The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 482

"If the Desert Treasure Pavilion supports these kids, entering the two of their members entering the top ten would be a walk in the park…" Patriarch Bai revealed;
"Damn, we are having more hiccups and thorns than we can afford to overlook…" Patriarch Xi held his hand into a fist;
"But where are Patriarch Shen and Patriarch Chun when we need them!?" Patriarch Xi Kong asked agitatedly...
"I have also thought about these problems and I have sent word to them to meet with us here, so they should be arriving anytime soon…"
Patriarch Bai replied and just as he finished speaking, two youths who seemed to be in their twenties floated into the reception hall;
"Took you long enough…" Patriarch Xi greeted with a dissatisfied expression;
"Eh? You should know we aren't the Jun Clan who are very adept with Spatial Arts and Techniques…" One of the youths spoke nonchalantly;
"Moreover, we have the issue of our clan hierarchy to resolve too, so stop whining and let's get down to business… The Leader doesn't like to be kept waiting…"
"He's here?" Patriarch Xi blanched in terror;
"Hehe, who do you think the leader is?"
"Even if we all offered our Super Clans to him, it would still not be enough to see him unless he wishes to…"
"Alright kids, stop whining, let's get to the matter at hand…"
Patriarch Bai insulted the trio in front of him, and just like he expected, the trio stopped bickering with one another and took their seats before the entire hall went quiet once more…
"Patriarch Chun, you are the closest to the Leader, so you will put this discussion in motion…"
Patriarch Bai looked to the youth sitting opposite him who had a pale white skin with short haircut falling over his brows and asides from these features, he was an unassuming figure with no unique features to differentiate him from any other random person…
He was in an ocean blue robe with sky blue trims all over it, and he had this sort of lazy vibe to him which makes him even more unassuming…
He currently sat there, resting his elbow on his armrest and using his fist to support his chin, as he looked to the trio in front of him with a tired expression;
"We all know what we are here for, why do you have to make me the coordinator of this meeting?" He asked with a tired tone as Patriarch Bai smirked sneeringly at him;
"You could have begun the meeting with the little amount of energy you used to make all that statement, Cheh…"

"Well he is the host, so he should be the one to lead the meeting…"
Patriarch Shen who had white shrubby hair, extremely fair skin and small physique spoke whilst hinting at Patriarch Xi, he was very handsome and looked brimming with youth and energy;
"I can see both of you have yet to integrate with your meat sacs, so I will let you off this time…"
Patriarch Xi who was actually the strongest amongst everyone in the room took a deep breath to calm himself before leading the meeting;
"Alright, we are here to discuss the rest of the Top Ten Super Clans and identify our potential enemies amongst them, so that we can begin our plans of giving them enough problems that would prevent them from interfering with the Leader's plans…" Patriarch Xi began;
"We know our four clans within here are allies, and that leaves us with the Cui, Tong, Jin, Kun, Ken and the Desert Treasure Pavilion, so let us look into these guys…" Patriarch Shen added;
"Well, I and Xi Kong here have discussed the probability of the Cui Clan remaining as disinterested as they have always been in the affairs of the Empire…" Patriarch Bai revealed;
"Tong Clan are very strong but they hate doing battle all in the name of being righteous and peaceful, but I believe if push comes to shove that they would still side with the Imperials…" The lazy looking Patriarch Chun contributed;
"That's definitive… I also think the Ken Clan would support the Imperials too…" Patriarch Xi continued;
"That would be very troublesome though, the Ken Clan are known for their seals and runes, and whilst they can't be classified as Rune Masters yet, in the entire Dogon Empire, there is no one outside their clan who can manipulate and decode runes and seals like them, and that would be very troublesome to us…"
"The Kun Clan would remain neutral as usual, supporting whatever Clan becomes the next ruler since they have no interest in the throne or politics…" Patriarch Chun waved his tiresomely as he spoke;
"Then I am very much certain that we know about the wedding between the Jin Super Clan and the Desert Treasure Pavilion, so what I need right now are ideas as to how we can stop their merger from happening…" Patriarch Xi spoke as he looked to everyone in the room;
"Why don't we just capture the wife or assassinate the husband, or perhaps do both?"
Patriarch Shen blurted as the rest of the people in the room shook their heads helplessly;

