Lu Qingxin’s words chilled the air in the hospital ward.

With an aching heart, Gu Yancheng walked over to Lu Qingxin and stood behind her. He placed his hand on her shoulder.

Gu Yancheng held Lu Qingxin by her shoulder to lend her support. The handsome man’s brows furrowed. His eyes were full of pain.

“Brother Yancheng, I don’t want my father to feel so terrible. In his heart, he had always missed Auntie Linlang and Sister. Father had always wanted Sister to live with us. More so now that Grandmother is sick, and my sister is still a third-year senior in high school.”
