Chapter 211: Ying Tao and Zhou Hong (3)

Ye Tianxin held her mobile phone tightly. She had wanted very much to speak with Elder Brother Li. She felt like it had been years since they last talked.

However, when the call went through, she did not know what to say. But she was just very happy.

“Elder Brother Li, why aren’t you speaking?” Ye Tianxin wondered if something was wrong.

“Go on, I’m listening,” Li Qingcang encouraged. He sounded happy, though he didn’t say much.

‘I want to hear you speak,’ Ye Tianxin thought.

Li Qingcang did not know that Ye Tianxin had a habit. She liked to record their conversations over the phone.

Sometimes, especially when she missed him, Ye Tianxin would listen to their previous conversations. Hearing his voice comforted her. She felt as if Li Qingcang was just beside her—she felt safe.

“Elder Brother Li, I only found out today that the characters, Ying Tao and Zhou Hong, are based on real people,” Ye Tianxin shared enthusiastically. “Furthermore, Zhou Hong also died in service. Say, do you think it’s possible that Zhou Hong and Ying Tao are my mom and dad?” Ye Tianxin wondered.

Ye Tianxin’s voice was soft. Whenever she spoke, Li Qingcang felt a yearning in his heart.

Li Qingcang’s brows furrowed as he listened to Ye Tianxin. “It’s possible,” he answered.

“It’s a pity that my mom’s diary only started after they have known each other for a hundred days,” Ye Tianxin commented. “There’s also a diary that she wrote about how they met and fell in love. I wonder where it is now… Elder Brother Li, deep down, I quite want this story to be my mom and dad’s…”

“Then act this story out like it’s your mom and dad’s, Tianxin,” Li Qingcang suggested.

“I will.”

Yan Jun saw Ye Tianxin talking on the phone from a distance away. There was a faint smile on her face.

She seemed to glow in happiness.

He could hear his heart beating loudly.

Yan Jun massaged his temples. It was all because of the dream he had last night.

“Ying Tao,” he greeted Ye Tianxin.

As soon as Ye Tianxin saw Yan Jun approaching, she smiled at him and gestured that she was on the phone with someone else and told him to give her a second.

Yan Jun sat down quietly on a chair beside Ye Tianxin. He heard Ye Tianxin speaking softly. When she spoke about something that made her happy, her eyes shone like stars.

When he moved closer to see her face closely, Yan Jun realized how beautiful Ye Tianxin was, especially when she’s smiling.

He was a little jealous.

He was jealous of the person whom Ye Tianxin liked.

What was so good about that person that Ye Tianxin would like him with all her heart and soul?

Ye Tianxin hung up and saw Yan Jun staring blankly into space.

“Zhou Hong, what are you thinking about?”

Yan Jun was a bit startled. “I was wondering if Ying Tao did live on in the end.”

Was she still alive?

She must still be alive.

She was pregnant with his child after all.

Ye Tianxin chuckled softly and said, “Perhaps she might have killed herself for love. The person dearest to her has already left, and she is all alone. How strong must one be to stay alive and live alone?”

Yan Jun stood up. His mind was somewhere else. “We are about to start filming. Are you ready?”

“I’m ready,” Ye Tianxin responded, full of energy.

Yan Jun and Ye Tianxin reached the set together. A staff member had already prepared all the props that they would need.

They were in a small room. It was Ying Tao’s hostel.

A poster of a pop diva was hanging on the wall of the hostel.

A single bed and a desk were also there.

The desk was covered with a flower-patterned cloth and a sheet of glass laid over the cloth. A radio and some other objects were on the table.

The rustic feeling of the room was very noticeable.
