Chasing After My Wife Chapter 69

"Then, I will visit him today. I have so many questions for him, too. I can do the interrogation for you." Jillyanna stated with a grin spreading across her face. Cielo smiled at her as well for being so energetic when it comes to cases.
Even after what happened to her during her undercover assignment, the light in her eyes for justice never fade.
"Alright. Let's go over after lunch. I booked a restaurant already for us. Would you like to bring Travis with you?" Lucian responded with slight smirk on his lips. Most likely, she would refuse. 'Let's see how will this turn out.' he thought.
"Let me talk to him for a sec." Even if she hates staying with him, she didn't want to see that worried look on his face. It made her feel guilty.
They all walked out of her room. Jillyanna went to the study while Lucian and Cielo walked downstairs and waited for her at the living room.
"Have some snacks." It was Savannah who brought some juice and pastries for them. "She's talking with Travis?"
"Yes. We'll have to bring her to the station and talk to Mr. Diaz." Lucian answered politely.
While they were talking, Jillyanna was standing at the door, in front of the study room. She could hear someone speaking so she knew someone's inside. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Come in." Valkyrie was the one who opened the door for her. Travis was sitting on his chair, facing a laptop with a stern looking face.
"What is it?" Travis asked her without looking at her face. He was still upset with her words and he didn't want to see her at the moment. He was sulking!
Jillyanna felt annoyed with his treatment and she really wanted to punch his face. 'This jerk!' she cursed mentally but she kept a straight face in front of him.

"I'm leaving with Lucian and Cielo."
Travis stopped typing on his laptop. His eyes were dark and there was something in him that she couldn't express. The room turned quiet and still. She felt suffocated for the sudden silence.
Valkyrie and Brown left them alone in the room. 'It would've been better if they are here!' she exclaimed internally for being left behind with just the devil in front of her.
"What do you mean you're leaving?" he asked her in a soft voice but it was cold and contain a clear warning.
Jillyanna rolled her eyes and turned around so that she wouldn't be facing him. "I am leaving with them. I need to go to the police station."
A warm embrace engulfed her from behind. His strong arms were hugging him and his head was placed on her shoulder. "I will go with you."
She slapped his hand away but he tightened it around her instead. "Don't tighten your arms around me or I will kill you if something happens to my baby."
"I'm sorry. But I am not placing my arms on your stomach. I wouldn't want something to happen to 'our' baby." He gave emphasis to the word our since Jillyanna kept using my or mine. And truthfully, his arms were right under her breast, not on her stomach.
"Whatever. Just let me go." she stated while trying to push away his head from her shoulder.
Travis stood up straight and held her left hand. "Let's put on something to warm you. I can't have you catch a cold outside." He pulled her gently and walked her back to her room.
"What the heck! I can prepare for myself. Stop dragging me!" she pinched his hand but he didn't budge at all.

"You're using the wrong word, wifey. I am not dragging you. I am walking you back to your room." he spoke to her which made her more irritated.
"I don't care about the word I'm using. AND I AM NOT YOUR WIFE! Stop acting on your own you dumbass!" she yelled at him but he wasn't listening at all.
Lucian and Cielo who saw what was happening had smiles on their faces. "Someone could finally tie her down and stop her from being willful." Lucian commented while watching the two interact on the second floor.
"Perhaps it's good that she met him. I don't really like the fact that she keep going out of the country but she's really stubborn." Cielo also stated while watching them. It has always been her dream to see different kind of expressions on Jillyanna's face.
She didn't like watching her smile forcefully or keep a straight face. She didn't want a robot sister. She wanted a human being. And Travis turned that robot into human.
Left with no choice, Jillyanna followed Travis back to her room. She just stood in the middle of her room as she watched him walk towards her closet.
She was wearing a black drawstring shorts and a white shirt which wasn't suitable to go out. It wasn't really that cold during the day but when the clock strikes two in the afternoon, the weather changes. It would turn very cold until the next morning.
Travis looked for a jeans and a turtleneck blouse. He also picked a long thick coat for her. He chose a flat shoes and a beanie. All the clothes inside her closet were bought by Savannah after he gave her measurements.
"Change into these clothes." he put all of them on her bed without any embarrassment at all.
"Can you go out for a while?" she asked slightly not knowing what to do in front of him. She was fidgeting in her place.
Travis walked towards her and without warning, he took off her clothes which made her scream. "What the hell are you doing? I'll get dress on my own. Stop it!" she smacked his arms but he didn't stop at all.
Travis threw the shirt on the floor and helped her wear the blouse. She was blushing from being flustered. Her face, neck and ears were all red. He smiled when she wasn't looking at him.
He lifted her hand and put on the blouse. "What's there to be shy? I have seen you naked before."
"Shut up! You idiot!" she smacked his chest this time but he just laughed at her.
He dropped on his knees and pulled down her shorts. "You shouldn't bend your body so much. It's not good for our baby." He pulled the jeans he chose earlier. "Get on this."
Jillyanna was so embarrass that her face could bleed from so much redness. "My baby isn't that big yet. I can actually just dress for myself. Stop bullying me."
"Dressing you up is not bullying. It's me being sweet and loving." Travis answered before pulling up the jeans for her.
In actual fact, he was having a hard time as well. Looking at her body, feeling her soft skin, seeing her flushed face and hearing her ragged breathing, he had to control himself, too.

The Granddaughter of Time
Teresa Hargrove was okay with giving up. She knew the Earth was doomed and there was nothing to be done about it. What she was not okay with was the Future, an enigmatic woman nearly fanatical in her devotion to making a difference, dragging her along — seemingly, to prove her wrong. It turns out though that the Future is very hard to understand. This story contains heavy themes, including mental illness, existential crisis and death. However, I still tried to eventually convey a message of hope. Several mythical and metaphorical beings in the shape of humans will appear in most chapters. However, they are not meant to be of a specific ethnicity or social background and are instead perceived differently by people around them. For your reading pleasure, feel free to imagine them any way you’d like, even if your imagination contradicts descriptions from the story. Enjoy!~
