The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 468

"Do you need me to go rescue him?"
The princess spoke again and it was then Min Hong realized that she had spoken to him earlier but he had forgotten what she had asked or said, but the Princess wasn't sad or anything because she could sense Min Hong's mind was somewhere else, and someone who has a lot of responsibility like him would definitely have this sort of moments; after all, he still only 15;
"Oh, sorry… Nah, I can save him if I want to, but I want to see if his potential can surge under the pressure he is currently being subjected to…"
He replied as the princess grabbed Min Hong's arm and looked on along with him…
The little boy who saw the incoming 5 Peak nascent Soul experts with the aim to kill him, took several steps backward and blanched in fear;
"Cheh! Would I lose my life here today?"
Everyone around him were only Peak Dan Formation stage as they have been forced to attack from range so as to reduce the casualty level on their side, but now that 5 peak nascent Soul experts have sneaked past the Nascent Soul experts on their side, there were instantly made sitting ducks…
He tried to summon his Flame and Wind Dao but couldn't do much as his face darkened before turning solemn and then he actually advanced;
"Eh?" The Princess was stunned;
"Is he craving to die that badly!?"
She added in shock, but then they realized that the boy's cultivation suddenly become unstable;
"He's going to detonate his cultivation!"
The Princess blurted as she turned to look at Min Hong only to find out that she was currently hugging the empty air;
"Unh?"
She looked towards the spot beside her and it was empty, then she looked towards the boy who was about to self-detonate, and saw Min Hong standing in between him and the incoming experts;
"How-?"
She couldn't even comprehend the situation or how he had done it, but she was sure it wasn't speed, because she was literally grabbing his arm and there was no way Min Hong could have moved and she wouldn't have felt it, but here she was hugging the air whilst Min Hong was over 5 miles away from her;
'What technique is that, or could it be a divine ability?'
She thought to herself as Min Hong simply tapped his finger on the boys forehead, and the little boy who had never been exposed to any form of Spirit Realm energy felt it for the first time, and that surge of pure, potent Qi surged his cultivation and caused him to breakthrough into the Nascent Soul stage;

"You should leave the rest of the battle to your superiors now…"
"But I want to fight!" The boy protested;
"With what?" Min Hong interrupted him once again;
"By throwing away your life to severely injure a bunch of insect as these?"
Min Hong turned to the side and stretched his hand towards all of the incoming Peak Nascent Soul experts, and they all lurched to a halt mid-air, helplessly trying to move by all means necessary but being unable to…
The boy then looked at the situation and realized he had been really thinking immaturely;
The people who he thought he would have been able to kill would only end up getting injured at the expense of his life, when an expert like Min Hong could render them useless with just a simple stretch of a hand…
In the overall view of such a battle, his sacrifice would have been for naught;
"I am sorry for acting reckless… I thought if I could do something important in this battle, then perhaps our Dark Stone tribe would eventually recognize me and pay more attention to me…"
The boy slumped his shoulders and lowered his head;
"Never slump your shoulders or lower your head, it is a sign of defeat and is unbecoming of a true expert…"
The boy rose his head up when he heard that statement as it sounded extraordinary, but Min Hong was just as stunned as the boy was when the statement was made, and that was because he wasn't the one who said it but the Princess…
Then he revealed a proud smirk on his face as he gazed towards the Princess who was descending from the sky like a celestial goddess from the heavens of heavens…
"Why your actions might be reckless, I still admire your courage…" Min Hong continued, but then;
Arrghhh!
One of the experts who had been struggling to move mid-air then began to yell as he surged his cultivation in a bid to free himself from Min Hong's grasp, and his noise had distracted their current mood, and that pissed off the Princess a lot…
Water abruptly squeezed itself out of thin air, morphed into thousands of tiny swords and the Princess -without even looking at the expert- simply waved her sleeves, sending all these swords lodging straight into the spot where all of the expert's vital organs were located, killing him on the spot;
"Right… where was I?" Min Hong asked as the Princess gladly answered;
"You were saying something about admiring his courage…"
"Right… So, would you like to take me as your master?"

