Chasing After My Wife Chapter 88

Even if she wanted to argue with him, she learned her lesson not to get so emotional or she'll lose her baby.
"Call me if you need anything, okay?" Travis reminded her once more.
"I know. I know." she responded but she also moved slowly to her side so that she can go back to sleep again.
Becoming a pregnant woman made her crave more sleeping time than usual. She get so tired easily and she wanted to sleep all day long.
"Good night wifey."
"Good night."
Travis smiled at her before closing his eyes to sleep. Something good came after such unfortunate event. If it was before, she would have spit fire on him just because he's called her 'wifey'. Now, she's tolerating him.
Jillyanna didn't bother with him anymore. She must be hating him but she's not someone who won't feel guilty.
These past days, whenever she sees the dark circles under his eyes, she would feel guilty and annoyed at the same time.
She tried erasing every unpleasant things in mind before she closed her eyes, to sleep once again.
The next time she woke up, the sun was shining bright and someone was talking outside her room.
The door was opened a little and she could see a woman, who's voice was familiar to her, scolding someone.
"You should know that pregnancy is very delicate! You can't let her feel so much negative emotions. Don't argue with her! You should indulge your wife! These little things should be known to you! Even if you didn't expect to be a father this soon, you should've researched at least when you found out!"
It was the woman who kept on talking, not letting the person butt in. She seemed really angry to the person in front of her.

"I'll be careful next time."
She raised one of her eyebrows when she heard Travis' voice. She can't be mistaken but, she didn't call for him or make any noise.
"You should be! I heard she tried running away from you before. If you don't want her to run away again, you should treat her better. No secret as well. Surprises, specially a negative one, aren't good for her." The woman spoke again with clear concern for Jillyanna.
When the woman turned around, she happened to see Jillyanna who was looking at her as well.
"Your wife's awake!" she tap Travis' shoulder lightly and opened the door to get inside.
Jillyanna smiled when she saw who it was. It was the doctor who helped her with the check up before.
"It's nice to see you again doc." Jillyanna greeted with a warm smile, knowing that Travis was scolded by her earlier.
"Well, I'm not happy to see you here! I am so mad that you are in this situation because of this man!" Cheska stated with her eyes glaring at Travis. "It's a good thing that you're safe now."
"Thank you for your concern." Jillyanna responded with a faint smile.
"Since you've checked her already and she's fine. You can go away now. Just visit her when she's fully recovered." It was Travis who spoke while pushing Cheska out of the room.
"So rude." she commented though she still left them alone.
Jillyanna was just sitting on her bed while Travis was fidgeting in front of her. "Do you want to eat something?"
"I just want to have milk and corn crab soup. Have you eaten?" Jillyanna responded to him.
Travis moved closer to her, heart racing in case she'd flipped her own switch and get mad at him. "I haven't. I was waiting for you to wake up. I'll get someone to send us food here. Do you want to go to the bathroom?"

"Hn." she nodded her head slowly with hesitation. However, she really need his help for the mean time since she was feeling dizzy and week. "You can walk me to the bathroom and I can do the rest."
It was a simple request but it made him so happy that she's depending on him. "Our baby is safe but the doctor said that you mustn't move around so much for the mean time until you fully recovered."
She didn't say anything to him in response. In fact, she was feeling guilty for what happened. It wasn't really his fault but she didn't have anyone to vent her anger on. Well, he was partially at fault just the same as her but, she shouldn't have blamed everything on him.
Thinking about these things, Jillyanna felt annoyed again and she really wanted to kick him. "You're annoying, you know."
"Why? What did I do this time?" Travis asked with so much confusion reflecting on his face. He was just taking care of her and yet he was still labeled as annoying.
"Nothing. I just feel annoyed sometimes whenever I look at you or when I think of you."
"So you're also thinking of me?" he teased her with a grin on his face, reflecting the joy in his eyes.
"It wasn't a positive thought so stop dreaming."
She reached the bathroom door and Travis opened it for her. "I'll wait for you here."
The room she was in was a VIP room and as expected, the bathroom was also of luxury. You wouldn't think that you're in a hospital at all instead, you'd think you're on a hotel for vacation or some sort of relaxation.
Jillyanna didn't take that long. She went out after five minutes and saw Cheska talking to Travis again when she opened the door.
'You said you'd wait for me. Liar!' she yelled mentally at him but her face didn't change in expression.
Travis saw her walk out so he ran to her as soon as he can but when he's about to hold her for support, she slapped his hands.
"Don't touch me. Go and talk to her. I don't need your help." she said with a gritted teeth as she walked back to her bed slowly on her own.
Travis still insisted to help her even if she would slap his hands all the time. "You don't have to be jealous of her." he whispered just enough for her to hear.
She turned to look at him with her fiery gaze and pinched his face. "Don't imagine things, okay? I'm not jealous."
