Ye Tianxin took out a notebook and a pencil and began to draw Li Qingcang’s back on a draft paper.

She was especially focused on drawing that she did not notice Li Qingcang approaching.

“Tianxin, what are you doing?”

Li Qingcang stood behind Ye Tianxin. Ye Tianxin was surprised, and she immediately put the notebook away. Her cheeks blushed, and she answered softly, “I…I wasn’t doing anything.”

“Let me see.”

Li Qingcang stretched out his hand.

Ye Tianxin was too embarrassed to show Li Qingcang her drawing. She hid the notebook behind her back.

“No, I’m bad at drawing.”

“I’ll just take a look at it.”

Ye Tianxin stood up. Her eyes were warm and bright. She must not let Li Qingcang know that she liked him.

The doorbell rang.

Li Qingcang opened the door. The manager of the housekeeping department led a waiter in, who laid down the food on the dining table.

Ye Tianxin glanced at their reflection on the dining room’s glass panel. Under the light, their shadows were right next to each other.
