Chasing After My Wife Chapter 33

Jillyanna waited for an hour after all the physical check up and test she went through. She was currently chatting with the doctor since there was no other patient at the moment.
"Where's your husband by the way? Does he know that you're here?" Dr. Suarez asked her while also typing some information on the hospital's system for record keeping.
Jillyanna shrugged her shoulders and sighed helplessly. "I never thought I'd be pregnant after doing it once but I was really really really hoping I would be. If the result is positive, I'll surprise him at home."
Her words seemed right but a smirk was hanging on her lips. She'd be crazy if she'll let Travis know about her baby. That's not on her plan.
Lies. It was a lie. What she told the doctor was all craps and lies.
After a little while, the nurse came in with a brown envelope. She handed it to the doctor with a beautiful smile.
"Are you ready?" Dr. Suarez asked her before pulling the result out of the envelope. Jillyanna nodded her head. She was excited and nervous at the same time. "Congratulations Ms. Madrid! You're 34 days pregnant!"
Jillyanna was so happy that her plan was going smoothly. She reached out for the result and saw the positive mark and the number of days on the lower left.
'Well, come to think of it. So many things happened and it was pushed behind my mind that a month has passed. I totally forgot it!' Jillyanna thought to herself internally.
She smiled to the doctor and expressed her gratitude.
"Now let's talk about the check up you have to take in the coming months. Pregnancy should be taken seriously. Babies are angel that you have to carry for 9 months."
"I know doc. However, I'm leaving for States. Can I just do this abroad?"
"Yes. It's fine. Wherever you are, as long as you go for a check up for your baby, that is fine."

"That's it then. Thank you so much doc. I'll be leaving first." Jillyanna stood up and shook the doctors hand before going out.
She was so happy that she didn't know where to pit her happiness. Everything that she was thinking went out of her brain and all she can think of was her baby.
She had been wanting to have her own child ever since she was in her teens. It didn't matter to her if there's no one by her side. She can take care of her baby and dedicate all her time for her baby.
With all the baby thoughts in her mind, Jillyanna hummed while walking away from the doctor's office.
However, a certain someone was beyond shocked to see her go out from the ob-gyn department.
Eliezer stood dumbstruck in one corner. He was on his way to get some food for lunch. The Obstetrics and gynecology department is located near the hospital canteen for the reason that pregnant women would be craving different kind of foods from time to time.
He just got there when Jillyanna came out of Dr. Suarez's office. His mind went blank seeing her happy face looked into the envelope. He forgot to call her out.
Jillyanna made it back to her car without any delay. She opened the door and got inside, fastened her seatbelt and drove the car to the nearest bookstore in the area.
"Hi. Where can I find the books for pregnancy?" Jillyanna asked the lady at the counter.
"Shelves 13 and 14 on the right side of the aisle." the lady answered and went back to her work.
Jillyanna walked slowly and looked around to find the aisle number. It was located at the middle area and there were several women with their husbands or partners looking for books with them.
Jillyanna started looking for books, too. She picked up some books, read the title, flipped through pages and returned them. She did the same process over and over again for some books. Those that she thought were better and sensible were placed on her basket.

For almost two hours of finding books, Jillyanna managed to get ten different books about taking care of pregnant women, what should be avoided and so on.
Jillyanna paid for them and went back to her car. She felt dizzy from searching the books so she rested for a while inside her car.
"I am so blessed. My braincells are amazing, too! My plan was flawless" Jillyanna praised herself while caressing her flat stomach.
After resting herself, she turned on the engine and drove back to her own home. She carried the paper bag containing the books upstairs.
Realizing that she had so many groceries at home and she needed to get rid of them before leaving, Jillyanna cooked a sumptuous meal for her late lunch since it's almost 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
She made a steak and stew some veggies for a balance meal. She placed some of the food in a plastic container and walked outside the house.
There were several houses around Jillyanna's home and they've been guarding her property ever since she left and until she returned. They knew she'd come back either to sell the house or to live in it.
She's thankful to them and everytime she's back from her travel, she'd give them souvenirs or invite them to dinner.
Jillyanna knocked on the first house that was the closest to hers. There lived an old couple at their 40s who helped her several times to do her gardening.
"Hello Uncle Shan and Auntie Laure. I have some food for you." Jillyanna greeted them and handed the plastic containers.
"Thank you so much, Jill." the couple expressed their gratitude and received the containers.
"You're welcome. I'll be leaving first. Is Jenny in their house?" Jillyanna asked the last minute.
"Yes. She's home." Laure answered her question.
"Thank you." She waved her hand and walked back to her house. She got another plastic containers for the two houses that's just meters apart.
She went to the left side of her house and walked for few minutes. She didn't mind walking around the place since it wasn't very hot. There were many trees, flowers and different kinds of plants around the area.
Jillyanna arrived and she saw Jenny hanging her clothes to dry.
"Sis! You're here. Come inside." Jenny stopped her work and guided her inside her small house. She's an orphan left by her mother and she refused to leave the house thinking that her mother would come and get her one day which was 3 years ago.
"You can finish hanging your laundry. I'll stay here." Jillyanna sat on the chair and rested for a while.
The young girl walked out and was quick to hang her clothes so that she can accompany Jillyanna.
"How's your study?" Jillyanna asked her when she was done with her work. She wiped her hands to dry and walked to her side.
"It's fine. I'm doing good according to my teacher. Would you like to see my grades?" she suggested which Jillyanna just waved her hand.
"It's okay as long as you're doing good. You need to study hard for your future. If you need anything else, informed Cielo immediately." she gave the little girl a gentle pat on her shoulder.
"I will study hard and make you proud. Thank you for taking care of me when you didn't have to."
Jillyanna and Jenny talked for a while and she asked her to join her for lunch as well. Instead of eating the food she gave, she asked Jenny to give it to the neighbors and brought her back to her house.

Among other things, I separated it into a new book as it has elements of progressive LitRPG and a fantasy-world setting.Since I'll keep on writing The Wardens of Destiny, this will be one of my side-projects. Eventually in the future, I plan to integrate some of the protagonists in this story with the main storyline.
