The Legend of Min Hong Chapter 47

As he slipped into his room, Min Hong immediately shut the door before he collapsed against it and heaved a sigh of relief. Soon after, he walked towards his table and opened up the embroidered box.
"These pills probably cost about a hundred pockets of gold each…" Min Hong gasped. He had never seen such a huge sum of money all in one place before. Even when he was going out adventuring, he was only given about twenty pockets of gold, and he was even out for about a year.
Min Hong gleefully rubbed his palms together, as he retrieved the pills, then an abnormal and incredible idea popped into his head. "If the 'Eye of Myriad Universe' could use those motes of light to perfect a technique, can it also use them to make this pill even more perfect?"
But at this point, Min Hong knew that since it would be a wastage of time thinking about the possibilities, he should just go ahead and test out his theory. Arriving at this juncture, he closed his eyes and entered his sea of consciousness.
He once again found himself sitting on the embroidered futon hovering atop the altar within the energy barrier. There were seven glowing shadows still displaying all the techniques he had learnt so far, from the Rain Dragon Meridians to the Eight Vengeful palms.
He looked towards the night part of his sea of consciousness and connected his mind to four of those wisps and they came whistling over. He was a bit conflicted on how to bring them out of this place.
So, he just wrapped his mental energy around his hands and picked them up. When he opened his eyes in the outside world, he found the four wisps floating there right in front of him hovering on his palms. He was instantly delighted by this outcome.
He gently picked one of the wisps and placed it on one of the pills, instantly the pill was completely drained and its shell crumbled to dust.
Min Hong was shocked and almost threw up blood. Did this stupid wisp just used up his hard-earned Mid-grade pill? But then he thought; "Well then I'd just have to swallow the wisp."
But as he was about to pick it up, he noticed the wisp seemed bigger than the rest and was slowly shrinking. Within it was a round, ball like substance, completely different from the pill it absorbed.
It was like the wisp was incubating another pill! As the wisp kept shrinking, its glow continued to weaken, until it finally went out. A pill then fell, which Min Hong swiftly caught and when it fell in his hands, the pill was still lukewarm and it now had three shimmering lines on its body.
A wide foolish smile tore Min Hong's face as he was currently delighted to stupor. Even though it didn't know which grade this pill was, he knew it was far more potent than its initial counterparts. Especially the three lines undulating on its body.
After his gamble paid off, Min Hong immediately fed the three remaining wisps to the three pills and their shells crumbled off as usual, as an incubated version appeared within them. "This just keeps getting better!" Min Hong nodded in satisfaction as the thought.
He quickly ran to his training ground and sat cross-legged on the resting area. He swiftly kept one Qi Gathering and one Qi Trampling pill in his storage ring. Stilling his nerves, he popped the Qi Gathering pill into his mouth.

Even though he was felt regretful eating a person's life's worth of income, there was little he could do, as he wanted to raise his strength as soon as possible before the upcoming hunt tournament.
As the pill entered his body, Min Hong could feel a hot stream of potent medicinal energy explode within his body, they streamed through all his meridians, as he directed the energy according to Jade Primal Dragon Body.
His entire face was beet red as smoke started to rise from his head. As if sensing its kin, the Golden Crow tattoo on Min Hong's back started to absorb the hot liquid as it lit up.
Then came the energy from the sun, which also started to pour into Min Hong's body ceaselessly.
As Min Hong was approaching his pain tolerance limit the Moon Rabbit tattoo suddenly lit up and fused with the Golden Crow tattoo, it then began to spill the Yin Qi that Min Hong had absorbed from Min Qing a while back.
The coldness Yin Qi mixed with the heat wave from the pill and sun, birthing Yuan Qi which flowed into every part of his body. Every single cell in Min Hong's body fervently devoured these Yuan Qi.
After about half an hour, the energy from the pill slowed to a halt and the Golden Crow gradually halted its process followed by the Moon Rabbit. They defused themselves and Min Hong finally opened his eyes.
"Such a potent Medicinal effect!" Min Hong could clearly feel that he had broken through to the 6 Star King Stage, and there were still left-over Yuan Qi that was still been leeched by his organs, muscles and flesh.
After about ten minutes, the Yuan Qi was finally completely devoured. Min Hong then look to the second pill on his hands, which was the Qi Trampling pill and muttered; "Your turn." Without wasting any time, Min Hong popped the pill in his mouth and shut his eyes.
But the energy he was expecting didn't come, instead a heavy spiritual pressure exploded within his body, this pressure would be equivalent to, at least, an 8 Star Nascent Soul expert.
The pressure rampaged within his body, as Min Hong vomited a mouth full of fresh blood, then one of his meridians ruptured.
Sensing danger, and knowing there was no way to neutralize the pressure, Min Hong started to direct the pressure through the meridian path of the Jade Primal Dragon Body.
His meridians began to rupture one after the other, causing him immense pain, he could only grit his teeth and bit his tongue to stay conscious. But it didn't end there, his veins and arteries ruptured, followed by his tissues, then muscles, then skin…his bones also began to crack.
Sensing an intruder, the dragon tattoos in Min Hong's body roared to life as all 70 dragon tattoos swam all through the insides of his body, repairing the damages.
This destruction and repair took Min Hong to the extreme tip of immense pain.
His consciousness was about to slip away, but knowing full well that if he should black out at this point, the pressure might run rampant in his body and might end up killing him, he bit his tongue ferociously, threatening to cut it off. This pain kept him awake.
At the same time being awake meant he still had to face the current agony happening within his body.
This process continued for about thirty minutes, but the Healing and regenerative abilities of the dragon tattoos showed potential, as they didn't lose to the pressure in the slightest and even started to overpower it bit by bit.