"What!? Why are you all shaking your heads!?" The Patriarch asked with a displeased frown;
"If you were the Jin and the Pavilion, and you are planning on something this important, won't you think there is some clan out there who doesn't want it to happen?" The Lazy Patriarch Chun questioned;
"Of-course I would…"
"Then how secure would you think the main ingredients of this merger be?"
He threw another question and this time around, Patriarch Shen was speechless as he looked on with a bitter expression;
"I thought so too…" Patriarch Chun added after seeing his comrade become speechless…
"But I still think his plan has some reasonable aspects to it…" Patriarch Bai continued;
"I really fancy the assassination part of it…" He added as the rest turned their gazes to him;
"They would obviously eat, drink and be merry, so there is a very good chance that we can poison the couple; not before but during the wedding itself…"
"We can have poison darts do the job, place a poisonous pin into their seats, poison their food directly, or send it as a gift to them…" Patriarch Bai suggested;
"Security would be really tight on that day, and we might not be able to sneak past them unnoticed…" Patriarch Shen added;
"Then we would just hire those who can…" Patriarch Xi added with a smirk, as the rest looked to him;
"Then who might that be?"
"I have a descendant who is a member of the Ghost King Sect…"
"So I will simply talk to him and hire about four of their top experts, with my descendant, they should be able to sneak their way into the party via possession techniques…" Patriarch Xi revealed;
"Possession techniques?"
"Isn't that technique owned by Lu Tao of the Ghost King Sect?"
"How do you plan on obtaining it?"
The trio fired several questions at Patriarch Xi who smirked before responding;
"I will simply offer him an offer he can't refuse… Moreover, I believe he would be easily persuaded if we all put in a little effort…"
"Hmmm, Shaoxing alone can flip his entire sect alone if she is really interested in doing so, but the problem would be convincing her to do so…" Patriarch Bai added;
"Isn't she interested in Chun Hai's grandson Chun Zi?" Patriarch Shen added;
"That's true, that should be enough to motivate her…"
Patriarch Xi added whilst they all looked towards the Lazy Patriarch Chun who looked like he didn't know the conversation had reached his turn to give his opinion;
"What? You all can do whatever you want, but it must be Chun Zi's choice and he must not be forced into it, otherwise father would kill me…"
Patriarch Chun revealed as the rest of the trio blanched at the mention of Patriarch Chun Hai's father…
If they were referred to as Old Ghost because they have seen two generations pass in their lifetimes, then Patriarch Chun's father must be termed the 'Old Devil' since he has seen seven generations pass in his lifetime and now he was going to be awakened to come witness another entire generation…
The man was not only strong, and in fact, he was an extremely terrifying schemer with vicious means…
Even Patriarch Chu Huang of the imperial Clan feared being around the man; he was like a viper, who would appear harmless and uninterested until its prey lose their awareness and move closer before striking with the most venomous intent…
The man was the combination of the terms; Wolf in sheep's clothing and Green snake beneath the green grass…
There was a time when a certain expert angered him, and the man possessed a young man, dated his enemy's daughter for three solid years, before marrying the lady and entering his enemy's home, lived there for another year before initiating a bloodbath on a very random night, catching everyone off-guard…
People who could bide their time and wait so patiently for four solid years to kill their enemy despite being at such close proximity are people who should be feared…
He blended perfectly into the family and when they all lost their guards, he brought out a tiny dagger, and started with his wife, ensuring that no other person would find mercy in his sight till he was done with his bloodbath…
"Alright, since we have sorted the issue of the top ten super clans, what do we do about the others?"
Patriarch Shen changed the topic since the atmosphere was already getting eerie with the thought of Patriarch Chun's father who was the great grandfather of the Chun Zi they were talking about…
"You mean the Long Super Clan?"
"Yes, them…"
"Oh, they have a bigger problem on their hands at this point…" Patriarch Bai replied;
"Then shouldn't we be using this divide between them to our benefit?"
Patriarch Shen urged as the trio once again shook their heads helplessly;
"Do you even think at all?"

An Unbound Soul
When Peter suffers a too-close encounter with a truck, he finds himself reborn in another world. At first glance it is a perfect fantasy land. There's magic to play with, elves singing in the forest and a hyperactive catgirl neighbour. There's even a System that lets him earn skills and level up. But it isn't long before he notices that the world is far too perfect. Just why is everyone so nice? Can Peter accept the alien morality of this world's self-proclaimed protector, or will he seek to overthrow her? Set after the events of A Lonely Dungeon, a few hundred years after the rebirth of civilization, this is a story about an earthling falling into Erryn's new world and the subsequent struggles of himself and Erryn to understand each other. It's a slow paced slice of life, and while there are pieces of action, don't expect any immediate grand conflict between Erryn and Peter. Published here, scribblehub and amazon. A Fate Shaped by Magick
This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
