Chasing After My Wife Chapter 47

His world went blank upon hearing such news. He knew Savannah won't play a prank on him. Everybody knew how severe it would be if Jillyanna was used to play a joke on him.
"What makes you say so?" he asked calmly on the phone. He needed to remain calm. He can't lose his focus or Jillyanna would really be in danger. She needed him this time.
"She was just standing in front of a grave. Many people came and was swarming her way. That's when I lost sight of her. I checked and asked the guards at the entrance and exits but they didn't see anyone with my description. Just now, I found her shoe. I knew it's hers. I am certain that someone took her away." she wanted to cry for Travis and Jillyanna.
Specially Jillyanna, she was pregnant for heaven's sake! She must be really scared right now.
Travis on the other hand, he asked the vice-chairman, Diego's father, to take over the company while he's gone. Saving Jillyanna was his utmost priority right now. He just found her and now she's in trouble once again.
"Ask everyone to check where she is! Give me Lucian's number, I need to talk to him." Travis stated before ending the call.
Diego also received the news so he went to his friend's office as soon as possible. When the elevator opened, he saw Travis standing in front with his father.
"Travis, I'm coming with you." Diego spoke after giving his father a glance. He didn't even bother himself to go out from the elevator, but he waited for him inside.
"I'd really appreciate it. Thank you." Travis responded and get inside the elevator after leaving instructions to Mr. Sandoval and his secretary. His face was gloomy but his voice remained calm.

Jillyanna regained her consciousness but it was dark everywhere. She moved her hands and feet, found that she wasn't actually tied but was blind folded.
'My kidnapper was another idiot.' she thought to herself and removed the cloth from covering her eyes.
What she saw was a very unexpected place. It wasn't an abandoned warehouse or an old place that she usually saw in movies, but a very clean and big house.
She was just sitting on a couch in a living room. It was silent around her and there was no signs of life aside from her.
She stood up from the couch and observed the area. The living room was clean and the furnitures were neatly arranged. There were small frames on the shelves so she picked it up.
Shock and horror flashed across her face as she covered her mouth to stop any noise from coming out.
She was trembling from fear with what she found. She felt dizzy and wanted to vomit but she was afraid to make any sound.
She was still focus on watching the pictures when she caught a glimpse of someone behind her through the glass frames. Her heart accelerated and her back was covered in cold sweats. She couldn't get herself to turn around and face the person behind her. She remained silent as if she didn't notice anything.
"How are you?" she acted startled and had her hand on her chest before turning around.
A handsome face of a man was right in front of her. His eyes were blazing as he stared at her eyes directly. It wasn't a look you would expect from a kidnapper.
"I'm fine. Why did you take me here? Are you kidnapping me for ransom?" she asked him like it was a normal conversation between friends. She looked at him for a while before looking around the area with a relaxed and calm manner once again but her heart almost popped out of her chest from anxiety and fear.

The man just stood in the same place while watching her walk around the place. He was observing her and he loved the way she moved her hands and waist. He likes her red lips, just like someone he knew from before. Unfortunately, that woman died.
"Do you think I need money?" he asked her back which made Jillyanna even more scared but she remained calm.
"If you don't want money, are you after my life then?" This time she stopped from observing the place and faced him.
The man didn't approach her, instead he went to a couch and sat there while watching her. He looked neat just like the place he was in. His rather prim and proper for someone who kidnap a woman or someone who killed.
"I don't like you getting a baby. I want you to abort it." Cold and deep. That was the impression that Jillyanna got from his voice.
"Having a baby is none of your business." she snapped at him but he didn't get mad or yell back at her.
He looked so innocent while sitting in front of her and she was unperturbed with his request. Truth be told, she wanted to wring his neck.
"Do you love the father of your child?" he asked her which made Jillyanna frowned.
She couldn't understand the connection but she still answered him to buy some time. "I don't love him." clear and firm without any hesitation. Lucian and Cielo must have known what's happened to her so she wasn't that worried.
"Since you don't love him, why keep the child? You must get rid of it before I do."
"I want to keep this child even if I hate the person."
"Then, I can give you one. Wouldn't that be great?"
Their exchange of words made her speechless. It's never fun to talk to a psychopath. They would make you want to bang your own head or blow theirs with a gun.
"Who are you?" Jillyanna had switched to a serious face and sat on the couch that she used to sit before removing the blindfold.
"You should have known me a long time ago. Didn't you read my name or recognize my face?" This declaration and mocking question confirmed Jillyanna's guess. Her intuition was telling her to escape but she knew it's futile to run from a place you don't know where the location is.
She rummaged her bag and found that her phone was nowhere to be found. When she turned to look at him again, a sinister smile was hanging on his lips.
A shiver ran down her spine as she watched him getting closer and closer to her.
