Chasing After My Wife Chapter 107

After their lunch, they all went back to the company for the scheduled meeting. They only have few minutes left but he didn't worry about it since he prepared everything before they went out for lunch.
"Are you bringing her inside the meeting room? That's a stressful environment, you know?" Diego mentioned to them when he came up with his laptop.
Jillyanna was sitting on the couch while playing with Travis' phone. "I can handle it."
"Aigoo! You wanted to much to escape from him but now, you can't even bare to be separated. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Love indeed is a strange thing." Diego was clearly making fun of her but Jillyanna just rolled her eyes.
She was checking on her accounts and Diego kept annoying her. "It's a strange thing alright? At least, I can be with Travis openly. How about you? Cheska had to pretend as a couple with someone else just to protect you. Are you even a man?"
"Why are you guys so mean to me? I'm thinking of a way too, okay? Stop hitting my sore spots." Diego complained with a sad face.
Even though he kept making fun of his situation, he knew he needed to do something about it. Only that, he needed to keep in mind the effect of his actions towards the business of his best friend.
Jillyanna saw him in a daze so she snapped her fingers in front of Diego's face. "Don't think of complicated things. You just have to fight for her and stake your claim. Travis will find another way to solve his business."
Diego smiled upon hearing her words. He was glad that Travis found an honest woman. She didn't sugar coat her words and didn't like hiding from anyone.
Travis stood up from his seat and picked up his laptop. He approached them and interrupted their conversation because it was time for the meeting. "Stop your chitchat for a while and let's go to the meeting room."

Diego and Jillyanna stood up at the same time. Diego came out first followed by the sweet couple. Travis was holding her hands, showing the people around who she belongs to.
When they got inside the meeting room, there were several shareholders awaiting them already. Zachary was also present with Wynwyn who needed to send in some reports regarding their signed artists.
Travis placed his laptop on the table and led Jillyanna to a couch behind his chair. "You can sit here or if you want, you can sit beside me."
Jillyanna shook her head in refusal. "I am fine here."
"Okay. If you feel sleepy just let me know." Travis reminded her and placed a kiss on her forehead before turning around to sit on his chair.
Diego was seated on his right side who kept smiling like an idiot. He was delighted to see the shocked and surprised faces of everyone inside the room.
"Let's begin the meeting." Travis stated and everyone opened their laptop which contained the outline of the meeting and some statistical data.
Aside from Diego, Zachary and Wynwyn, everyone couldn't focus on the meeting because of their curiosity.
They couldn't help but wander their gazes back to Jillyanna's direction, who remained calm and focus on the phone she was holding.
"Stop looking at my wife. What will I do if she ran away because of your obvious stares? Focus on the meeting." Travis snapped at them which made everyone looked away from Jillyanna. Travis turned to Wynwyn and asked her to start the presentation of her monthly report.
After his declaration, everyone calmed down and focused on their agenda. They only wanted to confirm the rumors and Travis just dropped the bomb right in front of them. He wasn't really low key with his relationship.

Jillyanna would raise her head from time to time so that she can see what's going on. She wasn't really interested in their meeting but she wanted to know how he's doing in a meeting room.
Half an hour passed since the meeting started and she didn't hear any argument from anyone. She had always expected that a meeting of a big company would end up in a heated arguments because of disagreements and opposing opinions but, her imagination didn't happen.
She found Travis typing something on his laptop again and sent it. Not even three seconds passed, she received a message from him on his phone. She opened it and saw a string of words.
"This monthly meeting is boring." that was what he sent her. Jillyanna smiled and typed to reply him.
"Fighting! You chose this so do your job. I will be right behind you."
"Yeah. You are right behind me."
Reading their conversation she felt a little funny. Her statement turned out to be a little silly since she was literally sitting behind him but she knew that he got what she meant.
The meeting continued and she felt a little sleepy already when the clock strikes at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
She stood up from her seat and walked to him. Everybody stopped whatever they were doing and looked at her.
"I want to get some milk. Do you want me to bring you coffee?" Jillyanna asked him in a whisper but since it was silent in the room, everybody heard her.
'We want coffee, too.' they all cried out to her mentally but their faces remained calm. To everyone, the monthly meeting is the most important yet the most boring meeting as well. It all made them feel sleepy.
Travis nodded her head in agreement. "Ask someone to carry it over here. Don't scald your hands." he reminded.
Jillyanna nodded her head and made an 'OK' sign with her hand before getting out of the meeting room.
"Boss madam, do you need anything?" it was one of the men that was following them all day long. He was assigned to guard the door of the meeting room just in case Jillyanna or Travis needed anything.
Jillyanna nodded her head and asked him to follow her. In the same floor, there's a spacious pantry where employees often take their breaks.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
