"Little fellow, it is better you knock him out…he has already witnessed a great deal…he might get retarded if this continues…" The Void Soul Owl's voice echoed within Min Qing's mind.

"I'm sorry Min Hong…" with a light tap at the back of his head, Min Hong lost consciousness and fainted. ​​

"It's better this way…it's time to leave here for good." The Void Soul Owl flew over the Min Family castle and towards the direction of Min Hong's training ground. It seemed to want to escape through the Soaring Cloud Forest.

"Guess it's time. Honey, take our kids and stop them, I will buy you more time…" A figure amongst the Min Family sent a voice transmission to another person within the Min Family.

"Go! That bird would not stop you since you're an ally. Kill them both!" The other figure sent another mental message to a third figure, then it sent another mental message to a fourth figure. "Assist your brother. If he fails, then you complete the mission."

Swoosh! In that same moment, a figure bolted over from afar and descended firmly onto the back of the Void Soul Owl and truly the Owl merely looked over before continuing to flee.

Seeing who it was Min Qing's face became really gloomy, she knew that the Void Soul Owl didn't know this person wasn't friendly nor was it an ally.

It was the same person who had tried to obtain Min Hong's [Jade Primal Dragon Body] technique; Min Kong.

Then shortly after Min Yan arrived, then a lady who seemed to be their mother appeared. Malicious and killing intent radiated from their bodies as they approached Min Qing and the unconscious Min Hong.

On the other side of the battle a figure had already appeared behind elder Shin. Presently, elder Shin was fighting against the two 2 Star Nascent Soul supreme elders from the Wang Family and was already in dire straits, so when he turned to see who just arrived, he heaved a sigh of relief. It was Min Lei.

Min Lei created a massive fireball and Elder Shin also created a massive blizzard. But the moment Min Lei the fireball, elder Shin's face paled in fright because the attack was aimed at him instead and the close proximity meant that the attack was inevitable.

Boom!

The attack of Min Lei which was filled with the cultivation base of a 1 Star Nascent Soul stage expert slammed into elder Shin, but with years of battle experience elder Shin was still able to maneuver his blizzard to wrap around him, but nonetheless he was still heavily injured.

"Min Lei, so it was you!" elder Shin's face was as white as sheet and his life force was gradually weakening as he made a furious, betrayed and helpless expression.

Everyone looked over and saw what had just conspired and the members of the Soaring Cloud Alliance smiled knowingly and wickedly while the members of the Min Family flew into rage.

"Haha Haha…Min Lei, I knew you would not let us down. Don't worry, we will also keep our end of the deal and make you the head of the southern province…" Wang Tong laughed loudly as he remarked.

"Min Lei...You will burn for what you did!" Min Tian raged when he noticed this.

But Min Rou looked around and couldn't find Min Lei's wife and kids, then she looked up and saw that the Void Soul Owl was actually being delayed by the experts who have now caught up to it despite the sacrifices of the several Min Family members.

"Elder brother, help me!" She frantically called out to Min Bolin.

When elder Min Shui saw this, he ignited both his Nascent Souls and pushed back the experts he was currently battling. He dashed towards Min Bolin and tactically Min Bolin jumped up as elder Shui created a burst of wind that blasted Min Bolin into the sky.

Min Bolin was propelled at a breakneck speed as one of his hands latched onto Min Rou and in less than a breath, they were already in the vicinity of the Void Soul Owl. Min Bolin quickly replicated elder Shui's tactics and propelled Min Rou onto the back of the beast.

All this was happening simultaneously. From the moment the Void Soul Owl latched onto Min Qing to this current moment, only less than five minutes have passed since the Void Soul Owl was being delayed by the massive number of experts swarming attacks at it.

"You dare touch my Children!" Min Rou's enraged voice as she descended like a war goddess. Unleashing the 'first seal' of the [Art of Myriad Seals], her aura exploded as she waved her sleeves and violent wind pushed Min Kong, Min Yan and their mother from the back of the beast as they fell to their deaths.

She then turned around before leaving a statement. "Elder Yun, please leave and never pause or return. Stay by my children and guard them with your life. I'll be leaving them in your care from now on."

"Qing'er, promise me that you will both live and grow stronger. When the time comes and you have gotten strong enough, you can then return and avenge our Min Family." Min Rou finished with heavy tears streaming down her face as she looked at the Soaring Cloud Alliance experts swarming towards her.

She then flicked her finger as a storage ring flew and landed in front of Min Qing. She then stepped off the beast and self-detonated, taking a huge chunk out of the swarming experts from the Soaring Cloud Alliance.

Using this created opportunity, the Void Soul Owl spread its massive wings, then its wind intent surged as it dashed off into the distance.

Seeing this, the few members of the Min Family left laughed madly and began to self-detonate.

"If I am going to die here today, I might as well take you lot with me." A Peak Dan Formation expert of the Min Family self-detonated taking five experts of equal power along with him to hell.

"Hmph! Like I'm going to allow you to beat me to it." A friend of the Peak Dan Formation expert that just self-detonated snorted madly as he did the same, this time seven experts from the Soaring Cloud Alliance died alongside him.

Seeing this, other members of the Min Family began to laugh crazily as they ran into different groups of Soaring Cloud Alliance experts and self-detonated, taking several of them along to the grave.

