Chasing After My Wife Chapter 87

"We had a bit of an argument." Travis answered simply. He didn't want to go over what happened because it only caused him to feel more guilty. It was a good news that nothing happened to the baby.
Lucian pulled his wife close to him while watching Jillyanna's face. "Thank you for taking care of her. Whatever transpired is a problem between you and my sister. We will not intervene or meddle with your issues."
"I'm sorry I broke your trust. It was really unexpected and I didn't know this would happen." Travis responded to Lucian. His face was full of worry and guilt. He looked so exhausted and haggard, too.
"Is this about you being a Madrigal?" Lucian asked him nonchalantly. Travis looked at him with a scrutinizing eyes. "We didn't know it was you at first. We knew of a person who hurt her in the past but we didn't know it was you until I received the piece of evidence you gave."
"Why didn't you tell her about me?" Travis asked. There was no judgement or blame on his words. He was merely curious as to why Lucian didn't speak anything to him or to him.
A sigh escaped Lucian's lips. He sat on the couch found in the room with Cielo beside him. He can't let her go or she will confront Travis again.
"I wanted to tell her but it is not my right to do so. Aside from that, I didn't think she'd want to know you. And on top of that, we didn't know you're the person she'd hook up with. If I knew, I would have stopped her." Lucian responded.
"So many things have happened. I still have many things to explain. I am just letting you know, I am not giving up on her."

Sky and Cielo just looked at him. Lucian smiled as he squeezed his wife's hand. Alex just rubbed his wife's shoulder as he listened to Travis.
"We are entrusting her to your care. We'll go back for now and please contact us when she's awake." Sky stated with a faint smile.
They wanted to stay there and watched over Jillyanna but, it would be awkward specially that an unresolved problem was brewing between their daughter and him.
"Do your best." Alex whispered to Travis when he passed beside him. Travis was stunned at first but he still smiled at the man who acted as Jillyanna's father all these years.
"I will be going back as well. Contact us when there's something you need. Don't forget to eat." Hawk reminded him before going out.
"I'll process the hospital procedure for you before going home. Just stay with your wife here." Valkyrie informed him and followed Hawk out of the room.
The room sank into a deafening silence when everyone left. He pulled a chair close to her bed and sat on it. He reached out his hand to hold hers and kissed it again and again.
"I am so glad you and our baby are safe. I was so scared. I was scared of losing you and our child. I am really sorry. I'm sorry." Tears started falling down his face as he whispered these words to her. He kept kissing the back of her hand, pale and warm.
"RV." her voice was faint but he heard it clearly.
"Jillyanna?" he called out to her but she didn't open her eyes. She was frowning instead and a tear fell from the side of her eyes to her pillow.
"RV. Don't hate me please. You're the only friend I have." she murmured while shaking her head from side-to-side.

Travis was feeling more guilty with what he did back then. He hurt her so much that she's even having a nightmare because of it.
He stood up to wipe her tears and kissed her forehead. "I don't hate you Jill. I like you. I love you. I will take care of you. I don't hate you so you don't have to cry."
Jillyanna held his hands tightly and stopped crying.
Travis just watched her sleep on the bed. He felt so dizzy and tired already so he leaned his head on the bed, his left hand still holding her right hand and his other hand was placed on her stomach, like hugging her halfway.
Jillyanna woke up at dawn and saw Travis sleeping with his head on her bed and his body on his chair.
He was still holding her hand. "I woke up to this sight not long ago and now it happened again." she whispered to herself when she remembered waking up from a high fever and it was Travis who took care of her.
She didn't make any noise or move since she didn't want to wake him up. She just stared at the ceiling and sometimes to his face.
After an hour of silence, she felt a little numb from lying on the bed. She tried moving slowly to her side but he still woke up.
"You're awake. How are you feeling?" he asked her while helping her to sit on the bed. He placed a pillow on her back as cushion and pushed the button to lift the headboard.
Jillyanna just watched her do whatever he wanted to do. When she was sitting up and was looking at him, she felt a little guilty and annoyed at the same time.
"I'm okay, I think. I don't feel dizzy or anything. Why don't you sleep on the couch instead. I won't be running away anyway." she suggested so that he would leave her alone.
"You are not hungry or thirsty?" he inquired to make sure she's fine.
Jillyanna just rolled her eyes at him. "I'm okay. I don't feel hungry or thirsty. I just feel annoyed while looking at you."
"I'm sorry." Travis apologized immediately since he didn't know what else he can do.
Jillyanna sighed and pointed out the couch which was located few feet away from the right side of her bed.
"Just go to sleep over there. We're both tired and need some rest. Go over there and sleep." she commanded him which made Travis smiled. "What's so funny?" she glared at him but Travis didn't care at all.
He stood up and walked to her side. "I'll be sleeping over there my wife. Call me if you need anything. Good night." He kissed her gently and moved to the couch as soon as he can before she could pinch him.
"You've stolen few kisses from me already!"

Papercuts to Fell Immortals
Qing Shen is a girl from the counrtyside, forced into a role she never wanted by a Young Master who's infamy is spread throughout the land. As a Cultivator in the path to immortality, Qing Shen has to deal with her own problems as well as the mysteries surrounding her Young Master. Things, however, are not as they seem, and the young girl finds that sometimes the truth is more unbelievable than the lies we often follow. . . . If you want a less hidden-meaning summary: This story is about the struggles of one girl as she tries to become an Immortal. There won't be any meaningful romance, but there will be a plot that spans most of the story, and violence. Oh the violence! I'm not going to say that my ideas are 100% original (because hoo boy are there a lot of Wuxia), but hopefully I can write something entertaining. Guaranteed things: 1. Cliche events with a twist (I mean, it's literally in the description) 2. Important Characters will have backstories and motivations that will hopefully make them not one-dimensional (honestly, that's just normal stuff...) 3. Untrustworthy characters (everyone in the story lies, even me, so don't trust everything you read... but at the same time, trust everything you read) 4. Goodish grammar (not gonna say mine's the best, but it's readable in most cases) 5. Plot! (Everywhere!) 6. worldbuilding? (Should be there somewhere, but I probably won't do blatant info dumps... probably) 7. Character development? (Its there... at some point...) 8. The story gets dark at some points (if you don't like characters dying, then this might not be your cup of tea) 9. A strong main character? (She'll be strong, yes. However, her enemies are also strong. If everyone is strong, then is she no longer strong? My brain hurts) 10. Wow, this list is going on for awhile... uh, Believable and reasonable Action? (I mean, I'm writing for mainly my fun, so if I want a fight scene, then I might craft a scenario to explain it... or I might suddenly throw in a Dragon and call it a day) This story also goes by the same name over on Webnovel.com, but I'm going to be updating it here because, well I want to. They are both by me, and created by me. If there's anything that seems like a copy of another work, then that's just the genre being saturated by everything under the sun.
