Mayor Di had already been informed about the stupid act his wife had committed on his way to the school.

When he saw Ye Tianxin, he immediately walked towards her. “Oh, Tianxin. Are you okay?”

Ye Tianxin smiled softly and replied, “Mayor Di, it’s nothing serious. It’s just that your wife had slapped me in the face and damaged my reputation. I hope that your wife will apologize to me in front of the entire class.”

“Dream on!” Wu Cailan yelled. She would not do such a thing. That was impossible. She was firm.

Who did Ye Tianxin think she was?

She was just an illegitimate daughter who didn’t even know who her father was!

“Wu Cailan, shut up!” Mayor Di reprimanded his wife.

Mayor Di dragged Wu Cailan over to him and looked at her furiously. Wu Cailan was very much upset.

“Hubby, she is the one who is wrong,” she spoke meekly. “If she hadn’t seduc…” She had not even managed to finish saying the word ‘seduce’, but Mayor Di’s expression did not change.

“Shut up! Let’s go. Apologize with me!”

Mayor Di used to think that his wife was somehow useful. But now, it seemed that compliments had gone up to this woman’s head that she thought she was above everybody else.

He could have walked down a path that would lead to wealth and glory, but this woman was about to ruin it all.

Did she know what kind of benefits Ye Tianxin’s and Jing Entertainment Group could bring him?

“I am not going to apologize,” Wu Cailan refused. “Absolutely not.”

Mayor Di was enraged. “Apologize or I will divorce you!”

“What? You want to divorce me?”

Wu Cailan was shocked.

She struck Mayor Di.

Her son had run away from home, but her husband wasn’t even bothered looking for their son. Instead, he was going to divorce her because she had simply hit that fatherless brat!

“Yeah? Tell me honestly, Mr. Di, is this brat your illegitimate daughter?”

“You’re out of your mind!”

Mayor Di was furious. He dragged Wu Cailan, pulling her wrist.

Wu Cailan was dragged to the entrance of Ye Tianxin’s classroom. The students stared at Wu Cailan. They were all eager to witness what she would do.

Mayor Di let go of Wu Cailan. He looked calmly at Wu Cailan, whose expression was filled with resentment. He then said, “Wu Cailan, have you thought this through?”

Being together for almost 20 years, Wu Cailan had always thought that her marriage was a blissful one.

But today, she realized that her dignity could not measure up to this man’s career…

He wanted a divorce.

Just because she had slapped that fatherless brat?

Wu Cailan didn’t want to enter the classroom. She wanted to tell her husband to go ahead and file for a divorce, but she didn’t dare to.

Compared to living together with him, Wu Cailan’s dignity was more important.

It was a pity that she did not have the guts to do that.

Everything that she had today was because of him.

If they were to get a divorce, she would have nothing.

She would lose her job.

She would lose her son.

She would lose her husband.

Wu Cailan walked up to the podium slowly. The students in the classroom were watching her.

Ye Tianxin entered the classroom as well.

Ye Tianxin stood in front of Wu Cailan. When she saw the smirk on Ye Tianxin’s face, it annoyed her so much, but she couldn’t do anything. Wu Cailan felt as if she was going mad.

She was the devil.

She must be the devil from a deep and dark place.

“Ye Tianxin, I am sorry… I apologize for slapping you earlier. Please forgive me!”

Wu Cailan’s words were monotonous and dry. Her apology did not seem sincere at all.

Mayor Di, who was standing at the entrance of the classroom, coughed. Then, Wu Cailan bent down resentfully. Her dignity shattered completely at that very moment.
