She stared at the results in silence, and then she looked at Li Qingcang blankly and remarked, “I don’t get it.”

Li Qingcang took the report from her. His brows furrowed as he scanned through it. He then informed Ye Tianxin, “As expected, you’re not his daughter.”

When Ye Tianxin heard this, she gradually loosened up. “I’m not…I’m not…I’m not Lu Jijun’s daughter. But if I’m not his daughter, then who’s my father? Why does he keep insisting that I’m his daughter?”

“No,” he replied truthfully, for he knew that the DNA report had already revealed that Ye Tianxin was not his daughter.

“But, to my eyes, you are my daughter because you are her daughter. I’m doing this for your own good.”

Ye Tianxin laughed when she heard Lu Jijun’s explanation and suddenly felt strange.

“What? She’s not your daughter?” Qin Lili gasped. Ignoring the guards, she dashed over to Lu Jijun and began to shake his shoulders as she yelled at him, “Lu Jijun, are you insane? How could you take a random stranger as your daughter? Don’t you know how upset Qingxin was?”

But Lu Jijun waved her off so hard that she fell to the ground. “Shut the hell up!” he roared.

At that moment, Lu Jijun could only feel hatred towards Qin Lili. ‘If she hadn’t foolishly taken this upon herself, Tianxin would never have thought of taking a DNA test,’ he thought.

“Lu Jijun, you’ll burn in hell!” Qin Lili shrieked as she sat limply on the ground. She felt like weeping, but her agony was too deep for tears. All along, she had thought that Ye Tianxin was her husband’s illegitimate daughter. That was why she went to the hospital, where she eventually lost her rationality and committed such a foolish act. Even until now, she still could not understand why she did what she did.