"What!?"
"Eh!?"
"Not in the manner of servitude but student to teacher relationship…" Min Hong quickly added when he saw the Princess and Boy's immediate expression…
"You want to take a disciple?" The Princess asked in shock;
'Did this guy think taking someone in as a disciple is a small matter that someone could just do at a whim?' She thought to herself;
But for Min Hong, this kid was a single piece out of his getaway plan of a puzzle…
Should his bloodlines complete their reincarnation in the future, one of them would obviously take his primal twin whilst the second would take his doppelganger, and the last one might go for his physical body…
But if he could still have a body within which he could house his consciousness through possession till he finds another body for himself, then that would be give him an opportunity to amicably discuss the safety of Little Fei and Daniel's consciousness, instead of them being destroyed by the primordial experts…
To the Princess however, she wasn't really supportive of it, not because he wanted to take a disciple, but because Min Hong had been burdened by so much responsibilities that his mind is beginning to space out, once in a while…
So, she felt taking another responsibility would be adding more to his burden, as she felt he should at least achieve some of his goals and free up his mind before taking in more responsibilities, and that was the reason she wasn't so supportive of his decision, but she still decided to keep it to herself since she loved him so much and would support whatever decision he makes…
"Um, can I think about it a bit?" The little boy asked;
"Sure, take your time, but off the battleground…"
Min Hong replied whilst making a shooing gesture at the boy to leave the concluding battleground…
Min Hong had also not expected the boy to accept straight away; after all, he might have a family, relatives or friends he had gotten so attached to, and would have to probably want to speak with before his mind can be free enough to leave them and start his apprenticeship under Min Hong…
Min Hong then turned around and look to the four Peak Nascent Soul experts that were still stuck mid-air as he abruptly flashed towards them and placed his hands on their head one after the other before searching through every single memory bubble they had so as to confirm his suspicion…
But even after two to three solid hours of searching he found no useful information, and by then the battle had already been concluded, thus he simply sucked them dry and dropped their shriveled bodies to the ground as they shattered like porous rocks…
They lot a total of 600 men on their part, and about 300 more injured, whilst the DCM lost 15,000 experts and six out of the nine top 10 strongest experts that came with them today…
The rest of the DCM experts had been sorted into 1,000 Peak Nascent Soul experts left, and 4,000 Peak Dan Formation experts as well as the writhing Gu Ming, Elder Fu and the mentally lost Bai Shaoxing who had not come to reality about the fact that she had been cursed and doomed…
"What's troubling you?"
The Princess asked; She seemed to know Min Hong a bit now and could easily tell when something was troubling him or he was simply deep in thought, and now she could tell that something was troubling him;
"Something's not right…" Min Hong responded;
"I can feel it… Something doesn't add up about all this…"
Min Hong added as he looked around with a deep frown, but after spreading his spirit sense and searching the entire area thoroughly, he still couldn't find anything out of the ordinary…
"What do you mean?" The Princess asked;
"If this entire situation was truly a move by Super Clans who were looking to usurp the power of the current rulers of the Dogon Empire, then there should be more to it than this…"
Min Hong explained whilst still searching around, but after not getting any answers, he looked to the trio he had grounded and glided over to Bai Shaoxing whose eyes were still lost like someone had sucked out her consciousness, leaving only her soul and body behind…
Min Hong didn't even need to do anything much as he simply latched onto her head and looked through her memory bubbles as he began to search for the relevant information he was looking for which would eventually cause everything to make sense…
Then after searching through her memories for about 2 more hours, Min Hong opened his eyes to see that the rest of the group were already back and were looking at him with smiles of victory on their faces, but when Gong Yi and a few other saw Min Hong's expression darken and look towards them, they knew something was surely wrong;
"What have you seen?" Gong Yi was the first to ask...
