The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 251

In less than a breath, the arrows were already a few inches away from the first elder who was forced to abandon attacking Min Hong and defend himself from these incoming arrows that were giving him a very deep menacing and dangerous vibe…
Boom! Boom! Splurt!
The First Grand Elder blocked the first arrow just in time with a thick wooden vine as he was blasted over a mile away before the arrow returned to Daniel…
But the second arrow followed close behind and he was not given enough time manipulate any Dao, and as a result, he was forced to receive it head on…
But, he was still blasted backwards another 5 miles, but just like the fourth elder, he wasn't penetrated because of the armor he wore beneath his clothes…
But despite not bleeding, he was still blasted about another five miles…
Then the last arrow came in, and it was unavoidable and extremely close, thus, the only thing the first elder could do was cross his arms in front of his head to prevent the arrow from piercing him, because he wore no armor on his head…
After all, he only left to see what was going on, he didn't prepare for battle…
But the arrow went straight into his strong arms and pierced both of them together…
Though, he felt a lot of pain, the first elder was not fatally harmed, but neither did the arrow need to fatally injure him, because the first elder saw his last 24 hours of memory wiped clean, like a plate being washed with bleach and an iron sponge…
Whilst the First Grand Elder was still wondering what he was doing outside and far away from the sect, Daniel had already nocked another three 'Forsaken Arrows' which he fired with even more zeal and anger…
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The three arrows left more significant shockwaves as they blasted towards the third elder who was still caught in a fierce battle with little Lin…

Boom! Boom!! Boom!
It was even more tragic with the third grand elder who got stabbed by all of the three arrows…
Peng! Peng! Splurt!
The third elder was blasted backwards 5 miles with the first arrow, whilst the second arrow bored a hole through his armor before the third arrow then slotted itself through that Chink In His Armor and impaled him…
Though, he did not die, he still had three days' worth of memory wiped clean from his head…
Then Daniel looked over to the Fourth and Second Grand Elders who were clearly shaken from the soul attack they just suffered, and nocked four arrows, dishing each of them two at a time…
The two arrows blasted the second grand elder back into the sand, but just as the last two arrows were about to hit the fourth elder, the space behind Daniel rippled…
But before anything could happen, Daniel nocked four arrows and fired them simultaneously at that point as he bellowed;
"I have been waiting for you to show yourself, Fifth Grand Elder!"
The first arrow blasted the space as the fifth grand elder was forced out of it, and then came the second arrow which the fifth grand elder deflected with a slap of his hands, but as for the last arrow, the fifth grand elder actually caught it in his hand before snapping it in two with his bare hands…
"Hehe, so you are a body cultivator…"
Daniel remarked with an unbothered and fearless grin… "Child…" the old man whimpered;
"You really have a bright future, and the fact that you can reduce my colleagues to this state, at your age, means you have what it takes to reach the peak…"
"But, you should also know when to hold back…"
"You can take the beast head with you and we will forget this ever happened…"
The fifth elder spoke amicably which surprised Daniel, but Min Hong on the other hand who had been watching and learning from the battle was greatly stunned…

Not just because of Daniel's valiance, but because Old Man Li just told him that the fifth grand elder was capable of killing him in less than ten minutes…
When Daniel got the information, he was severely unwilling to find out if Old Man Li's statement was true or not, thus he feigned respect as he spoke;
"I am not really an unreasonable little kid, you know?"
"I simply came outside to deal with my lightning tribulation and I sensed someone hiding within space…"
"My first instinct was to think they were here to disrupt my tribulation and kill me that is the only reason why I responded aggressively…"
"I don't think anyone within the sect knows, but I hate it when people discuss my fate without regard to me like they were the one who created me, not to even talk about doing all that in my presence…"
"This was why I had no shred of respect for them when we started the spar…"
"But looking at you, I find you very reasonable and if it wasn't for the fact that Elder Jiang of the outer court was the one who noticed me when I was yet to even enter the Dan Formation stage, I would have chosen you as my master…"
"What!? You mean that little punk Jiang who is not even talented in the cultivation world is your master?"
"Yeah, but you should know it is my maser we are talking about... though, I might have to sacrifice my life to render you useless, but, that is the last time you are allowed to address my master in such a tone and manner…"
Daniel spoke as if he was determined to lay down his life for the respect of his master that he doesn't even know his surname…
"Don't worry, as soon as we get to the sect, I will pronounce him a Core Court Elder, and you a Core Court Disciple…"
The fifth grand elder tried to act benevolent to Daniel, but never would he have imagined that Daniel had seen people who were much better in terms of acting, and had still murdered them because they had ulterior motives towards his people…
But Daniel simply sneered inwardly but replied outwardly with the most innocent and harmless expression and tone;
"Then I will put Elder Jiang's welfare in you generous hands then, Fifth Grand Elder…"
"Hmph! Disgusting little snake!"
The fifth grand elder yelled inwardly when he realized that he had been hooked with another responsibility…
He now had to ensure that a common and lowly Elder of the Outer Court like Hei Jiang would had now become an extra responsibility to him, from now henceforth…
"But as for me, I would like to move through the ranks in the right manner…"
"I wouldn't want the rest of the disciples to think a lowly, poor and weak cultivator like me was abruptly proclaimed as a core disciple…"
"Apart from the fact that it will raise some strong eyebrows, it might also tarnish the name of the sect… Thus, I wish to continue my stay in the sect like any other disciple…"
"Hmph! you just want to land the rest of the disciples in utter despair, if not why would you still want to hang around them, when you have the cultivation base power of a grand elder?"
The Fifth Grand Elder thought to himself with a displeased but hidden snort before nodding his head in concurrence to Daniels masked demands…

What is your answer?’ Tus heard the ancient voice that sounded like sandpaper as he stared at the altar with the land and sky frozen in motion. The words repeated themselves over and over again, forcing him to answer without the chance of taking it back. Armed with a borrowed sword and cheap armor that looked like wood, he said aloud without hesitation, “Yes!” The altar hummed, a green light flickered in the surroundings, and Tus ceased to exist.

Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com.
