Chasing After My Wife Chapter 90

Travis opened his mouth to say something but he didn't where to start. He sighed and stood up to get the paper bag brought by Cheska and gave it to her. There's warm milk and soup.
"You eat while I talk. You and the baby need food. You can't eat heavy meal for today as per instruction." Travis started and opened the lid of the insulated bowl containing the soup.
"I won't eat anything from that doctor." she was being childish this time but, so what? She didn't want to have anything to do with that doctor.
Travis smiled as he stirred the soup with a spoon. "I asked her to buy this earlier so you can eat something while we wait for Hawk and Brown. Technically, this is from me. I just asked her to ran an errand for me."
"Fine."
She sat on her bed with her back leaning on the headboard. Travis was also sitting on her bed, not so close to her, just enough so he could feed her.
"I am serious in pursuing you, not because of our child, not because you have the same name as jill, well you are her so that doesn't matter anymore but because it's you. It can be said that you are the third woman who's very important to me. My mother, Jill of the past and Jill today." His voice would sometimes tremble and shake. Jillyanna just listened to him carefully, opening her mouth time to time whenever Travis fed her the soup.
Travis opened the warm milk and gave it to her before continuing. "In the business world, there are people who wanted you to go down. Right now, I am dealing with Cheska's stepfather. We never wanted this to happen but they didn't like the fact that he wanted to marry his daughter off to someone unknown and he didn't like Diego since his father is his rival. I pretended to be her boyfriend."

"Why does it have to be you?" Jillyanna asked with a raised eyebrow. Her annoyance was showing on her face again.
He chuckled and reached out his hand to rub her head gently. "You don't really have to be jealous you know. We are just friends."
"Who said I'm jealous? I am just asking! Stop imagining things." she rolled her eyes at him and drank the milk. 'Really! So annoying!' she added mentally while watching him over the rim of her glass of milk.
Travis waited for her to finish drinking. When she put down the glass, a mustache of milk was forming on her upper lip. Travis used his thumb to clean it which made Jillyanna stiffened on her place.
He licked his thumb to clean it since there's no tissue around. "Sweet."
Jillyanna was in a daze looking at him. When he looked at her, she shifted his gaze away and pretended not seeing anything but her face was so red and she was feeling hot.
"Continue with your story." she reminded him without looking at him. When he fed her, she would only look at the food, not his face. Travis didn't tease her this time else, she might flare up.
And because she wasn't looking at him, she didn't know that Travis had a gentle smile while watching her eat. "It wasn't you that I mean on our conversation. It was Cheska. Her father isn't letting his guard down yet so we're planning to make a fake engagement ceremony. However, Diego disagreed to that because of you. He thought you'd be angry and would leave me."
Jillyanna raised his head and looked directly at his eyes. Sincerity and love can be seen clearly in his gaze but she refused to acknowledge it. "Are you still planning to continue that fake ceremony with her?" she asked, her face devoid of emotions, making Travis unable to tell what she's thinking.

"I won't. I'll think of a different plan to stop her father and I will stop this pretend game as well." he responded as he got closer to her and whispered. "I'll do all these if you stay with me. If you leave, I'll continue to pretend as her boyfriend."
"It's okay if you won't stop." she stated and put the glass down on the table. "I'm not hungry anymore."
"Do you still hate me?" he still asked even though he knew the answer.
Jillyanna took a long breath and let it out. "I still hate you. Maybe not much just a little bit. And, I want to say thank you for looking for me and for taking care of me. I am sorry for causing you trouble as well. I'll think of a way to repay you in the future."
"Hey stop it. It feels like you're planning to escape again. Let me tell you, I am not letting you go. You can hate me, you can punch me, kick me or anything you want but you are not allowed to leave me. Your family entrusted you to me. Understand?" Even though she felt confused why he suddenly got mad she still nodded her head.
"Wait! Why am I being entrusted to you? I can perfectly take care of myself." she snapped at him when she realized what he just said.
"It's because..." he prolonged his statement while leaning closer to her, "...I am Travis Madrigal, your future husband." he stole a kiss from her forehead again and moved away as quick as he can.
Jillyanna rubbed her forehead as she glared at him. "You are so hateful!"
"I'm sweet. I'm caring. I'm thoughtful. And I love you." These might be the reasons why they entrusted you to me.
"No. You must have put some spells in them." she retorted with a helpless expression since there's no way she could ask her second family for help now.
"If only I have spells. I would put them on you so you wouldn't think of leaving me again." Travis commented while throwing the disposable utensils she used.
"Do you think I will like you if you're doing this to me? I want my freedom."
"Isn't it better to have someone beside you compared to doing everything you can on your own?"
Jillyanna kept quiet upon hearing this. Indeed, she had been doing her best to repay her second family for taking care of her. She wanted to earn for them and she didn't want to cause trouble for them.
These past weeks, all she brought them was trouble or worry. Lucian had to constantly monitor her after the incident two years ago. Cielo had to check her accounts for any threatening messages or blackmails. They were not able to relax because of her.
Jillyanna felt a little upset but she still tried her best to feel calm. "Okay. I'll stay with you. No matter where I go, you should be with me. I don't want anyone else as substitute. I won't trust anyone else but you. So you better not shatter my trust this time."

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment. Amir: A Short Horror Story
"My throat became dry; my tongue felt like sandpaper scraping against the top of my mouth. My mind became fuzzy. I had no chance of survival against this, this thing, and It was toying with me. It seemed to see the fear in my eyes and laughed, the metal sounding voice screeching like nails on a chalkboard. " I wrote this when I was young, and I haven't touched it since 2019, so don't worry about it.
