Chapter 178: Birthday Surprise (1)

Li Qingcang glanced at the clock on the wall. After some thinking, he immediately took a shower and changed into clean clothes. Then, he drove to the town of Jiameng.

About an hour later, Li Qingcang’s car pulled over at Ye Tianxin’s apartment.

He glanced at the time. There were only about 20 minutes left until midnight.

Li Qingcang took out his phone and called Ye Tianxin.

Upstairs, Ye Tianxin still had not gone to bed. She heard her phone ringing and checked. However, she did not dare to answer the call.

She pinched her face with all her might and squealed in pain. That hurt!

It was not a dream!

“Elder Brother Li…”

Li Qingcang heard Ye Tianxin’s voice. He was surprised that she answered his call.

“It’s so late,” Li Qingcang spoke. “Why are you not asleep yet?”

“I was asleep,” Ye Tianxin replied. “I heard my phone ringing, so I picked up…”

Ye Tianxin did not sound like she had just woken up. However, Li Qingcang let it pass. “I am downstairs,” he informed Ye Tianxin. “Could you come down?”

“Yes. Yes. Yes,” Ye Tianxin responded eagerly.

Ye Tianxin was afraid that Li Qingcang would not hear her clearly, so she uttered the word three times.

Important things must be uttered three times.

“I shall wait for you then.”

Ye Tianxin hung up and was very excited. She took one look from the mirror and used her hand to fix her hair. Then, she looked at her nightgown. It seemed a little see-through.

She hurriedly put on a knitted cardigan over her nightgown. Then, she opened the door of her bedroom quietly before skipping downstairs eagerly.

She saw Li Qingcang leaning against his car from afar. He was wearing a camouflage T-shirt and pants. His hair was short, and it made him look very active.

“Elder Brother Li…”

Ye Tianxin was wearing a pair of pink slippers. When she ran, her white skirt and her long hair swayed.

Ye Tianxin ran up to Li Qingcang and hugged him tightly.

“Happy 18th birthday, Tianxin,” Li Qingcang whispered to Ye Tianxin.

Li Qingcang hugged Ye Tianxin back with a slightly odd expression on his face. He gently broke away from their embrace.

“Elder Brother Li, I am so happy to see you!”

Li Qingcang helped to steady Ye Tianxin. “I came here before midnight to personally wish you a happy birthday.”

Ye Tianxin’s ears were slightly red. She was so blessed.

She was so blessed that she felt as if beautiful fireworks were gracing the skies.

“Elder Brother Li…”

Ye Tianxin did not know what she should say to Li Qingcang. She just looked at him and felt that all her love for him was about to flow out from her heart.

“Be good. Go upstairs and go to bed.”

Li Qingcang thought that it was already very late for Ye Tianxin. Ye Tianxin had to go to school tomorrow and she needed all the sleep that she could get.

Ye Tianxin could not bear to part with Li Qingcang. She wanted to stay with him. She cherished every second that she was with him.

“Elder Brother Li, are you hungry?”

Li Qingcang had just finished a mission and he had not even had the time to even drink a glass of water before he came to visit Ye Tianxin.

He was not hungry before this. However, he was now that Ye Tianxin asked. He remembered he had not taken anything since returning from the mission.

“Wait for me.”

Ye Tianxin said before she went back to the house.

Li Qingcang looked at the slender and innocent figure running away from him. He suddenly realized something: Ye Tianxin had grown up.
