“No!” Ye Tianxin disagreed firmly. “Xiaohui, the college entrance exams is tomorrow. Can’t you eat your skewers after that?”

Li Xiaohui flung Ye Tianxin’s hand away angrily. “Tianxin, I am treating you as a good friend of mine. That’s why I’m asking you to go and eat skewers with me,” Li Xiaohui explained. “Forget it if you don’t want to eat. I’ll find someone else to eat with me.”

Ye Tianxin watched as Li Xiaohui walked away. She called out for Li Xiaohui and emphasized, “Xiaohui, I am also treating you as a good friend of mine. A dialing tone could be heard on the phone.
