into the ground floor unconscious, with only parts of his unmoving body visible amidst the rubbles…
Min Hong then looked through the hole and blurted;
"You should have died two times over for calling me a kid and insulting my parents…"
"But I am magnanimous enough to not let Huan Ji lose another comrade…"
"Moreover, you might be useful to me as a body cultivator…"
Min Hong spoke like there was no one else in the room, or more like he didn't put anyone of them in his eyes…
All the experts within the room were still frozen to the spot with their jaws agape in utter terror as they stared at Min Hong with their brains being unable to find a word to qualify him;
'He didn't even move and neither did he use any shred of cultivation… Just the aura of his cultivation was enough to render a Peak Awakening Stage expert useless…'
The Old Man Chauffer thought to himself as he also looked into the pit and glanced back at the lazy looking Min Hong…
"This is a total drag…" Min Hong sighed as he frowned his face like these people were giving him unnecessary headaches;
"Alright, Huan Ji, get to it…" Min Hong ordered with a nonchalant wave of his hand;
"Yes master… thanks for showing mercy…" Huan Ji bowed once again before looking to the rest of his group with an angry frown;
"We are here to receive the information I told you all to gather about the inheritance ground…"
He growled, but they were all still shocked by the situation that just unfolded in their presence just now that their brain couldn't catch up with Huan Ji's request, but then Min Hong tilted his head and gazed at one of them, instantly, the expert blanched in fear and pointed repeatedly into the hole;
"~E-ev-everything you need is in his hands~" The expert quaked in fear…
