Ye Tianxin shook her head. She had spoken rashly and without thinking earlier, which was why she had asked Du Juan that question.

“It was alright,” Ye Tianxin answered cheekily, looking at Du Juan.

Du Juan smiled when she heard that. “You saying that it was alright must mean that you have done well.”

“Everything is uncertain until the results are out.” Ye Tianxin pointed out.

“Is your first choice still Capital University?” Du Juan asked.

Ye Tianxin nodded. “That’s right. I want to become a diplomat. Elder Brother Li is very supportive of this as well.”

Du Juan was very busy. She had only chatted with Ye Tianxin for a while when someone else came to ask her something. Du Juan did not have time to talk much with Ye Tianxin, so she asked Ye Tianxin to read the script by herself.

Since Chunxue was there, the filming schedule was changed at the last minute.

Ye Tianxin did not have any scenes today, so she followed the film crew to where Zhou Hong and Chunxue’s character, Qin Shen, were going to film their scene.

Someone from the props department had already prepared the materials for the scene.

“Tianxin, do you want to have a chat with me?” Li Zhiwei asked Ye Tianxin. She had no intentions of watching this part of the film, and she felt slightly out of place.

“Sure.”

Li Zhiwei led Ye Tianxin to a café not far away from the set. She bought Ye Tianxin a strawberry-flavored ice cream cone.

“Tianxin, compared to yours and Yan Jun’s performance yesterday, you’ve improved greatly today.”

Ye Tianxin licked her ice cream. “Yan Jun and I read through the script together yesterday,” she shared happily.

“You’re quite hardworking, Tianxin.” Li Zhiwei said gently. “I heard from Du Juan that you’ve taken her as your godmother?”

“Yep. When Grandmother and I first came to the capital, Mother Du Juan took us in. When I was worried about my grandmother’s medical bills, she was also the one who gave me this opportunity. Mother Du Juan is my benefactor.”

Li Zhiwei was surprised by what Ye Tianxin had said.

She was a little jealous of Du Juan.
