Chapter 112: Jing Zhichen from Jing Entertainment Group (1)

“No need. This is the only movie she will film. She will go to college after filming it.”

Li Qingcang briefed Jing Zhichen on several issues. He was afraid that Tianxin would be mistreated when he was not around.

Tianxin was a simple girl from the suburbs. She could be naïve to the inner workings of show business. Li Qingcang wouldn’t let the darkness of the world touch her.

Jing Zhichen took note of all the things Li Qingcang told him. Since Li Qingcang personally tasked him with Ye Tianxin, he would naturally do a good job.

“Bro, don’t worry. I will definitely take good care of her. You can hold me responsible. Not one mosquito could go near her.”

Li Qingcang knew that while Jing Zhichen looked dubious, he was a trustworthy person. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have handed over such an important matter to Jing Zhichen.

The two sat for a while inside the café. Jing Zhichen left the two young ladies and went to have supper with Li Qingcang before sending him home.

The next day, the sky was brighter.

Li Qingcang wore his uniform and got into a car parked outside. He went to the hospital first, walking on a familiar path to the ward.

Ye Tianxin was still asleep.

He walked up to the bed and reached out to cover Ye Tianxin with a blanket. Then, he put a laptop on Ye Tianxin’s desk before leaving quietly.

Grandmother emerged from the room when he was about to leave. She greeted him and said softly, “Qingcang, have a safe trip. Be careful.”

Li Qingcang nodded and answered, “Grandmother, I’m going off. You have to take care of yourself as well. Tianxin’s still asleep, so I won’t be able to say goodbye to her.”

“Alright.”

Grandmother stood by the window and watched as Li Qingcang got into the car.

Her heart was heavy.

Sunlight shone into Ye Tianxin’s room. She opened her eyes lazily and stretched her arms.

She seemed to have had a good dream last night.

Despite having a good dream, she didn’t remember what it was about when she woke up.

“Oh. What’s this?” Ye Tianxin wondered as she looked at the box.

She picked it up and examined it closer. It was a new computer. She hurriedly put on her slippers and went to Grandmother’s room.

“Grandmother, did Elder Brother Li come by?”

“He stopped by in the morning. He looked very handsome in a suit. He saw that you were sleeping, so he didn’t wake you up.”

Ye Tianxin made a sound of frustration. She was sad to miss Li Qingcang.

“Grandmother, you should have woken me up!”

Grandmother just smiled and did not say anything.

Ye Tianxin washed her face and prepared to accompany her grandmother for her check-up. Grandmother could already get off her bed and walk around, but Ye Tianxin wouldn’t let her do much activities. She and the nurse pushed Grandmother in a wheelchair to do a series of examinations, which were only completed at almost 11 in the morning.

When the two returned to Grandmother’s room, a man was waiting outside.

Jing Zhichen turned around and looked at Ye Tianxin. She was wearing a purple sleeveless dress and a pair of nude ballet flats. Her long hair was tied up into a ponytail.

There was a faint hint of sadness on her beautiful face.

“Are you Ye Tianxin? I am Jing Zhichen. This is my card.”

Ye Tianxin gestured for the nurse to help Grandmother into the room. She and Jing Zhichen sat on the sofa in the living room to talk.

“Please take a seat, Mr. Jing.”

Jing Zhichen sat down and glanced at how Ye Tianxin was sitting. She sat demurely, her legs were crossed and her back was straight. She looked very dignified and elegant.

Just by looking at Ye Tianxin, Jing Zhichen wondered if she was really from the countryside.
