The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 261

His voice at this point was already laced with tears and even Little Fei and Daniel for the first time kept their mouth shut and allowed him to wallow in his grief…
This moment would determine if Min Hong would rise from the ashes which was his former self and lead them to the peak and eventually be the savior of their entire Plane of Existence, or if this guilt he was feeling would eat him up and they would have no choice but to shove him to the side whilst they take on the role of controlling the main body from now henceforth…
"Do you know what man's greatest strength is and will ever be?" Old Man Li looked over to the self-loathing Min Hong and asked…
"No… But please, do tell?" "Knowing his limits in every situation and every point in time…"
Old Man Li answered but was very certain that Min Hong already knew that and would not easily shed the self-loathing aura which has now weighed down on him…
"They say; with great power comes great responsibility, but I guess I was just so stupid to get the power and ignore the possibilities of there being a responsibility that comes with it…"
"But thanks anyways, this meeting has truly been an eye opener, I hope to have more of this kind of talks in the future…"
Min Hong threw his head back and gulp the remaining content of what was in his cup as he stood up and staggered…
Shen Bing hurriedly stood up and grabbed one of his arm in support as Min Hong looked over to her seemingly intoxicated for no normal reason as Min Hong looked up to her with a smile as they both stumbled out of the hut…
"Give him a few moments, he will get over it… But there is something different about your serving today…" Little Wu responded to Old Man Li who shook his head and admitted;

"Yup I added a blend of the heavenly bliss flower just to get everyone deep in the mood, so we can truly understand the lengths and gravity of the situation we are in…"
"Oh, I was wondering why you took too long in the garden earlier… But this truly hits the spot, can I get another cup?"
"No… In as much as your tribe drinks a lot and live carefree lives, having any more than a cup of this brew might render you incapable for weeks, and I can't afford that…"
"We need you and your clan in this war, and he still needs you just as much…"
Old Man Li rejected as they both looked at the stumbling Min Hong who was then placed on the back of the Death Dragon before he and Shen Bing were both lifted into the air and taken into the distance…
Shen Bing knelt on the back of the Death Dragon like a true princess that she was as she placed Min Hong's head on her laps, looking absentmindedly into the distance whilst the breeze brushed past her hair…
The weather was slightly chilly and a subtle whiteness was starting to cover the entire 'Realm of Creations' as they glided across the slightly windy and chilly skies with no apparent destination in mind…
Min Hong who was current stunned by the sheer elegance, beauty and caring aura around Shen Bing at this point kept staring at her face for the first ten minutes of the journey, as his eyes would occasionally drift over to the plum and mature twin mountains that were hanging for their lives on Shen Bing's chest…
"If you want them you could just ask, you know?" She teased...
He compelling gentle voice drifted into Min Hong's ears, causing the redness that was already there due to the drink he just had back at the hut, to intensify…
Shen Bing saw this and without looking at his face all through, she began to caress his hair in a manner that made Min Hong feel extremely relaxed, as his worries melted into oblivion despite the chilly atmosphere they were currently in…

"You really shouldn't beat yourself up about this, you know… No matter how powerful we are, we will always face challenges that seem scarier than our worst nightmares…"
"But no matter what the result of these challenges turn out to be, we can still find solace in the fact that, we put our all into it…" She said trying to console Min Hong still without looking at his face…
"I am not bothered about the impending doom… in fact, I am even glad that it came…"
"On one hand, I now have a bigger goal in sight, and on the more important hand, I now know how much power I will need to possess, if I am to protect my family and loved ones…"
Min Hong sighed deeply, as his shoulders and body began to ache from the invisible amount of workload and responsibility that had just been place on his shoulders…
As if by instincts, the moment Shen Bing heard that statement, she then began to massage his shoulders, as Min Hong was slightly stunned at her level of understanding…
"So, what goals have you set for yourself, now that you have a second chance at returning to your home?"
Min Hong asked as one of his hands held onto Shen Bing's hands which was on his shoulders…
Shen Bing froze momentarily when this happened, but she didn't stop him and simply went with the flow as her face took a red hue…
This kind of scenario is the exact type two lovers have when they finally find a romantic time to get together…
After all, in this sort of serene, gentle and romance-inducing atmosphere, who would not feel the love in their heart tugged when someone asks them about their future plans?
Or perhaps, it was just the reminder that the world as they know it might end at any given time, and as a result, their bodies are simply responding to the desire to indulge themselves in every single one of their fantasies, after all, they had just realized that life as they know it, might truly be short…
"For me… Nothing." Shen Bing answered and just as she expected, her response really caught Min Hong's attention…
"Really? Not even revenge?" Min Hong looked at her face as he asked, but Shen Bing simply shook her head…
"There is no point in me getting any revenge… I had no love life, I had no true friend, neither did I have a loving family, in fact, I was actually stabbed in the back by them…"
Shen Bing uttered as her eyes gradually began to redden causing Min Hong to sit upright and turn to her…
"I guess when you are a royalty, you are not allowed to have any other life asides from fulfilling the wishes of the crown…"
"The only difference was that, after giving my all for the crown, the crown itself, still became the source of my undoing…"
"But it is not a story for today… You have heard enough already…"
"Perhaps, when the opportunity arises next time…"
Min Hong understood that aside from her caring attitude which caused her to not want to burden him with another sad story, Shen Bing, herself, was not willing to either delve into these memories, or he wasn't that close enough to her yet, to make her share this specific story of her life…
As a result, Min Hong could do nothing but sigh as he began to wonder why most royals always behaved in such a manner; Little Fei and Long Sha were live examples, but now there's there is Shen Bing too…
