Chasing After My Wife Chapter 161

It was really a blessing in disguise that Cielo wasn't able to answer Travis when he called. Her excuse sounded real.
Only she knew what an ordeal she's been going through. She stood up and sat on the opposite couch so that she'd see Travis if he'll ever come out. She didn't want to be taken aback like earlier.
She dialed another string of numbers but she didn't call it. She was still hesitant and a bit worried. She really can't stop herself from worrying.
He took a long breath and let it out before pressing the call button. She waited for her to pick up but the phone just kept on ringing. She hung up and dialed it again but there was no one.
"She must be busy." She murmured while she dialed the call. She let it ring and waited for the voicemail box. When she reached it, she left her a message for Winter to call her back when she's available.
After an hour, Savannah finished cleaning the items and Jillyanna was also done eating. The both of them had changed their clothes and were ready to go out.
"I'll just stay here since Travis and the other four guards will be coming with you." Hawk told Savannah when they were outside the house. "Be extra careful."
"Hn. Take care of the house while we're gone." Savannah responded before leaving a kiss on his cheeks. "I'll go now."
She left instantly and ran to the car that Travis and Jillyanna will be using. She sat on the backseat silently.
"Are you getting familiar with the things earlier?" Jillyanna asked. "You're going on a mission starting tomorrow, right?" she added.
"Yes. I hope it will be quick." Savannah answered. Jillyanna smiled at her and shifted her eyes to Savannah's phone that she was holding.

She pulled out her phone and sent her a message. Travis didn't know what transpired but he was sure that the two of them were sending secret messages.
When they reached the mall, Jillyanna grabbed Savannah's hand and led her to men's clothing department.
"Wifey, are you sure you're holding the hand of the right person?" Travis sulked when she just ran off with Savannah, neglecting him all of a sudden.
He watched them check on clothes and other things. Savannah would sometimes show something to her on the phone before grabbing another clothes.
To make up for her lies earlier, Jillyanna was going to buy a gift for him. Savannah was also buying a gift for Hawk and some dresses for herself. She needed those to match up her accessories.
Savannah bought a shirt and shoes for Hawk. She included a shirt for Valkyrie, too. After that, the two of them looked for watches.
Jillyanna bought a watch for Travis and another one for herself to match with his.
"You can engrave the name of the person on the back of the watch ma'am. Would you like me to put on the name of the receiver?" the sales attendant informed her.
"Hn. For the men's watch, please write this word. For the woman, please write this." Jillyanna told her and gave the piece of paper back to the lady.
"You're staking your claim already. Why don't you marry him instead?" Savannah asked in a whisper. "I can tell that you love him and he loves you. What's stopping you from taking the step?"
"I'll let him know when I'm ready." Jillyanna stated. She wasn't completely free yet. She's got so many secrets and she didn't know how to start saying it.
Travis was taking a phone call so he didn't know that Jillyanna bought something for him. He didn't receive notifications from his bank so he thought that she just accompanied Savannah to buy something.

In actual truth, Jillyanna used her spare card when paying for the items which was why he didn't receive any notifications.
When they finished buying the things, it was Savannah who was holding the shopping bag containing the watches.
"You didn't buy anything?" Travis asked her when they got back to the car.
"Nope. I didn't find anything interesting. I just helped Savannah with the things she needed." Jillyanna stated.
Travis just nodded his head and focused on driving. His eyes were on the road so he didn't see the exchanged of secretive smiles between Jillyanna and Savannah.
They didn't spend too much time in the mall. They were gone for two hours and came back as soon as possible. "Come and meet me at the backyard with your accessories after half an hour. Don't let anyone know." Jillyanna whispered to Savannah before walking towards Travis.
Savannah stopped on her track and watched her disappearing back. She was confused why she wanted to see her accessories but she still did it anyway.
"You're back." Hawk uttered when he saw her with several shopping bags. "What are these?" he asked.
"Ooppss! No peeking. I am going out for a while. I want to practice using the accessories again. Don't come out this time. I'll give you a surprise when I get back."
"Okay." Hawk responded obediently. He's got complete trust in her so he's got nothing to worry.
Savannah picked up the box which wasn't really heavy and came down towards the backyard.
On the other hand, Jillyanna was having a problem with Travis. He wasn't letting her go if she's not going to kiss him. Not just the usual peck but a French kiss!
"This is your punishment for ignoring me earlier." Travis stated with a sad face. "You were always with Savannah and you didn't even buy anything for me."
"Can we do this when I get back? I promise I'll give you what you want."
"Okay."
'Eeh? He agreed?' Jillyanna frowned for a moment. She didn't really think he'd agree.
"You can do whatever you want to do now. Don't forget your promise. I'll be staying in the study room." Travis even pushed her out of the door.
He was really confusing her.

All the government leaders had known about it beforehand and had made an announcement, so there was little strife and instead excitement to loot the dungeons that the Change had created. Kyle Anders was incredibly excited when he saw his starting skill, called Exponential Mana Regeneration, but his excitement quickly waned when he realized it was almost useless with his starting mana pool of twenty. He had nearly given up hope on being a mage when his family got him a new skill for his 18th birthday. Suddenly, with his mana pool expanded because of the skill, Kyle’s mana regeneration shot through the roof. But while humanity worked hard to loot dungeons and increase their skills and stats, Change was coming, and peace cannot last forever. The story is currently on haitus. (This story is a work in progress. As the first story that I have ever written, the beginning, especially the first ten chapters or so, needs heavy editing. I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)
