The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 324

"Do you mean this yellow springs!?"
Min Qing said amusedly, as the gates of the netherworld appeared behind her, swinging open with a Jiaa!-sound...
Streams of souls burst out of the gates flooding over to Elder Nan Di and Jin Bing who had their mouths left ajar in shock, but Elder Nan Di was able to respond on time waving her sleeves, and sending a massive cyclone of wind towards Min Qing blasting the netherworld yellow spring water into nothingness before it continued towards her…
This cyclone without doubt was a little stronger than what the current Min Qing could handle, after all, the person who had launched it was a core court elder, but just as the cyclone reached a ten feet distance away from Min Qing, every onlooker abruptly heard three whistling sounds coming from the distance, and then everyone sensed their swords hum violently…
Schweein!
This cyclone without doubt was a little stronger than what the current Min Qing could handle, after all, the person who had launched it was a core court elder…
But just as the cyclone reached a ten feet distance away from Min Qing, every onlooker abruptly heard three whistling sounds coming from the distance, and then everyone sensed their swords hum violently…
Schweein!
The sound of sword cutting through air rang out as the cyclone was split right in the middle, splitting it in two equal halves before the sword Qi proceeded on towards Elder Nan…
Boom!
Elder Nan Di was sent flying about ten meters backwards as a massive stream of scorching flames surged out of nowhere and slammed into Jin Bing who was sent flying away a similar distance as her master before grinding to a halt, then three figures appeared beside Min Qing as Long Sha spoke nonchalantly;
"For every speech our queen has made, you will have to pay with a limb!"
Elder Nan Di felt a liquid flow through her left arm, and by the time she looked towards it, she noticed that the left arm of her robes was already dyed blood red, and blood was now dripping from her fingers down to the ground…

"What do you little brats think you are doing?" She bellowed in fury and slight pain…
"Nothing… Our Queen simply wishes to punish these low lives... Just let her have her way, and we will pay for the damages later…" Mu Li added...
"Your Queen!?"
Elder Nan said with an incredulous but ridiculing laughter as Min Qing looked at her with a retching frown, then she looked towards the direction of Kun Chao and Long Sha and ordered;
"I want that arm!"
She pointed towards the bleeding arm of Elder Nan, and both of them sighed as they stepped forward;
"You can blame no one but yourself for bringing this upon yourself…" Kun Chao said;
Zoom! Zoom!
Long Sha and Kun Chao crossed path as they approached Elder Nan Di, confusing her as Long Sha who was previously on her left was now on her right, and Kun Chao in attacking from a reverse angle…
Long Sha simply joined his index and middle finger together and slashed it like a sword as an arc of white Qi tore through the air, rippling the very fabric of space on its way, whilst Kun Chao conjured hell flames out of nowhere, before summoning three extremely sharp wind blades, sending the three wind blades ahead, the hell fire joined them along the way mid-air…
The hell fire merged with the three wind blades and became three fire blades;
"Hell blades of torture!"
Kun Chao muttered as the heat from this hell blades were causing ripples in space as it glided noiselessly towards Elder Nan…
Elder Nan saw the incoming attacks and shut her eyes tightly and as she snapped them open, her eyes began to bleed as the blood trailing from her eyes went down her cheeks to her neck and down her body, and just as these techniques were about to hit her, she bellowed;
"Lost Love Of The Desert God!"
Boom!
Sand began to surge from everywhere, and in fact, the sand surged over from as far as the surroundings of the Sunfire City…

Elder Nan Di wasn't a core court elder for no reason, and in fact the sands surged faster than these attacks moved, but despite all that, only a fraction of her technique managed to form before these attacks landed, but the part of Elder Nan's technique that formed was a massive hand, made completely out of sand, and that hand appeared in front of her, and by the time these techniques landed, they blasted the hand into dust…
Elder Nan was pushed back several meters by the ensuing explosion, and whilst she was wondering why these two outer court disciple's attacks were weak, she immediately got her response when she heard a whooshing sound coming from behind her...
But before she could turn around, a brief but sharp pain erupted from her left arm which was bleeding earlier, and when she finally saw the figure of what caused that brief but sharp pain, she saw Mu Li's figure…
Then Mu Li handed the arm over to Min Qing who incinerated it into dust with her demon flame…
Meanwhile, Xi Mei herself was already grey all over, and her skin had even begun to crack, and it was very certain she would die in the next five to ten minutes, but Min Qing had utterly forgotten her within the frigid water cauldron filled with Yin Qi…
About fifty kilometers away from Min Qing's current position was Min Hong, standing there hovering in the air with six elders on the ground, bleeding…
Two of them with their arms cut off, another two looking around whilst wondering what they were doing in the area, and another two who had been completely knocked unconscious…
But elsewhere within a hall deep within the core court district, sat two figures which the entire desert sun sect never knew were present…
"Your Highness!?"
The sect leader called out frantically, whilst Patriarch Chu Huang just kept looking with an amused and interested smile…
"Wait a bit more…"
He said as the sect leader's face turned a tad more solemn, whilst the youth who sat just below the patriarch was having a slight frown on his face…
Everyone within the hall including all the grand elders, bar Fifth were looking at Min Hong and his group through a screen which was displaying everything happening within the sect…
But without Patriarch Chu Huang giving them an explicit order to go and resolve the situation, none of them dared to move an inch…
They didn't even dare scratch their beards...
But back at the core court, Elder Nan Di was wondering why no one had come to punish these outer court disciples, or at least resolved the situation, and that was seriously troubling her mind…
Not to even talk of the fact that Xi Mei had just succumbed to her torture and even her body was so cracked that they could see some of her organs through her skin as she laid there on the sandy ground, dead!…
Elder Nan was now missing an arm, and though, her cultivation was strong enough to grow another, but all these things just happened in the presence of almost 70 percent of all the inner court and core court disciples…
But just as much as the situation was stifling for her, it was even deeper for the enforcement hall elders who had seen themselves get trashed by a so-called 'ordinary outer court disciple', they gathered themselves before threatening;
"Prepare to not only get yourself crippled but have your family or clan crippled also…"
One of the elders said with a pale expression whilst clutching his chest…

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