Min Hong's body which was currently lying on the floor in pain had swollen, to the extent that his clothes had been torn and dyed red from the blood oozing out of his pores.
But, even in this state of extreme pain, Min Hong could feel that with every repair of his muscles or bones and the likes, their repaired version was at least three to four times stronger and sturdier than before.
In fact, even his repaired meridian channels were wider, thicker and more elastic than before. The pressure continued to wreak havoc whilst the dragon tattoos continued to fight back.
Looking at the dragon tattoos, some were getting crushed by the pressure, only to attach their particles to the rest of the dragon tattoos, making those ones bigger, more lifelike and more resilient than the ordinary ones.
After about an hour, the pressure finally started showing signs of depleting, as that increased the rate at which the dragon tattoos regenerated Min Hong's internal body parts. After the pressure stopped, Min Hong's body which was now swollen into a blob finally burst apart.
Then it revealed a brand-new body, on which blood, gore, tissues, muscles, and bone shards were scattered all around him.
He was lying still right there within his mess until the dragon tattoos finished their work, then a thudding and ragging sound started to vibrate outwards from his body.
Kaboom! Kaboom!
His heartbeats were thumping aggressively, then the dragon tattoos bulged out of his skin, as they roared out in defiance and hard-earned victory. This deep and vigorous roared jolted Min Hong awake, as his third eye snapped open.
Boom!
The instant it opened, his aura aggressively exploded outwards blasting the mess all around him into dust, which was swept away by the rippling shockwave.
The third eye then released some sort of mystical energy that gently flowed into his eyes. After about twenty breaths of continuous influx, the energy receded and his eyes finally opened.
His eyes glowed brightly like the sun. A part was green, as if representing the motes of light, whilst the other was gold, representing the Eye of Myriad Universe itself. Then the two colors mixed together and dimmed down. Now his eyes were a true sight to behold.
His iris was normal, white. But his pupils were like green from afar and once one gets close it looks gold. It was kind of dreamy with illusory properties, as if one's soul would be drawn into them if one stared at them for too long.
Hong stood up and wore a simple outfit, he headed to the Min Family Resort to go take a bath, because if Min Rou were to see him now, how would he explain what happened. Especially when she was still suspicious about him and fully knew the effects of the pills.
After about half an hour, Min Hong came out of the Resort, he was dazzling to the sight. He was now about 1.9 meters tall, he was still slender, but his flesh was giving off a very delicate but extremely resilient vibe.
His muscles bulged under his skin, as if trying to tear out of his body. His hair was now longer and inky black, with three shimmering lines of golden hair on each side, He had now banded his hair.
His skin was pale, but with a new gold tinge, which made his skin almost glow under the sunlight. He released his full body cultivation and aura and a wind kicked up, with some vigorously deep but faint dragon roars reverberating from within his body.
When he saw the amount of dragon tattoos that appeared on his skin, their size and looks, he was dumbfounded. Although there were only 60 dragon tattoos, they were thicker and more detailed. His body cultivation was saying 5 Star King Stage, but his aura could rival that of a 7 Star King stage cultivator.
Sensing these changes, he sighed smilingly and then muttered to himself; "Whew! I guess the spiritual pressure got to you guys too, unh! By the looks of these dragon tattoos, it seems they would be considerably harder to form from now on. That's a reduction in my training speed."
"But at least, the end result would be extraordinary, while my cultivation speed would seem less extraordinary. This was a win-win situation for me in the end."
"I should visit the Martial Arts Library tomorrow and get some powerful techniques to boost my fighting potential." Reaching this decision, he went home. But Min Rou had left, so he checked on Min Qing who wasn't around either, so he decided to sleep throughout.
The next day, he set for the library. One his way, many unfamiliar faces instantly greeted him as he passed by. Their overfriendly attitude caused Min Hong to feel disgusted, so he just put on a smile and calmly dismissed them and moved on.
The Martial Arts Library was located just beside Min Tian's residence, and it was a restricted area as well, accessible only with granted permissions.
On getting there, Min Hong saw a few guards there. But they clearly recognized him, and as a result welcomed him jovially into the premises.
Upon entering the Library, the scent of old books assaulted his face. He looked around and noticed that the place was quite large.
There were rows upon rows of scrolls and manuals. As this was his first time in this place, he was a little stunned at the sheer number of Martial Arts and Cultivation Techniques that were present in this place.
As he leisurely strolled across the library, his eyes glittering as they darted from one scroll to another manual. Low-grade Mortal Rank – Wandering Fists.
Mid-grade Mortal Rank – Landslide Kick.
Mid-grade Mortal Rank – Whirlwind Palm… His eyes feasted on everything they could land on. However, he had yet to see any High-grade Mortal technique or any Royal Rank ones.
"All the High-grade and Royal ranked martial arts are located in the deepest part of the library…you will find them there, not out here." Just as the thought crossed Min Hong's mind, a sweet voice suddenly echoed behind him.
"Oh! senior sister Min Jiao. You're here as well" Min Hong returned a smile as he saw her.
"Junior brother Min Hong, it seems like still waters truly run deep…" Min Jiao commented with a sweet smile on her face as she approached Min Hong.
Hearing this Min Hong could only respond with a dry laugh.
"Come, let me take you to where the good stuffs are. However, grandpa once told me that if one had not reached the Dan Formation Stage, it would be unwise to train Royal Ranked Martial Arts." Min Jiao scoffed as she brushed past Min Hong. Her slim and elegant body radiating subtle alluring temptations.
