Chasing After My Wife Chapter 65

Both Jillyanna and Travis were still sleeping when they reached the house so Hawk had to carry her while Valkyrie and Brown helped Travis.
Since no one really know what's the status of their relationship, they decided to put them in the same room.
Jillyanna felt her body sink on to the soft bed and thought something was wrong. She immediately opened her eyes and saw Savannah at the end of the bed trying to cover her with the soft quilt.
"This isn't my room." she stated that made everyone turned their heads to look at her. "I don't sleep in the same room with this man." she clarified before standing up and walked out of the room.
The four people looked at each other before looking towards the sleeping Travis. 'Your wife doesn't like sleeping with you.' They commented mentally before going out of the room as well.
They saw Jillyanna walked to another room and closed the door.
The house sank into dead silence with just their breathing circulating within the huge space.
"I am really hungry. Now that they're both safe, let's eat and restore our energy. My stomach had been grumbling since morning." It was Brown who broke the silence while walking down the staircase.
Savannah had placed all the food she bought in the kitchen so they helped themselves to replenish their lost energy.
The next morning, Jillyanna was the first to wake up among them. Well, everyone was exhausted from finding her and she was just resting and eating inside the cabin. She wasn't really that tired so she got up and walked towards Travis' room.
Now that it's morning, she can clearly see the dark circles below his eyes. He looked wasted and stubbles were visibly growing. Instinctively, she rubbed the bracelet she was wearing since last night.

"Sorry." she whispered before going out, closing the door behind her and walked to the backyard - her favorite place.
The wind was blowing her hair and it smelled fresh compared to the dusty air in the city. Birds chirping and some butterflies were every where. It was a rather nice morning for someone who experienced o many things from the past few days.
She sat on the bench while watching the view in front of her. The far sea was clear and there were boats and ships littered on it. Around her were different kinds of trees and flowers. The pot she broke last time when she escaped was already replaced.
"Baby, even though I wanted to give this to you, we don't really own this bracelet. I will just give you something else in the future. Let me return this thing, okay?" she spoke in a hushed voice while caressing her flat stomach.
She looked at the bracelet once more before taking it off and placed it on her lap. There was a faint shining light and she thought it was just because of the sun light so she ignored it.
At the same time, Travis was awoken from an alarm.
NO PULSE DETECTED. NO PULSE DETECTED. NO PULSE DETECTED.
It was the robotic voice of the device attached to Jillyanna's bracelet. His phone was blaring the alarm again and again.
His heart beats so fast he was suffocating. His eyes were red as he run to her room but she wasn't there. The bed was fixed neatly and there was no signs of movements or any noise.
"Where's Jillyanna?!" he shouted which made everyone open their doors and looked at him with perplexed gaze. They all went to her room and found it empty.
"Wait." Savannah went inside the room and opened the drapes covering the floor-to-ceiling glass window. They blinked their eyes twice before seeing someone sitting on a bench at the backyard.

Her head was down and she was looking at something in her lap while caressing her stomach. It was Jillyanna.
Travis didn't bother changing his slippers and ran to the backyard. He ran as fast as he could and found her still sitting in the same place.
Jillyanna heard the quick footsteps so she looked back to see who it was. "Morning." she stood up and greeted him but he didn't have any intention of slowing down.
Travis was still jogging towards her with unreadable expression. He hugged her tightly and buried his head in between her neck and shoulder. His breathing in and out quickly and his heart was beating so fast.
All he wanted to do was to find her immediately. He didn't want to lose sight of her or not know where she is or what she's doing.
"Don't go anywhere without letting me know. Don't take off the bracelet. Don't leave me." He spoke to her as he encased her in a warm embrace.
"Can't...breath...So...tight..." she tapped his shoulder repeatedly which made him release her. She pushed him away and gasped for breath. Guilt and pain flashed across his eyes but she didn't care. 'How far can he go in this pretending game? Ha! He's no different from him.' she thought while giving him a glance.
Travis was standing beside her not knowing what to do. He was gaping as if he wanted to say something but nothing came out of his mouth.
"Let's go back inside. It's getting hot in here. What would you like for breakfast?" he opened up to her and led her back inside, watching over her steps to make sure she won't fall.
"Anything except for stewed fish." she answered him without looking back.
"Jill?" he called out which stopped her on her tracks. She immediately turned to face him, anger and resentment were clear in her eyes.
"Don't call me that name or I will really hate you and I won't talk to you ever again." she snapped at him, clenching her hands into fist as she tried controlling her herself.
Since she's pregnant, Travis thought she was being moody like any other pregnant women he saw before. Therefore, he concede to her every little demand.
"Sorry honey."
"Shut up!"
"I'll keep quiet darling."
"You better be."
"Wifey, don't leave me again."
"Stop calling me wifey."
"Don't leave me again." He was serious this time. He pulled her closer and pried open her clenched fist which was holding the bracelet.
When he successfully got the bracelet, he raised her left hand and helped her wear it. "Don't ever take this off. It's my assurance to know you're doing well. Once this is taken off, I will get an alarm. You know wifey, I am really afraid. I am afraid I will lose you. I can't handle that cause I have fallen in love with you."

Seeker
The Gods are dead As they bled dry, so did the magic which gave them birth. In the new era of technology, its pathetic remnants must hide in the shadows or be locked away. In the ancient era of magic two beings often stood out: Galileo, an immortal scholar obsessed with knowledge and Angelica, the most loyal servant of the greatest among the now dead Gods. But why are they worthy of mention? Because after millennia of isolation, the two emerge in the new world beyond their reckoning. The entire story is told from the third person, however, each chapter will be told from the perspective of only one of the characters. This will be signified by the first letter of their names after the chapter number to avoid confusion. I submitted this fiction as a [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] as well as a participant in National Novel Writing Month. The original challenge had been to finish this entire faction within the month of November reaching the 55.5k word minimum. This goal had been achieved. I do not own the cover picture
