Li Zhiwei’s hair was slightly curly, and she looked very elegant. She wore a vintage dress and a pair of calfskin shoes.

Du Juan stopped, smiling immediately. “Zhiwei, take Tianxin to study her character.”

Ye Tianxin and Li Zhiwei went to Ye Tianxin’s dressing room.

Even though Tianxin was a newbie, she was the female lead. As such, she had a private dressing room. The clothes Ye Tianxin had to wear in the film were all in the dressing room.

“Tianxin, have you studied the script?”

Ye Tianxin took out the script. She had treated studying the script as a form of de-stressing while preparing for the college entrance exams.

“Miss Li, I’ve read the script, but I’m worried that I don’t have any acting experience.”

Li Zhiwei took Ye Tianxin’s script. She flipped through it and saw that Ye Tianxin had used different markers to highlight the lines.

She could see that Ye Tianxin had studied the script seriously.

“Everyone knows how to perform,” Li Zhiwei told Ye Tianxin matter-of-factly. “You’ve probably also pretended to be sick to trick the adults when you were younger. Director Jin Xin saw Ye Tianxin and nodded before he went back to staring at the screen in front of him.

They were filming a scene in which the male lead was telling his family that he was in love with the female lead. The name of the lead character was called Zhou Hong, and the actor playing him was also a newbie Director Jin had found in the entertainment circles.

The lead character’s parents were played by famous and experienced actors in the industry. They had joined the set without taking any pay because they were the director’s friends and also because they did not have a major part in the film.

“Dad, Mom, I really like Ying Tao. I want to be with her. I will not marry anyone else but her.”

Ye Tianxin stared at the male lead’s face. She suddenly recognized him. He had played an insignificant character in the movie she and Li Qingcang had watched together at the theater.

He would become an award-winning actor in the future.

He would become famous in the entertainment industry.

“Cut!”

Director Jin Xin walked to the middle of the set with a worried expression. “Yan Jun, your emotions are wrong,” he criticized. “You are trying to portray how determined you are. The people sitting in front of you are your parents…”

Yan Jun stood by the side and humbly listened to the criticism.

“Take 10 minutes and we will continue after that. Yan Jun, come with me.”

Yan Jun and Director Jin walked up to Ye Tianxin. “Yan Jun, this is the female lead of our movie, Ying Tao,” Director Jin introduced Ye Tianxin. “She just arrived on the set today. You are a senior of hers, so study the script together carefully. You two are acting as a couple, so at least give me a feeling that you two are one.
