Chasing After My Wife Chapter 51

Jillyanna closed her eyes and waited for the man to attack her but he stopped approaching her when he was just few inches away from her.
He was so closed, so close that she can feel his hot breath fanning her face. When Jillyanna opened her eyes, he was looking at her intently, observing her like an insect under a microscope.
Her heart started beating fast and she felt a little dizzy. They were having a staring contest and no one was willing to stop. Truth be told, Jillyanna was really afraid of him but she can't show it to him or he will use it against her. She remained firm and calm under his scrutinizing gaze.
"Let me tell you something." It was a whisper. Words that almost flew with the wind from being uttered softly. He didn't move away from her or even move his eyes away from her. "Your mother was killed by Venus."
Calm and collected. That's how he looked like as he spoke those words to her. It took a minute before it registered to Jillyanna what he meant. Her expressions changed and her coldness started to creep around her heart.
"I know that. If it wasn't because of her, my mother wouldn't have died." Jillyanna responded with frost biting her words. The man in front of her chuckled softly before getting away from her.
He sat beside her so Jillyanna moved a little to give herself some space just in case he would attack her. He didn't speak for a while. The house sank into a deafening silence where only their faint breathing could be heard.
Jillyanna kept checking her bag to see if there's anything she can use against him but there was none. Helpless, she behaved herself while thinking for a way to escape. Even if it's a little chance, she would find that chance and make use of it.

"Are you missing RV? You liked him a lot, don't you?" His words were knives to her heart. RV was an existence that she wished to erase in her life, the person she wanted to forget so badly.
"Don't speak that name to me! I despise that person to the deepest part of my bones!" Anger, embarrassment, pain and all other negative emotions were fogging her ability to think clearly.
Even if she would oftentimes mentioned his name to Thomas, there were no expressions in her eyes at all. His name was just like any other words in a dictionary. There was no special meaning to it.
"Whatever they told you about your mother's death was wrong."
"It doesn't matter. Lucian would find out the truth soon."
"Why do you want to get a baby?"
"Because I want to. I don't want to be alone when I grow old."
"Your cafe was named after your mom, right?"
"Yeah."
'It's not easy talking to a psychopath. One topic to another and you have to be very careful with what you say. Make sure not to flip a switch. Aaahh! I am going crazy!' Jillyanna was murmuring mentally to herself while keeping a straight face in front of him.
He was still speaking something when a loud 'bang!' came from the main door. A man with a slightly long blonde hair came in. He looked decent when you first look at him but there were hidden malicious intent on his eyes.
He gave Jillyanna a look before a grin spread across his face. He licked his lips with an obvious perverted gaze.
"Did you get the tools?" the person beside Jillyanna asked to the new comer.
"I did. You should be very careful by the way, there were policemen around the area who found her phone." He was nonchalant when speaking but he actually threw a disgusted smirk on her. "Keep your slut hidden!" He stated before going out of the house once again.

If Jillyanna was afraid of the person in front of her right now, she was more afraid of the person who just left. There was something in him that tells her he was trouble. A very big trouble.
"Don't mind him. Follow me." He beckoned her to go with him so Jillyanna didn't think of doing anything to provoke the man.
One, the blonde person just walked out of the house and might come back. Second, she didn't know the traps that were laid for her. Third, there were knives everywhere in the house. One wrong move and a sharp knife will be thrown at her.
She would never risk her child! Left with no other safe choice, she grabbed her bag and followed him.
They walked for a while until they were outside the house. What she saw was a vast forest with different kinds of plants, birds chirping, butterflies flying here and there and some wild rabbits hopping from one place to another. It's the kind of place that she likes visiting but would probably becomes her burial mound.
After a few minutes of walking, she saw a small cabin in the middle of the forest. Fear started licking her skin but she stayed vigilant around her.
The man in front of her pulled out a set of keys from his pant's pocket. He opened the cabin and turned on the lights before gesturing her to come inside.
Jillyanna looked around the place once more. For a brave woman like her, she felt that the place was a little creepy.
The man pushed her a little to get her inside before closing the door behind them. The room was neat and smelled of woods and earth.
There was a single bed with pillows and blankets, a table, a chair and a small bathroom on the corner.
A single window was found above the headboard of the bed which would fit a 5-year-old child. Not a single chance she could use it to escape.
'What have I done to go through with this?' Jillyanna complained internally, weeping for her misfortune after trying her best to run away.
"You cannot escape from here." the man spoke to her after seeing that she had been observing the place.
Jillyanna winced from being discovered but she didn't show it on her face. "I know I can't fit on that window and the door would always be tightly shut. You wouldn't leave me dying from hunger, right?" It was a question with a hint of mischief but she really wanted to know because dying from hunger was the last thing she expected from him.
The man laughed loudly while looking at her. "I wouldn't hunger you sweetheart. I need you to be energized before the operation."
"What do you mean?" she asked with an expressionless face but her heart was hammering in her chest like crazy.
"I'm a doctor, remember? I do surgical operations." His eyes were cold and malicious but he was smiling at her which was even scarier. Then he turned around and left her behind without saying another thing.

Life, the struggle for existence
What would happen when man had to, once again, fight for its own right to live? Would the evolutionary counterparts of our ancestors manage to life through the struggle for survival? What would happen to society if a new reason for living came up, other than the enjoyment of the well-built environment? A reason that could either unite or destroy humanity. This is the struggle for their right of existence. As earth and its inhabitants are faced with the fear of unknown danger and the peril of monstrosities, some will falter, some will die and some will live on to tell the tales of those forgotten. As reality dictates, most will be part of the first two groups and only a small faction will be part of the latter. *This is my first attempt at writing fantasy, so I do hope you’ll enjoy it. The story is one of apocalyptic nature, with gigantic monsters, unfathomable powers and also a critial view on humanity and what it means to be human. I will definitely try to stay away from any tropes that are not neccesary to write fantasy, as I thoroughly despise non-creativity. There shall be no harems, no unrealistic behavior and absolutely no standard scene of dimwitted bandits that try to rob whatever similarly rock-brained princess they encounter. The main character is not black and white, because no human is completely good or completely evil. They’re human, not some idealistic concept of what one is supposed to be. Enjoy!Warning: Tagged 17+ for the occasional strong language and violence, some mild sexual content can occur in the distant future.

THIRTEEN (Evie's Perspective)
This is the 2003 movie, Thirteen, told from the perspective of Evie Zamora. We got Tracy's point of view, but what about Evie? Why did she do the things she did?I've seen a few different interpretations of Evie's perspective and I decided to give it a go. This is how I think Evie thought and the reasons behind why she did the things she did. This is NOT canon, just a fanfiction, and I am not affiliated with Thirteen or Catherine Hardwick in any way.