Before long, it had become a competition of who could take more people along to the grave as several explosions began to ring out rhythmically like a rabbit triggering several land mines.

"Haha Haha Haha! You little punks shouldn't get all the fun, allow these old bones of mine to join you in this competition!" an elder in the Peak Dan Formation stage self-detonated.

This time the explosion was so massive that the fleeing Void Soul Owl who was already over a thousand miles away still saw it clearly.

"Hmph! You can take the Southern region if you want but don't expect us to give it to you at no heavy cost…" Min Tian spoke as he transformed into a blue line once again.

Seeing this Lu Chen and Wang Tong were so scared they went into full defensive mode. The self-detonation of an expert with a 4 Star Dan Formation aura and two elemental and one special law isn't a joking matter. They bellowed as they used their strongest arts.

"Earth Core Dome!"

"Life Water Shield!"

The Lu Chen and Wang Tong duo even burnt their cultivation to defend this massive explosion. But unexpectedly, Min Tian changed directions and appeared in the spot where all the Elders and few supreme elders of the Soaring Cloud Alliance was and exploded.

This shockwave and damage came in two forms. Firstly, lightning current blasted through a 40-kilometre radius, numbing and stunning all the Soaring Cloud Alliance within range and there were also few experts who were directly killed by the blast.

Secondly, came the burning fire. Over one thousand experts both in the Nascent Soul and Dan Formation stage were incinerated into cinders. Then lastly, was the sharp sword intent that shredded all surviving members within the blast range.

"Huoyi's beard!"

"Min Tian! You son of a thousand fathers!��

Lu Chen and Wang Tong felt something was off when the explosion they were awaiting didn't go off in their vicinity, so they quickly put away their defensive techniques but the sight that greeted them were too tragic and gut-wrenching.

Only Min Tian had taken over ten percent of the total Soaring Cloud Alliance experts. Then other self-detonations of the several Min Family members including the elders and the younger generation members have altogether taken another fifteen percent.

Then counting the total number of experts who had been killed initially over the course of the battle, the Soaring Cloud Alliance had lost about sixty percent of the total number of experts they brought here today.

"What in the world is this? A Min Family of about 1500 experts just took about 3500 Soaring Cloud Alliance experts with them…" Wang Tong mourned his loss in rage and utter disappointment.

"Suicidal maniacs! Not to even mention that the two lads also escaped along with that Nascent Soul Guardian Beast. We have truly cut the tail of a viper and let it loose." Lu Chen fumed. In fact, his face was so flushed, it looked like it had been set ablaze.

At this moment the only members of the Min Family left alive were, the currently grieving Min Lei, Min Qing, Min Hong and the Guardian Beast; Yun'er.

Every other member was dead, either by self-detonation or being killed by the Soaring Cloud Alliance experts.

"Damnit!" The expression of the Zhou Family Head; Zhou Long was extremely unsightly, yet he was still a bit relieved as only about forty percent of his Family members died here today.

"We actually allowed Min Hong and the other two to flee…Damn that Min Tian, may the Min Family be preferential torture in the netherworld!" He looked around and became really aggrieved. How was he to explain this when he returns to the other merchant tribes?

At a place around the edge of the Southern Region, extremely far away from the Min Family Castle, within a dense forest…An enormous figure descended into the cover of the forest trees with extreme swiftness.

This was the fleeing Void Soul Owl, who had the unconscious Min Hong and the Min Qing who had a storage ring on her finger whilst bawling her eyes out.

"Squawk!"

The Void Soul Owl released a deep squawk. If one paid good attention, one would be able to sense the deep sorrow, grief and extreme sense of loss rippling out of that cry.

"Elder Yun! Is everything alright?" the crying Min Qing stuttered as she inquired.

"It's done! Everyone is gone!"

"Min Tian. I promise to keep these little ones safe, even at the cost of my life. Then if we manage to find each other in the next life, I will gladly serve you once more!"

The Void Soul Owl or the Quicksilver Eagle mourned the death of the Min Family members as it recalled Min Tian and made a promise within itself.

Meanwhile, the unconscious Min Hong was actually having several memory flashes. These memories are that of the Min Family members who had given their lives to ensure his survival.

He remembered when he first got to this world. The young lady with the beautiful face that breastfed him for the first time, sang to him and took him stargazing every night.

A lady who trained him silly and nagged a lot, even though these naggings only filled his heart with warmth. His mother; Min Rou.

He remembered the solid back of an old man with flowing white hair and beards who singlehandedly chased away a dragon.

A man who had done things he would not normally do just to make sure he was happy. A man who trained and gave him guidance since he was very little. His grandfather; Min Tian.

He remembered a little girl who was matured in a childish manner. The same girl that took him through the Min Family Resort. The same one who helped him look for the high-level techniques and martial arts in the Min Family library.

The same one who scolded him when he wanted to defend his cultivation resource from another. His first cousin; Min Jiao.

He remembered his friends within the Min Family castle and those he had amongst the Death Guards.

He also remembered Min Bai and his family, these were people he hadn't really related with, but were also the first to give their lives when he was in dire straits.

It felt like a really long time as he kept having these little memories and flashbacks. It kept going until a voice reverberated all through his dreamscape and interrupted his reminiscing.
